I upgraded my five year old Dell Dimension 4600 that had 512 Meg memory with four 1 Gig sticks of this memory. XP will only use 3.5 Gig of it, but that is fine. It was easy to install and the system saw it right off the bat. All of my gaming software runs much faster now, and Internet pages seem to load faster also. Hard to beat 4 Gigs of RAM plus shipping for $122. Now I just need to upgrade to a 400w power supply and install a new video card and my pc should be good for another three years or so.

For some reason, might be an issue with my PC, I was only able to use 2 of the 4 sticks I ordered. My computer kept shutting down and freezing up after a few minutes whenever 3 to 4 sticks were installed. My computer did show that I had 4 gigs of memory when I installed all of them but it just kept shutting down. I tried reintalling the memory several times before finally being able to successfully use 2 of my old memory along with 2 of the Wintec for a total of 3GIgs. The 2 I kept seems to work perfectly and it did speed up my PC, I only wish I would've been able to use all 4 GIgs. Overall this memory is still a pretty good value for the price.

Maxed out my memory. Got an older computer and it was running slow. Put in this stick and it made the computer go a lot faster. No problem installing it. I even put on the cooler with it and both work flawlessly. The store has been great in getting it to me. I received the order withen 3 days with regular mail. I just installed a 1GB Memory stick in my computer and one in my wife's computer. They were easy to install and have made the computers much faster. I highly recommend Wintec since they were the least expensive (except for the Corsair which required a rebate). Go ahead and order, you will be glad you did.

ordered 2 sticks (2gigs) to help out a older desktop (2007) . bumped total memory up to 2.5 gigs with a on board graphics card. overall , these two sticks made a night and day difference in the desktop. almost all applications tripled in speed as far as loading and general use. very pleased with the ram and the super fast shipping from. will continue to buy from here as always!

bought this cause I turned my old comp into a halfass gaming computer but i only had 640mb of ram. i bout this and i tripled my ram. went from 640mb to 1.5gb. it runs so much faster. ddr ram i a little bit more expensive cause its older but if you have an old computer that only takes ddr you dont have much of a choice
