Ultra M923 Full Tower ATX Case
Comment:
So, I bought this case to move a server that I have with a lot of hard drives into. I love the quick release rails, but there are only 6 for hard drives and I am not sure how many 5.25'' drive rails since I only needed to use one. There are two three drive cages for 3.5'' hard drives. One of the odd things is that one of the cages has a fan, but no the other one. So, if you are going to be using more than 3 drives, make sure to pick up an extra 120mm fan. For me, the LCD does not matter since this is part of a server that is in the basement, I just needed something to hold a lot of hard drives, and it is really nice for that.

Very nice case. It's nice weight, plenty of room inside comes with 3 nice fans and with the power supply at the bottom it stays cool inside the case. Only problem I had with this case, like most everyone else, the LED display on the front broke in 3 days. But it's no a big deal for me.

Overall, the quality of the case was good; however, I also recieved a unit with a bad display. I spent all afternoon building the unit, I went to fire it up and the display is solid blue with no text. They were very responsive about issuing me an RMA number and exchanging it, but I am still disappointed about the time I wasted building the unit, disassembling it, and packing it for shipping. I'm hoping the replacement has a better display. When I get the replacement, I intend to test the display before I start assembling the entire unit.

First off folks...this is an ULTRA case...it was designed for the larger PSU 1000w and 1600w. These PSUs are MONSTERS, and require a good bit of room. This is why it is ''upside down'' this also allows for less heat buildup inside the case as the HUGE 140mm fan in these PSUs can effectivly draw off heat in the lower part of the case. This case is well designed and well thought out. Keep up the good work ULTRA

Received this as apart of a barebones kit. No apparent damage to the case itself everything was included. Manual was very basic. After I pieced everything together the LCD screen on the front ran fine. It seem to be around when I was installing the Mobo drivers that it died. None the less it no longer works and just lights up. A nice feature but not a necessity, rather more of a teaser. Therefore this case gets a low score in Quality and Value.

When my m923 arrived, the front plastic panel was quite beat up, all the pegs which hold it on and nearly all the drive bay covers were broken, although the steel case itself was fine. Got hold of company who were really helpful in suggesting how I could replace & refund it, so that's good. The description is deceptive - there's not 10 external 5.25'' drive bays PLUS an external 3.5'' drive bay PLUS 7 internal 3.5'' drive bays = 18. There's 10 external 5.25'' drive bays, 7 of which can be used to house 3.5'' drives instead, and one of those 3.5'' drives can be accessed externally (for a floppy drive). So you can mix 5.25'' and 3.5'' drives, but can never have a total of more than 10. Case is upside down (PSU at the bottom, expansion cards at the top) but its actually a nice idea and works well, it stops your case being top heavy. Overall its nice, but nothing fantastic, I'm sure there are much nicer cases for only a few extra dollars.

I received this on 6/12/08. The top fan was broken (can be replaced). Numerous rivets broken still inside the case. I am wondering if it has been dropped or crushed however, the case itself is not bent. The user's manual is a joke when it is trying to explain the fan controller installation and where to install the sensors. Overall not bad and looks nice but, if you are really wanting to put your money into a case there are others out there...
