It is the cheapest remote control for any PC or Laptop. I tried on windows XP and windows 7 and it works as promised. Great range, I'm using it to control XBMC and although it doesn't come with software to reprogram the keys, I can control all features of XBMC and other programs like Media center and even internet browsers with no trouble. The included mouse in the control is excellent. I really recomed this product. |

Best $20 i've spent in a while. Works with mpc home cinema & w7 and i can customize keys, via mpchc mainly, to do everything my remote wonder did. i will bury that today. |

Most buttons generate unique keyboard events which can be programmed in mythtv setup. This device acts as a keyboard and a mouse. This may conflict if you have 2. You may have to manually edit xorg conf and list 2 keyboards using device id if this is the case. |

This isn't a bad product, my only complaint is that windows installs it as a keyboard USB device and not an IR device. Works OK with Windows Media Center, but ran into some issues when configuring the TV Tuner, it attempts to detect an IR device and cannot detect this remote (being a keyboard). |

Although vastly cheaper than some other alternatives my only qualm with the Adesso remote is with the price, it is only a remote control after all it shouldn't be this expensive. However the small pricing moan aside this is a fantastic product. It does everything you want and more. I have Vista and it works with almost every program making lazy computer browser a breeze from across the room. Great with a whole host of different software packages the remote is at its best when working with Media Center, these together really shine a new light on the PC as a complete media package. Recommended for any Media Center user. |

My husband bought this to control our home theater pc. It works great! I have a 2 yr old who is not easy on remotes, and this one is durable! The only flaw I find is that pointer control is a little slow, but for the price, this is great! |

I got this after my dog ate the remote that came with my tuner card, now I'm not mad at the dog anymore. This thing is great. It puts the PC into the HTPC since now I can control everything with the remote. Using it with Vista 64 and all I had to do was plug it in and it was working. |

I've been shopping for a remote to use with Windows Media Center and my home theater pc. I wasn't sure what features I needed or wanted on a remote but none of the $200.00 models seemed to fit the bill. I decided that, for the price, I could use the Adesso to test my system. I love it. This is a great product. It is 100% PnP so absolutely no drivers needed. I'm using Win7 x64 and so far I'm very satisfied. It controls much more than just media centre. You will be amazed to discover what the mousepad and right and left mouse btns can do(such as drag and drop WITH A REMOTE CONTROL!)And it looks and feels durable too. I gave features 4 cos there aren't alphabets thereon, else EXCELLENT. |

Bought this to operate my first media center. Never had much desire to build a media center, but I had an old PC sitting around collecting dust. This remote made it worth it. The mouse button is it's best feature. I only wish it had a power button (that is the limitation of the PC) then it would be the ultimate remote. I would definitely recommend this, and have. |

It is simple to use ture plug and play. has worke with a custom made desktop (AMD dual 6600 cpu, 4 GB ram , genforce 6900 video, DVRW, two 500 gb sata HD, HP Pavilion 6300xe, and Alienwaare M17. Different systems and different prosser and worked well with all. |

This thing is just too cool. It worked straight out of the box. The only thing I didn't really like was the LED on the USB receiver shines and blinks red, instead of being infrared, which is invisible to the naked eye. Now I have a affordable remote to control my Windows Media Center PC. I love it. |

This is an extremely well functioning remote the buttons are well placed and comfortable. I have large hands YMMV although my sister has smaller hands and seems to have no issues with the remote. The only issue I have found is if you are using it with a Media program other than media center. It uses keyboard shortcuts for some of the buttons so it may need to be remapped for programs like Mediaportal. However For Media Center it functions perfectly. |

More features than I could use, which is always a bonus, great distance, use it to watch movies when I connect my computer to my TV so I can be lazy and sit on the couch to watch my shows/movies. Mouse button takes some getting used to but works great once you have it down. No issue installing it. And the receiver is small sleek enough that you can't see it taped up on my wall above the TV(to make it feel like I am using the TV and not the computer) |

Best Vista or Media Center Remote you can buy! It wont turn on your computer, but it pretty much will do anything else. Instant access to media center, internet, media player, and a mouse pad right in the middle. Genius! Wish it had letters under the numbers like a cell phone, but im not complaining. Great Remote! Great Price! |

You can find an open source software that make the IR receiver work with any remote =). the mouse pointer handle little tasks in style(la-z-boy style). I like it because its cheap and customizable. |

Great remote. The only button I wish it had was a windows button. It has a pad in the middle that can operate like a mouse... which rocks... and a wide array of working buttons in programs like windows media player (yeah, I don't even have windows media center edition.) All in all though, I would say it was a great buy and easy to install. |
Great product and works fine out of the box with Vista. On the Flip side it can wake the computer from sleep but not turn it on. It has no ability to input alpha or numeric characters on the MCE seach functions.
