Ultra ULT40120 2.5" Hard Drive Enclosure - SATA, USB 2.0

I bought one of these through Amazon and it did not work at all. I have tried all the USB ports on my computer but it is not detected in Windows. I hope I don't have any problems returning it.

At first it seemed great, though it did not work with certain USB ports. But after a couple weeks use it's not working at all. My guess at first was that it doesn't get enough power, though the light was on. Now I don't know.

This enclosure works great. I just put my old Mac hard drive in, and it worked flawlessly. Getting the drive in was no problem. Yes, the screws for the casing are INCREDIBLY small, but you only have to work with them once. The enclosed screwdriver worked fine for me.

This case is small and works great. Absolutely no problems with the case (mechanically or electrically) whatsoever. The screws are pretty small. Who cares though once you have it put together?

$19 price was a great value. Yes, eye-glass small screws and a lot of them so overkill there, but for one drive that is only installed once - not a problem. Worked flawless, identified instantly on 3 different XP pc's. One week and no issues with heat or connectivity.

Mechanically, my Fujitsu 160 Gb drive is a 1/4'' thick for this case. The top won't install. But a little duct tape works great. Electrically, the case is great. Windows XP immediately recognizes the drive through the USB port

This enclosure is great. It comes with everything you need, just add a drive and you are up and running. The screws are a bit small, but not bad. I do wish they had sent an extra few of the little things tho.

Good looking case, but I was disappointed to find it was not an end-open type, where the drive mechanism slides out the back, but the top half mounts over the bottom half after installing the drive, and you have to screw it in place with some of the tiniest screws I've ever seen. Had some trouble finding a screwdriver small enough to fit. Not bad, though, if you plan to keep one drive in it all the time. I had hoped to use it for sliding different drives into it to pull data from them in my IT job, but it will not be the best for this.

Great case. Well machined. Includes screws to mount drive. No powers upply needed runs well off my laptop usb port.
