i got thsi onsale and was cheap so i bouight it i used it with 3 diffreende hd very good performace withh of them. tech support really nice and very nicely desinged keeps it cool ionside.

I bought it because of the rebate. I'm still waiting for it. Install drive is easy and it works as it should be. It's warm but not that bad when in use. Overall it is a good buy.

I like this product. I have bought 2 of these from another store and bought another one here.It's cheap yet good. It does get warm on the outside but not that hot. SATA & IDE is a bonus. No firewire/esata tho but thats fine I guess.The power adapter is a bit big but thats just a minor annoyance.

Great! Looks awesome, works great. Faster than I thought it would be. Love the metal casing! The enclosure also keeps the drive quiet, I can't hear the 500GB WD unless I put my ears right up to it.

Fit both drives sata and ide which I think is a real plus for me. Easy to install the Hdrive. But why the huge plugin. Takes up most of my power bar. And I don't like mail in rebates just put the darn thing on sale.

I bought this to put a new Seagate 500Gb 7200.11 Sata-II driver in order to put more data and pr0n on it since I already fulled my current 500Gb drive. It's worth it but there's something a little annoying, it's the power plug that is way too huge for nothing. Makes it hard to fit on a common power bar.

Perfect enclosure for getting data off of old hard drives. Runs both fairly cool and quiet as well. However, the insides are a little tight with both the Sata and IDE connectors. Still, I highly recommend this enclosure.

Build quality is very good, especially considering the price. The best feature however, is the presence of both IDE and SATA interfaces. Would definitely buy more!

Good so far. Relatively easy install with 500Gb SATA Seagate HD. It is fanless so it's quiet. The enclosure appears to draw heat from the HD relatively well. i.e. it gets quite warm. In addtion to the bright blue power LED indicator, there is a red activity light.

Would recommend, this thing is really secure, it is tight inside with ide wires and a little stuffy with sata, but I think its a benefit because it keeps the drive in tight without any movement :] imo a snug fit is good for drives that are going to be on the go, there are screws for it also. The only downside you can't switch drives without a screwdriver..

Great little enclosure. Looks good and works without headache. Installing the drive was tricky and took about 15 to 20 minutes to get it right, as the included instruction manual seemed to leave out certain steps. But I'm a smart little cookie and managed to figure it out just fine.Plugged it into the host machine, and since it is a USB interface, it was instantly recognized. I use it as an always-on backup solution with automatic nightly backups, and it has performed this task admirably.It is a fanless design, which has its pros and cons. The main pro is that it is completely silent. The main con is that it could theoretically result in overheating drives. There are air vents though, and the heat dissipation appears to be very good, as the aluminum sides are not particularly hot to the touch. I really like the fact that it can accept either a SATA or PATA drive - it really is a one-stop-shop in that sense. Would happily buy another as the need arises.

Great enclosure. No noise and nice style !Just got it today. Putting it together was easy. Just that the wires were a bit tight to put the hard drive and everything to close correctly.

An excellent enclosure for the price. Works wonderfully with a Hitachi Deskstar P7K500 500GB SATA2.

Overall I like this drive enclosure. I got it for my 500gb IDE drive. Assembly is very easy, but it is a little crampt because of the wires. It weights a lot more that the average enclosure, which is a good thing. It also has a cool LED on the front. The only downside is the huge box, NCIX had to ship it in a jumbo box, lol

I know it looks kind of strange having the same iteam as a strength and a weakness. It's nice to have a device that will support both types of drives, but I also found that with cables for both it sometimes made it crowded to get the drive and all in the case.Overall the case feels quite cheap with a number of plastic or flimsy parts.

I got this enclosure for a IDE drive. It is very very easy to install and very easy to use. It also looks pretty cool.
