Cons: no AM2,AM2+,AM3 mount included, supports intel cpu right out of the box. AMD users must purchase a seprate bracket for 9.99 to install this cpu block.

Pros: I heard this was one of the best cpu blocks to get, and at $59.99 you cant beat it.
Comment:
Wish swiftech would have included AMD mounting hardware right out of the box, Had to purchase for an extra $9.99 plus tax. Still a great buy just wish they included AMD Mount.

Cons: Price

Pros: Good performance
Comment:
I think the ability to change the inlet port 180 deg is very useful. My compressions would not have fit otherwise (1/2-3/4)Unfortunately, they say a performance hit will be evident, but not too bad. Would rather have capability to use compressions.

I have been shopping around for a CPU waterblock for sometime. After reviewing many I decided to pick up a Swiftech APOGEE XT LGA1366 CPU Water Block G1/4 Chrome HI-FLOW 1/2IN Eurostyle Barb Fittings. Iam very pleased with my purchase and highly reccomend this product.

Cons: Does not come with the hex key required to flip the inlet.

Pros: One of the worlds best blocks.
Comment:
What a wonderful product. Its performance under load is inspiring once put through its paces. And when used with silver compression fittings you will be blown away, although this requires you to flip the inlets nozzles orientation to accomodate them. The drawback of doing this is that it seriously restricts flow as the water is diverted through a narrow channel on the top of the block. I found that to be a little bizzare, as it reminded me of the pressure drop  when using mofset waterblocks. So if your using comp.fittings you may want to get 45 degree angle fittings to dodge that bullet altogether and keep the nozzles in their original orientation.

Cons: For the AMD AM3 socket, you will need the optional "Swiftech APOGEE XT Hold Down Adapter Plate for Mounting On LGA771/AM2/AM3" to use this thing.

Pros: Compatible with almost all CPU sockets (may need some optional parts).Very efficient.Well built with complete and comprehensive instructions for the installation.
Comment:
This is definitely a great CPU water block. Many reviews states the Apogee XT to be the best CPU water block on the market right now and I do understand why. Installation was a breeze even if I had to buy and install the optional AM3 mounting kit. the contact surface with the CPU is really well finished, just like the entire block. Some people are complaining about the two fittings being really close, but I've been able to use my compression fittings without changing the default configuration of the block using one Feser 45° angle adaptor for the inlet and a regular compression fitting on the outlet. I haven't done huge over-clocking yet, but I never saw my Phenom 965 reach 40° under load, and on idle, the CPU is running about 1 or 2 degrees over my cooling liquid temperature. Highly recommended.

Pros: Water Cooling!
Comment:
Overall I am very happy with this water block. After price match this was a great purchase. Installation was straightforward. The only complaint I have is that the mounting system isn't the best. With the one I recieved the thumb screws were not threaded properly so I had a really hard time mounting the water block. Swiftech came through and sent me a new set with extremely fast shipping. Great purchase!

Cons: Can't use compression fittings unless you're willing to restrict coolant flow.

Pros: Works very well, very easy to install.
Comment:
I'm very happy with this block. Installation is very straightforward. Adhesive pads on the backplate are a very nice touch that allow you to position it and then secure the block in place without having to worry about the backplate moving. My i7 920 is running at lower temperatures OC'd to 4.0Ghz with this block than it was running at stock speeds with the stock heatsink/fan.The only downside to this block (and it is a minor one) is that if you opt to re-orient the port to allow a pair of compression fittings to fit on the block, it becomes more flow restrictive than if you leave them the way the block was shipped and use the included barbs.

Cons: The base is huge and heavy. Backing plate can be a REALLY tight fit

Pros: Supposedly the best you can buy. Still need to test.Detachable inlet plate that can be rotated 180° to allow installation of extra large compression fittings.Copper base is polished to a mirror finish.Comes with Arctic Silver Céramique pasteIt's very attractive
Comment:
Over all it looks really good and I hope it cools as well as they say. However:I just finished attaching this to a EVGA X58 SLI LE board and the base is actually touching one of the power caps. I took it off to see if any damage was done and there was a very small crease on the cap. I tried to gently bend the caps away from the copper base but one still makes contact. The base on this doesn't need to be that big either. It overhangs the actual chip by quite a bit.The 1366 backing plate was also a really tight fit. I was worried I was going to crack the board when I pushed the backing plate in. Yes, I had to use that much force. It would have got 5 stars if it weren't for those small problems. So if you own a board with caps really close to the chip socket and are considering this unit. You may have to do a little grinding to make it fit. I didn't and I'm hoping that making contact with the cap isn't going to be a problem.

Cons: if you are looking to use compression threads probably not the block for you. the 2 barbs fittment area are very close together and the fittings that ncix has in stock, the bitspower ones will be too big to fit both.

Pros: 29 degree idle(!!) (with northbridge in my cooling circuit also) i7 920evga x58 sli http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy46/jjh21/IMG_0070.jpg?t=1263500568
Comment:
sexy. oh and swiftech allows you to have two configurations of this block. it has to be fitting either the way i have it in the picture or 180 degrees in the opposite direction, parallel to the release pin, can allow for some different arrangement of your tubing.
