Works proper out of the box. Geforce 9300, HDMI, 6x sata/raid, Fan on NB, Won't Hold CMOS settings more than night. No CPU Voltage control! No CPU Voltage control! No CPU Voltage manage! No CPU Voltage manage!Makes this board an impossible overclocker. I was at three.2ghz stable on an e2160 on my gigabyte board, I'm at 2.6ghz now (enduring random reboots and bsods) Wish I would've bought it from newegg, so I could return it for a distinct brand. :(

Replaced the NB fan (rated at 26db) with a Scythe 40MM (rated at 19.56 db) and employed the Win7 drivers instead of Zotacs and I have a good quiet machine that looks wonderful. Now I haven't discovered any computer software that can monitor this board temperatures accurately, so if you are into overclocking or want to monitor the method closely, you will want to appear elsewhere. But if you are searching for a board with PSǘ ports and GeForce 9300 HDMI help, this board is available at a good value.

Uncomplicated setup and set up, ample room, recognizes each faex and fals 1TB WD drives and Samsung 2TB drives, 6 sata ports and 1 Master/Slave IDE, excellent upgrade or replacement for Intel 775 chips, four memory slots and utilizes older DDR2몸 chips. NVidia 9300 video so if replacing old MB you get a free video upgrade and have your old card for dual monitor assistance. Has HDMI, VGA, and DVI video connections. Comes with 2 sata cables. I installed 6 drives Ɩ.5 TB + DVD-RW). All connectors clearly labled. Built a new method with this board in about a single hour like OS install. Fast boot time, Win7ኜ installed promptly with no problems. All drivers had been found via either windows update or initial install. Obtain it. The a single NewEgg sent me only recognizes 4 sata ports and so has to be returned. Contacted Zotac about difficulty and they responded within 12 hours! Incredible for nowadays's surroundings. Now have to wait for RMA turn about even though - SIGH - Major SIGH - Huge SIGH! No computer till replacement arrives. Impressed with ZOTAC though. Will think about them 1st for the two other new technique builds I have to do. The user manual says there is also a GeForce 9400 version but it is not on NewEgg's or Zotac's web web site. Possibly will come out soon? If getting you may possibly look into if/when this product will be obtainable. Dissapointed with defective board but still impressed with Zotac.

Cheapest 9300 MB out there... A dead on arrival Motherboard is normally far better than how this MB behaves. At least you don't commit hours attempting to figure out what's incorrect.1st Difficulty - Dead IDE port, so I required to get a SATA CD rom drive. Right after that, found out that out of the six SATA ports, only 3 function - rest simply do not recognize my drives. Even the 3 that do operate, they randomly loose my drive connection. This thing has been a nightmare. I'm arranging to return it to newegg and get a name brand version instead. Conserve oneself grief and purchase a superior brand.

1) Onboard HDMI is fantastic for a HTPC, but gamers / energy customers would definitely require to make use of a graphics card.two) I've had a incredibly good encounter with Zotac's consumer service. The rebate method seemed to be taking longer than I expected so I contacted their service division. They expedited my rebate and I received the check these days.three) I've utilized the board in my HTPC for 3 months and it's been totally difficulty free of chargefour) Installation was a breeze - it fired ideal up and I had no complications5) Factory fan over north bridge heat sink - it kinda gives me piece of thoughts 1) nVidia Graphics Software program actually degrades efficiency. Windows 7 will grab the video driver, but the nVidia computer software is installed separately. Immediately after putting in the nVidia software program my Windows overall performance score went down and the personal computer could not push iTunes visualizer **I Advocate letting Windows locate the driver but steer clear of installing the nVidia graphics sofware**two) Not very full user manual & lacking codes - despite the fact that I've never necessary them up to the this critique My buddy and I built nearly identical HTPC's employing this board - he's had a really similar / good knowledge but didn't publish a evaluation. I would like to note that the onboard graphics are just sufficient to push your standard HD film (.mkv file) / iTunes visualizer. Everyone that desires to do really serious gaming will need to have to add a video card.I use this pc for nothing a lot more than playing movies / Television shows - and it functions particularly effectively for that process.HTPC Build Involves:Zotac GF9300-A-EIntel Core 2 Duo E7500 ƒ.93 GHz)G.Skill 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 800 SDRAM (yes, only 2GB of RAM due to the restricted function I desired out of the laptop or computerƜ TB SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3EG HD203WI (tons of storage and no troubles yet, though I do routinely backup)GIGABYTE GN-WP01GS PCI Wireless AdapterAntec NSK2480 case - it's quite slick

