I bought 17 of these, they were on sale for $9 which was pretty awesome. No coasters so far.

Yes, these dvds do not include a spindle. If you want a spindle pay more. Thankfully I had a spare empty spindle to put these on. So far the movies ive burned work great with no duds or coasters.

Please note that this item is not a spindle. It is a stack of DVDs that broke open during shipping due to poor packing, I doubt if any will record they arrived scratched.

This is the first time I bought this many discs at one time - 50 times 2. As many reviewers have already indicated, there is NO spindle and the discs just tumble out when you fully open the cellophane wrap. Fortunately they tumbled onto my computer desk. I also bought 100 slim jewel cases which I immediately pressed into service - albeit sooner than I expected. I have always said I can stand up in a slight breeze which is what the absence of the spindle represents. As far as the media is concerned - it works well - no coasters here, either. I have to give quality a 4 for packaging because when you tell me there is a spindle, I kinda expect one!

Two packages came split open with all the dvd'd scattered in the box. You think you would learn how to ship these without this problem. I read the review of another customer before I bought these and he had the same problem.

Well I had to buy some just to see how much of a value they were. No they don't come on a spindle, which I expected. They do have the Verbatim Logo on the top, but what you don't see underneath is who actually makes these. They are NOT the AZO dye (MCC 03RG20) discs made by Mitsubishi Chemical. They have a MID of the dreaded CMC-MAG. A very poor manufacturer of discs.

yes they dont come wrapped the best and shipping takes a toll on the plastic wrap, but they are the best discs you can buy and this is a price you can't beat. no sense in paying more just to get some fancy wrapping and a spindle at a store.

Why would you ship a product that is not properly packaged? I bought 12 50 packs and only 2 were still in the suppliers plastic wrap.Is there any quality control there? These should have all been shipped back to the supplier you got them from...it just makes me wonder how many were put loose in my order?..

Yes,the media is excellent but when you just throw the product loosely into a box,and pack it poorly; you have to wonder if you bought it from the right source.
