Thermaltake Level 10 VL30001N1Z Black Gaming Station Computer Case
Comment:
- Exquisite design- Flawless fit and finish; no manufacturing defects on mine- Exceptional cable management- Whole case built to guarantee absolutely no overheating- Enormous chassis makes a bold statement in the room- LEDs are neat and look excellent with the matte black case- Fans are almost silent- Dust buildup internally is unlikely to happen. All component compartments with a fan are also filtered at entrance and exit. - Case is unfinished! Only two of the six SATA drive bays were cabled for information and power! -You- will have to modify the case, and the parts needed (proprietary inline SATA data+power combo cables) are really pricey. This is unforgiveable, given this chassis' huge cost tag! Tried a generic substitute inline cable kit, but the design prevents its use. Broke down and bought the manufacturer's extremely high-priced proprietary cabling, so I could use all six of the drive bays. Outrageous.- Apathetic, unfriendly customer service on the phone (though my representative did speak excellent English).- Component "cages" are spread out--and mean that common cable lengths are nowhere near long enough. I necessary to scrounge for extra-lengthy floppy cable, CD/DVD out to Sound-In cable, USB cables, etc. Even Thermaltake's own internal wiring should be unlooped from the chassis, in locations, to reach common components, placed where the manufacturer directs them.Poor, incomplete documentation. My Setup (all components will fit):MOBO: Gigabyte 890GPA UD3H for AM3 chipsetPower Supply: Corsair 850HX ExpertCPU: AMD Phenom2 1090T 3.two GHz six-coreMemory: 4 ea 2 GB GSkill F3-12800 DIMMsDifficult Drives: 6 ea 1 TB Western Digital Caviar BlueOptical: DVD/ROM ASUS E818A4 blackOperating Environment: Ubuntu Server 10.10

Expensive, but AWESOME

Personally, I had no problems with the installation. The case can hold even an E-ATX, 1600 power supply, a few SSD hard drives and can fit a huge V10 cooler in there. It has enough space for 3-way SLI with the 480.

Think very carefully...

While it's nice, and it makes sense that it cools things very well - if you want an awesome video card, most of them out there are too long for this case and will not fit. I am very glad I did not waste the money buying this case, and opted to thoroughly research the compartment dimensions first.

A good buy at $500
Comment:
(Satisfaction)(Very satisfied) (Pros) (The tower is very cold and looks awesome) (The compartments are reasonably easy to access) (Cons) (The fans that come with the tower for the motherboard are cheap and very loud) (The compartments are a little hard to reach) Bottom line While I feel a 800 tower should have a bit more stuff like labels on what SATA cable goes to what Hard Drive slot, I am still very satisfied with the tower as a whole probably because I got it for around 500. If you catch it on sale I highly recommend it, but I couldn't really recommend it at full price as I needed to replace the cheapo fans for quieter ones.

You pay double for unattractive and nosiey
Comment:
This is not an attractive case, priced insanely high, and is a pain to route cables through unless you are willing to tug and stretch them. Noisey, huge, heavy, and poorly located usb connectors. Keys. seriously, a 50lbs case with keys. NOT SSD FRIENDLY.

poor layout
Comment:
For a full tower at the price asked there should be no problems, but there are. it was imposable to reach the 12v power connector with the power supply cable. Forget connecting two ATA hard drives or a hard drive and DVD, a standard cable will not reach. If i could send this case back i would.

Awesome Case
Comment:
i laid my hands on this case at a local store and wow. each hard drive has its own heat sink and a cooling fan right under it that the pictures dont show you, best of all all the connections end at the mother board compartment all nice and neat and not too many and all have plenty of slack so there not streached across your board like alot of pc builders come across when installing everything in a normal case. great buy and if i could afford it id get a one for every custom rig i setup.

Pricey but worth it!
Comment:
The price is high for a case but what you are getting with this product is fine engineering. There are no plastic parts in this case, no bells, no whistles, no digital displays, which stop working after a few months, just a beautiful case that keeps every piece of hardware cool. The cooling features of this product are good with two 4 inch fans in the motherboard compartment, I removed one to mount my cpu watercooling radiator with fan. All of the power attachments are neatly tucked away. This case is huge and heavy due to the makeup of aluminum and no plastic parts, this is the last case I will ever have to buy. Plenty of room for upgrades and no need to worry about if your video card will fit or not, there is plenty of room for two or three. Great product!
