I initial found this unit, 6 months ago, even though functioning on a job in Germany. Soon after the installation, I fired the unit up and had to do a double take; I could barely hear the unit operating. Now I'm in the method of building myself a new HTPC and the initially PSU I thought about was the Challenging Energy XT. Does what it should and does it rather quietly. No complaints.

A lot of power, runs cool and quiet, no problems at all so far None that I can believe of other than you have to pay for 1 ;) I have this in a semi-advanced gaming construct. I run a 1055t phenom x6 OC'ed at three.4Ghz and an ATI Radeon 5870 graphics card along with 510LC asetek/corsair liquid cooling as nicely as a gigabyte ga-870a-ud3 motherboard. I've under no circumstances had any challenges whatsoever with this energy provide. It's mounted in the prime of my case so I can just barely see the 3 indicator LED lights through my side panel window but that's fine considering that I've by no means had a dilemma and needed to see them anyways. One intriguing function is the turn-off delay. When my comp turns off the PSU stays on for about 15-20 seconds THEN turns off. When the fan spins down I can hear a tiny click but it's not a massive deal. I just use the noise as an indicator that the energy provide is completely turned off once I hear it. Very encouraged!

Effectively constructed. Really nice packaging. Modular cables even come in a good vinyl bag. If a Power supply can be sexy, this is the one. I’ve not built my personal Computer since the days of 386s, and I have to admit, under no circumstances believed about finding a good quality PSU. By no means knew about Modular PSU, but my pal told me to get a single for cleaner cable management. He was one hundred% correct. None. Even devoid of the ฮ rebate you must get this beast. WorksHas the two six-pin motherboard connectors that I necessary The textured finish looks good but it is too close to the internal fan. Any pressure at all will lead to the fan to rub the inside of the grill which is aspect of the box. The amount of clearance among the fan and the grill is so tiny that I could not manually bend it in a small enough quantity to repair the problem. I ended up opening it (voiding the warranty) and adding spacers among the fan and grill. I gave it 2 stars due to the fact it would work perfectly with a minor manufacuring transform. Manufacturer Response:Dear Customer,We at Thermaltake apologize for the inconvenience this could have brought on you. Please speak to ttsupport@thermaltakeusa.com for warranty service.Ideal regards,

Loved the packaging. Satin finish box, canvas bag for additional cables and good STICKER for your case! It's got a quality really feel because it's a quality solution. I got this because i'll be using it for years adding far more and much more equipment to my rig. But for NOW its efficency has my laptop working with less energy and generating less heat.I only had to plug two of the cable sets into the back for almost everything i use (getting a more powerful gpu next). As for sound, I can't hear it at all over the other fans in my case (Antec 300). The status LEDs are on the wrong side of the psu for bottom mounted circumstances. Though this doesn't make it shed any eggs because my case doesn't have any windows on it anyway. I'll add evaluations as my personal computer gets much more demanding hardware.

Purchased in a combo deal with MSI GTX 470 video card for โ (ฤ right after rebate). Terrific deal for a 775W 80plus power provide.Attempted operating the new GTX 470 with my current OCZ 600W energy provide. Looked O.K. at 1st then had a spontaneous Win7 X64 reboot. Place in the TPX-775M and have had no more challenges in the Windows desktop or games. Supplies plenty of energy. This was my very first modular energy supply. You can take a cable, do a test routing in the case, bend it as essential before plugging it in. Tends to make the method less difficult. Lots of cables and connectors. The fan is quiet. None that I have encountered so far. I've applied Thermaltake energy supplies in the previous and they often worked reliably. Hopefully the very same will be accurate of this one.