Flawless 1080p playback with onboard video chipset. HDMI/DVI/VGA outputs will let you hook it up to just about any new Tv. LGA 775 socket lets you place some in horse power in there with it. Runs XBMC on Ubuntu like a dream on my 42" LCD Television. GPU idles at about 80C, even so it never ever seems to go above 88C so just be positive you have fantastic air flow in your case and it shouldn't be a dilemma. Based on what case you get be conscious that the CPU's heat sink will come really close any rear mounted PSUs so consider receiving an aftermarket that has a low profile. Also note this board only has two SATA ports (one for your optical drive, 1 for your hdd) so its finest to stream any content material you may possibly have more than the network or from a huge external drive (I went with a "drobo" external drive and it performs excellent!).

The initially board I received had a quantity of pins on the CPU socket bent and twisted. I RAMed it and the second board was ok. The shipping for the new board was slow, not the nusual three days.

The last of the GeForce 9 MBs Like other reviewers ahead of me, mine was DOA with a useless, undocumented error code. Zotac's internet web site is a PITA and response time from item support was really slow - so slow, in reality, that I had already RMA'd the MB back to NewEgg prior to i received a reply from Zotac. Will post an update when the replacement arrives. If Š is DOA, I'm asking for a refund.

Tiny. Filled with what you will need such as wireless. Bios with possibilities for tuning. I required a magnifying glass to see what my needle noose pliers were carrying out (forget utilizing your hand). Running: Windows 7 HP, 4GB 6400 DDR2 with E6300 in a Rosewill RC-C1X-01 with DVD and 1TB SATA. Slightly disappointed with a Microsoft score of 4.7. Graphics was the limiting score. The rest had been in the high 5's. I just used the drivers that came automatically from Windows update. Also the memory I installed was not 1066.Temps: CPU 42C (Intel, retail cooler).Noise: a hum (it is substantially quietier than my other ITX and my bigger machines). The situation created working with the board a lot more challenging than I suspect other circumstances would be. I was able to set up the antenna on the unused prime audio hole on the back plate. However, I had to turn it upside down to get it to fit (I don't assume the radio waves minded).Cost: < 躼 such as OS

I needed Raid5 capability for 3-5 years planned storage and thewith auto-rebuild and great Windows status through the nVidia manage panel just tops it off. If you have a newer HDTV, it has HDMI Video/Audio out (my tv doesn't push HDMI audio to my receiver) that functions wonderful and can resize the video to the true pixel size of a 1080p tv (about 1880x1040 pixels). This performs perfectly for a combination HTPC and NAS for my workhorse server and laptop. You will need other elements to make it operate (cpu, ram, etc). I had to disconnect my RAID five array to let all of Windows 7 (has a stupid 100MB OS partition) to install on my separate Seagate drive - When I reconnected the drives to the identical ports there was no dilemma or degradation though.Software RAID relies on the CPU. If anything occurs to the motherboard I want one more Zotac GF9300-a-e (read other thoughts for my resolution to this). The GELID Solutions Slim Silence 775 CPU cooler cut my finger when I touched a fan blade by accident even though it was on. I have a 1 Gigabit backbone in my home and a switch to manage it - although transferring more than 800 GigaBYTES of information to the unit I averaged 38% of that (real world speed is 1Ǟth that due to bit to byte conversion). Inside Windows, min was 20% for smaller files although max hit more than 60% though reading from a either single SATA and ESATA drive on my other server. At that speed there isn't a difference among internal and attached storage. Much far better than most single objective NAS drives.Purchased this when the Intel SS4200 NAS decided it was sold out immediately after I paid for it. No regrets, I'm currently thankful considering that I had to swap two SATA cables around on my RAID5 array (due to cable stretching). The array went into degraded status for a single of the drives, removed the drive and added it back in to let it auto rebuild. With the Intel unit I wouldn't have had that solution. This is in an nMedia htpc 400ba with an Intel E6300 (Conroe C2D) and OCZ 2x2GB, Seagate 160GB, 3 x Samsung 1TB drives in RAID5

