Unit worked as described. I am using this to house a disk to serve as a monthly CLONE of my desktop internal HD, so that in the event of failure, I can remove the disk from this unit and drop right into the desktop and go on. For me, this unit is the perfect fit.

Bought this enclosure a month ago, and so far I'm loving it. I put in a 500G WD drive into it, and I run it pretty much 24/7 with no heat issues. The fan on the enclosure is extremely quiet, and the LED's are about the perfect brightness. Bright enough to notice, but dim enough to not distract. I wanted an eSATA enclosure and this one was perfect cuz it came with a bracket unlike some others(great for me since my case nor MB had one) All in all a good enclosure.

So far, so good. I installed two of these along with 750 gig Seagates a couple months ago. 100% ''up'' time, no issues. The boxes are a little awkward to assemble, and not really the right choice if you want to swap drives in and out a lot. But they look cool and they are very quiet, so they are delivering just what I hoped for.

This is the coolest enclosure I have ever used. It keeps my Seagate 750gb sata hard drive very cool and not hot to touch. The unit is very quiet, well made and has run flawlessly for over 1 month. I have tried other enclosures and they are so hot to touch that I was afraid it would destroy the drive without good cooling. I would recommend this enclosure to anyone.

Having churned through several enclosures that held hard drives that cooked themselves, I needed an enclosure that was going to stand up to a beating. I run my external 5 or 6 hours a day and as an network admin, I need something reliable. This enclosure is the one to beat. Rock solid for 6 months now and Tiger Direct is amazing for it's service/support.

This external enclosure is great. It took me less than 5 minutes to install. The fan is quite and the enclosure stays completely cool to the touch. The blue LED in the fan enclosure looks awesome.

I can't believe how cool it stays and how quiet the fan runs. This was definitely worth the extra money. It went together perfectly and if you choose not use the USB connection, the eSATA PCI bracket is simple to install and worth opening up your computer for. I have no complaints about this enclosure and recommend it to anyone who may be worried about frying their hard drive with those slimmer fanless enclosures.

''You get what you pay for'' comes true here. Although more expensive than most, it's worth it. I've heard too many stories of ''fried'' hard drives, or data problems caused by and extremely difficult HD cable connection... None of which is a concern for this enclosure. It stays cool really COOL. The air coming out is a fresh breeze and the case stays cool. I'm not at all worried about keeping it on. In fact, it stays probably cooler than an internal drive without a dedicated fan... Also, connecting the drive inside the enclosure is a breeze and the connection is very sturdy. The fan is quiet. Of course you hear the wind noise it makes but no mecanical noise. Get this one, and stay away from cheap toasters!
