Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC
Cons:"Cable Management" can be confused with modular as the Spanish lingo uses "Modular"?There is 1 PCI-E set of wire with two sockets?

Pros:Main power 24pin and the EPS 4+4pin ATX12V cables are both long enough to be routed through the back of my large Antec case.Seems to be quiet?
Comment:
If there is no need to high power, this seems like a good deal. Installed on a my old Asus P5Q-E mobo with a Core 2 Quad Q6700 process plus dual Gigabyte Radeon HD 5450 low profile PCI-E cards (GV-R545-1GI).This is NOT a modular PSU and Cable Management really means that they are long enough to be routed in a larger case under/behind the mobo. The fan is supposed to be intelligent but I have not actually pushed the system so it will automatically throttle up.The main thing is the price $39.99 after NCIX discounts PLUS a $20 manufacturer's rebate! I doubt that anyone would complaint!

Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC
Cons:None technically. This PSU is overkill compared to the unit it replaced, lots of unneeded (for this computer) longer "cable management" cables to bundle up and tuck out of the way, but that's not TT's fault :-)Slightly better prices available from other online vendors but availability met my (friend's) need to fix his computer.

Pros:Very flexible PSU (supports Intel or AMD processor motherboards)Good availability & good price with rebate.
Comment:
This ATX12V V2.3 PSU was a good replacement for a failed ATX12V V2.2 (HiPro) PSU from a friend's 5-yr old HP Pavilion A6602f PC, powering:- AMD Phenom X3 8550 Triple Core- 4 GB RAM- 640 GB HD- DVD burner with Lightscribe- NVidia GeForce 6150 SE Graphics- 15-in-1 card reader- Windows Vista

Pros:Looks GreatOK PerformanceGood Selection Of Connectors
Comment:
The PS is fine, works great, no issues. Installed with ease. Looks quite nice as well. Only issue is with (Surprise!) the horrible, horrible, rotten, mail in rebate. Without doubt it is the worst website I've used for this type of shakedown. Pop-up, page load fails, etc. etc. all designed to discourage you from applying. Absolutely criminal. And then, they shake you down one last time with a "jiffy" rebate that costs a dollar! Should be illegal. When will companies learn that these sort of practices p!ss off customers. Won't be buying from Thermaltake again on a rebate.
