I was able to purchase this hard drive on sale. It is quite faster than the Seagate 500gb that it has replaced. It’s also fairly quiet. I purchased a 500 GB Hitachi a few years ago and was quite satisfied, so I hoping that this drive made by Toshiba will be the same since Toshiba took over the Hitachi hd business. |

Cons:Will have to see how long it lasts, but it comes with 2 year warranty.
Pros:Good speed (for a mechanical drive), relatively quiet (my case fans are louder). Performs quite well (short-stroked to 250GB). Comment:
So far so good. I hesitated a bit at first, but the 2 year warranty pushed me to buy it. When on sale, it's a pretty good price. |

Not too much to say about the product. It's a very good option for storage. I have been using it on my computer as data storage only and haven't had a problem. So far I haven't found it any worse for noise than other comparable HDD's. For the money, can't go wrong. I would buy again. |

I got it to replace my old hard drive, and its great. You also get lots of space to work with, and its pretty cheap as well. |
Bought this for a budget AMD APU upgrade build with windows 7 64 bit. Works flawlessly. Better warranty than comparably priced drives. Just purchased 2 more for similar builds with windows 8.1 pro 64 bit. Very fast install from USB and very fast boot times. Side note, Recommend installing Classic Shell on windows 8 though, bypass metro altogether start with classic desktop. :)