In all probability ought to be 80+Silver, but underrated at Bronze.Deep into 2 digit pricetag when on sale/rebate. Possibly the highest effectiveness per dollar out there correct now in the powerclass. Runs quite cool and fan stays on following shutdown to extend lifespan of electrolytic caps, nearly as quiet as my Corsair HX. 5 year Warranty.I am in a position to overclock additional with stability (watercooled Fermi). I was hitting the limit with my old PSU. So i surely got a overall performance increase since of this upgrade.I dont assume i am obtaining coilwhine from this PSU under intense load. Had it with the corsair psu, but it wasn't so poor. Not one hundred% modular. Wish the ATX/EPS plug was modular and the 4ƲEPS. Stiff cables, I favor softer flat cables. I was still in a position to bend these the way i wanted.Cables are not specifically the configuration/length i would like, however, i have a custom situation so this isn't TT's fault. Wish i got the 875m, but sale value wasnt as enticing as 775mCame from Corsair HX series, which nevertheless serves me effectively in a backup rig. I needed far more power for my major rig so purchased this when it was on sale.Based on OCCT anxiety test graphs, this has slightly much more CPUCore ripple than my Corsair which was becoming pushed beyond its capacity. I have Not observed any adverse functionality effects. five & 3v outputs seem to be more stable.

It runs quiet and more efficient than the psu it was replacing. It has some led lights on the psu that would be usefull in assisting setup your method. The led lights would only be visible if you had a situation with a window and the standby light will draw power even if the laptop is off. I know its little, but it is a pet peeve of mine, when a method is off its power draw ought to be . I purchased this to replace a psu that was damaged durring a storm. An earlier model toughpower, it saved my system from a energy surge. so the only element I had to replace was the psu :). I will be purchasing a ups now to protect against any longer energy misshaps.

excellent, excellent costs for what yo get. none I have a 450 watt thermaltake psu which is modular. it is a excellent notion. Thermaltake is a excellent brand name. They make wonderful good quality items. It has been in 3 machines now. I am employing it to make sure there is enough energy to run just the 1 gts 250, 2x1T difficult drives , 2x lightscribe DVD drives, AMD phenom2 x4 820, 8gig ram, and so on. I was hunting at this PSU for a doable future create. The evaluations as usual for thermaltake are high.

I have observed numerous circumstances in 20+ years I have been building Pc's, but this is the 1st case I have purchased that really should have Godiva chocolates hidden within! The very first impression I got was the ribbon enclosed matte completed box truly felt distinct than the standard cardboard boxes I've encountered. The finish of the box was just, diverse. It just felt different.Right after exposing the contents I was treated to packaging that would make the planet's jewelers drool with envy. Encased in neatly snug foam was the energy provide. A separate Velcroed case hid the several cables. Even the energy cable came in a box - and not just the cable, but four Velcro cable ties and a logo as nicely.I have in no way observed such attention to details.... and I haven't even unwrapped the power provide but!The power supply has all the cables I could ever need to have! I could not come across the chocolate! The cable lengths are great! There are adequate connectors to satisfy just about any need - even mine! The video power cables are almost certainly stiff mainly because they contain higher recent carrying strong conductors - not the usual stranded cables. The power supply even has STATUS LEDS! I've By no means observed such detail. I don't know how you could go incorrect with this power supply. Did I mention... even the fan is definitely quiet?

Very, very pleased with this item. No probs but, stays extremely cool in spite of long gaming, my tower enclosure (in desk) isn't even incredibly large and doesn't enable a lot of room for ventilation on the sides but the fan is Really powerful! I can hear the fan but smooth sound .. not too loud. Modular cables (w/ case) and plugs for unit are extremely nice! I can in no way obtain a different p/s that is not modular! Didn't fit the case I wanted to use it in.. power cord conn. was diverse than back plate. electrical energy is cool...

