Cons: n/a

Pros: works well enough for the sale price ($20). install was easy
Comment:
Used with skype. Install (Win7 x64) was very simple. No complaints for a $20 camera.

Cons: Software is not intuitive or clear, perhaps a bit too big for mobile use.

Pros: Stereo microphones, mechanical shutter - privacy feature, fits onto monitor or on its own stand
Comment:
I got at $20 which is not quite the deal that the person below me paid for it, but it's still a lot of value for the money. The camera does indeed do autofocus, so it's not just some gimmick where the lens is set to infinity focus. Very easy to adjust and setup, but it's not clear to me through its software just how much resolution is being pumped out to apps like Skype. No regrets.

Cons: Poor low light performance. Kind of Large. At 960x720 the video is only 15fps.

Pros: Was great price on sale. Has manual lens protector/cover. Good resolution. Video and photo buttons. Auto focus works. UVC so should work on Linux.
Comment:
Got it on sale for only $10 - fantastic price for a true 3MP webcam. The low light performance isn't very good (smaller sensor area per pixel I suppose). Some people report the auto-focussing continually "hunting" but I found in reasonable light that I never experienced it - didn't try that in low light so don't know how it does there. At full list price I think I would have been disappointed but on sale it is a good deal.

Cons: Autofocus often locked on to the background if I was trying to focus on an item only taken perhaps 1/5 of the screen (but in centre). Annoying but not unreasonable. All the buttons do nothing on Mac but then again they don't advertise Mac supportThe base is large and heavy, this is excellent for use on a shelf or table, but if you need to hook it over a laptop screen it's a little bulky (but does work).

Pros: Works very well with my Mac even though HP doesn't advertise it.Decent low-light performance.Auto-focus works quickly and doesn't require drivers to be active like some cheap cams.Has a sliding lens cover that's not for protecting the lens but for privacy assurance.
Comment:
Great camera at the sale price. Was very pleased it worked with Mac without official support from HP (I've tried another HP and had success with that too).I am wall mounting it for security use and the heavy base and excellent adjustably is perfect for that . Used it in Photobooth, EvoCam and SecuritySpy without problem. I was only getting 20FPS though when I expected 30 but didn't tinker with settings in the SecuritySpy software to see if I could boost that higher. It appears to have stereo microphones that operate through USB but I didn't verify if they work on Mac or not.
