This is a cable to hook up motherboards to SATA hard drives. Why they can't include this with the hard drive when sold eludes me, however the cable itself does work perfectly.

this is a good cable for the money but I was actually looking for just a SATA drive cable, but they all seem to come bundled with a power adaptor. It would be nice to pay a dollar or so less and get just the drive cable. If I fill my parts draw with one more SATA power adaptor I'll scream!

I purchased a build my own barebones kit by first calling to make certain I was buying what I needed. What I did not know, and the representative on the call did not tell me, is that the case I purchased comes with the SATA cable that I needed. I have given this a 4 overall based on the quality to value found at other merchants and from the variety of different suppliers of SATA cables. I do plan to purchase another SATA drive in the near future.

Cable kit is just what I needed. Works great. So good in fact that I ordered a 2nd one to do the same installation of a 2nd DVD drive on my wife's new computer.

This is not a review of this specific product but of ultra products.I purchased an ultra 500watt Xconnect psu from tiger last year,got a great price on it,and am now just using it in another computer.the sata power cable on the ultra X connect was'nt long enough in this new case so i called ultra about it and to my delight they sent me another one plenty long enough for the job....''FREE OF CHARGE''!!