Being modular is just nice specifically color coding plugs and cables. Also looks nice and general it's just a excellent unit for a mid-range PS. With the current rebate, it's tricky to pass up the deal. My only con is that all the cables are a small stiff compared to other PS. Not positive whether or not it's because of higher wattage or whatever. A quite important reminder for these who like to cut corners like myself out there not to do what I did. Anyway, I got this PS to replace a different unit due to GFX card upgrade and decided to use a single of the HD power cable from the earlier unit with my setup. The dilemma was my setup wouldn't boot following the upgrade. Lengthy story short, my OS HD (Intel x25-E 32G HD retail value = 踗) was shot due to making use of the wrong modular HD power cable. By no means use anything cable from yet another unit unless they are identical since the pins on the modular cable are not the very same if they are not the similar make and maybe identical model. Attempting to conserve $ but ended up spending more $ for cutting corners...:=(

This issue is a beast.Voltages are appropriate on.775 watts of pure power.Unbeliveable amps.(Yes Amps)Watts are important, but even so amps are much more so.It's cheep to make watts, costly to make amps.Verify this factor out with my Fluke and I got additional then I paid for. This doesn't happen often.齐 watts at 76 amps)Nice.Excellant cables, very quit fan,Can mount top rated or bottem and not upside down.(If you have a suitable lower moumt situation)If you will need a power provide, purchase this it won't disappoint. NONE but I positive wish it expense 10 buck with a 15 dollar instant rebate. I hate reviews with hears what I got.But just to give you some notion of what this can realy deal with, hear go.EVGA P-55 MB,two EVGA 580 GTX and 4 500GB tricky drives, running in raid .Doesn't even touch-it.You do get what you pay for,and this rare case, you get additional.Corsair my but.

Great cable setup, really stable, way more power than advertised, stunning packaging, thoughtful extras integrated for free of charge. They even sent my my rebate (Did you hear that OCZ? Some organizations essentially send you the rebates they promised.) None that I can discover immediately after six months of operating this fairly hard. My XFX nVidia 780i has a Q9550 overclocked to 3.8GHz, two GTX465s in SLI (Both overclocked to 756MHz / 1928MHz, which is higher than nVidia says they will go, but then once again, MSI Afterburner doesn't really take that into account, does it?), and a Revo drive rather of common difficult drives. PassMark 7. says that the CPU is running 169 watts, Tom's Hardware says the overclocked video cards are burning 570 watts, which comes to 739 watts. The 780i motherboard, Revo drive, DVD burner and case fans Ɨ of them) are on major of that. Bottom line: When I'm playing Planet of Warcraft in 3D, and the FPS monitor says that I'm getting 50 3D frames a second, this Power Supply is running full bore. Hour after hour. And it by no means complains.

It operates ......... The cables are created particularly low-cost. Whilst I was installing this unit I heard a crunching noise although connecting the SATA devices. I then removed the connector and located 2 of the pins pushed back and crushed. This would have shorted the unit out if I hadn't caught it. I then tried the other SATA cable supplied with it, and it did the same factor. I'm now utilizing the cables off a cheap Rocketfish energy supply that I bought 2 years ago on Eb** to make my new thermaltake energy supply function. No LED fans, poor finish quality, poor craftsmanship all the way about in my opinion. Not worth the price tag for sure. Appear elsewhere since excellent control is slipping badly at Thermaltake. I've bought several cases, cpu coolers, ect. more than the years, but this will probably be my last Thermaltake obtain. When I pay the sort of dollars Thermaltake wants for their merchandise I anticipate high quality. I commonly don't write testimonials, but I was so disappointed with my obtain I just had to say anything. I hope this aids somebody else make a wiser selection.

the thing is a beast on energy, single იv rail tends to make it capable to run anything you can imagine (aside from SLI on dual GPU cards, those demand about 900w) and its essentially 80plus silver, not bronze according to plugloadsolutions. cords are very stiff, hard to navigate by tight situations devoid of having a cord go into a fan and not be capable to get it positioned elsewhere. more about it getting 80+ silver, according to the rating boards more than at pludloadsolutions it scores 85.57% at 20% load, 88.59% at 50% load and 85.81% at 100% load placing it at just above silver standards.