Lots of capabilities for little mb. Fits in slim micro-ATX case. Can run server software program (RHEL 5.2). Run Yorkdale 5500 cpu. Also can run 128GB SSD sate (super talent) - on a 250 watt PS. Poor support for Linux. To other reviewer- you can get RHEL 5 to work. I can not get multicores to show up in RHEL five.two nonetheless - not certain if it is a bios setting or what.

Installation and setup of the board in my new method were completed with only one minor difficulty (wrong I/O panel). Haven't stressed it too considerably yet, but so far the performance has been fantastic thinking of the cost -- specifically of the onboard video. It looks like there are a batch of boards that had been packaged with the incorrect I/O panel. Just write a message to Zotac assistance and they will send you a new 1. I have currently received it.

Solid construction and layout. Possible memory expansion to 16GB. Quite good on-board video chip. Performance tests are outstanding. Manual is sketchy. If you use IDE mode for challenging drives, only four SATA ports are enabled. You have to configure RAID in order to activate SATA ports 5 and 6. I found this only soon after the fact. Also an try to install Linux (RHEL 4) failed -- appears like there are no drivers that assistance this board. I had to use the workaround via VMWare VMs. Built also included: Sigma Shark 585 W Power Supply, Intel Kentsfield Q6600, OCZ 8GB Computer 6400, 1 Hitachi TB SATAƯ Azus DVD-ROM.

I've had this Mother board for just more than a week. Been operating none cease with no problems. Components seemed to be high high quality with no issues. Installation was straightforward. Plus I've effectively configured a dual boot method with Windows XP and OpenSuse 11.1 running the most up-to-date kernel and Nvidia graphics drivers. Just adhere to the linux ideas for manually installing the driver and don't bother with the Yast install or A single click install. Not a fault of the Motherboard, but depending on your case, you'll want to be cautious on RAM alternatives. In my HEC 7KJ9 case, the CD rom is proper above the RAM. You may possibly not be in a position to use those high performance RAM chips with the tall heat sinks. Also the the Power supply cables with this combo are a tight fit as the PS cables aren't very extended sufficient to reach the MB headerAs for Zotac buyer help, I had no luck going even though the phone support, but did have luck with the on-line assistance chat. Seemed my drivers CDRom disk was negative, and the primary Zotac.com website was down when I necessary to download drivers. Buyer help was in a position to get me option links For the price tag you can't beat this motherboard with all the functions it does supply. it is tiny this is the most unstable MB I have ever worked with. It operates when it desires to and Zotac tech assistance is a giant ball of fail. They can't get you the codes for the debug screen, so that is far from a selling point. if you want minimal driver assistance and something that barely runs, this board is for you. They don't recover from sleep mode, if you are operating something other than windows 7 on it, very good luck acquiring drivers that work. The factory onboard NIC loses connection all the time, so i had to go to a stand alone NIC to preserve connected a lot more than 10 minutes. Surely spend your dollars someplace else. I have been waiting over 3 months for my mail in rebate, I may as properly chaulk that up to a different MIR that I will by no means get.
