Cons: -One of the HDMI ports is very close to the edge of the card and may get blocked on some PC cases' expansion slots. Should've used a mini-hdmi or something.-Expensive-Poor documentation (especially on the HDMI functionality)-PowerDVD is not included (needed to stream DD TrueHD or DTS-MA from Bluray)

Pros: -HDMI connection-Excellent sound quality-No daughter card needed (7.1 analogue out via dongle)-Creative X-Fi 20K2 processor
Comment:
This card isn't as appealing as it used to be. The newer video cards can now bitstream Dolby TrueHD and DTS-MA through the HDMI connection (it could only do 7.1 PCM before) so there's no need to buy this card if that's all you wanted to do.But the HDMI connection is still useful for HTPC setups because you can route all the PC audio through the HDMI cable without maintaining another toslink or coaxial cable.Overall it's a great sound card for games, movies and music.

Cons: -Picks up video card frequencies under stress

Pros: -Dedicated Headphone AMP-All the bells and whistles any sound card should have (Connectivity, XRAM, DTS etc etc)-Crisp clean sound
Comment:
I've been using this card for roughly 2 months now, its been providing very crisp and clean sound compared to my Xtremegamer. Currently using it with my Z-5500 and I am very pleased with it. the quality you pay for is definitely delivered. The only issue I have had with this card that was not fixed by a driver update(nor can it be) is that this card picks up frequencies from a video card under stress. So in other words when running a high end card and putting a lot of stress under it(significantly less frequent with low end or less stressful circumstances)the frequencies from the video card's stress will go and play through the sound card creating distortion while playing any type of audio. However this can be fixed using a plastic screw or securing the card using quick release case clips(or whatever non metal related solution you can think of) as they seem to travel through the case.I'm only giving this 4 stars(though almost want to give it three) because from a quick Google search this is a known issue and has happened with previous models as well.

Cons: nothing

Pros: -sound quality-software that comes with it is awesome and easy to use-compatible with DolbyTRUEHD and DTS-HD
Comment:
i purchased this card to watch movies in bluray on my computer with full hd sound with no downsampling. It works great! For those of you who thinks you are going to get Dolby TrueHD and the DTS-HD in a regular 5.1 speaker you are wrong. It requires you to use a hometheater receiver compatible with dolbytrueHD and DTS-HD and hdmi cables. Apart from that it also delivers you amazing sound quality in games and music through a regular 2/2.1, 4.1, 5.1 or 7.1 speakers.I recommend this card if you want to use it most to watch bluray. Because if you are planning on just playing games or listening to music there are many other cheaper solutions.

Cons: No full version of Power DVD, only a 10% discount voucher. Price.

Pros: Great sound, HDMI in/output, you can connect it to the X-Fi I/O drive, good control panel, just loving this card
Comment:
I had tested several soundcards throughout the past 1-2 years and am a complete home entertainment nut, and wasn't happy with the ones I had including several Soundblaster and other Auzentech cards. My choice was between the Asus Xonar Deluxe and this one, but I went with this one cause it natively supported EAX 5.0, and I don't regret it. The sound is extremely good, no driver issues as some others claim on other sites. Running W7 64bit.

Cons: - Creative Labs drivers (last updated in 2010 but based on an older Creative Labs driver)- Price

Pros: - Great sound quality- Good components- All cables are included- PCI-e
Comment:
Great hardware, letdown by the Creative labs drivers (have a look at Creative Labs and Auzentech forums to get an idea). Still works well in most cases, but long term support could become a factor if you plan to use the card for a long time.

Cons: The video processing is OK only.

Pros: Excellent build quality (I wish all equipment was built like this), audio is superb. Cables are included.
Comment:
If you are looking for a great sound card this is it. I bought it to get around that stupid HDCP protected video path and sound processing. I have it hooked up to a Bryston powered surround system with the JMLABs Electra Be 2 series 5.1 speakers. It does the audio perfectly. The video I would call average. My Oppo Bluray blows it away but Oppo beats everything in the market. I previously had the Auzentech 7.1 Prelude and this is a nice upgrade. If I rated it on sound only it would get a 5. I suppose that if they put in a highend video decoder like the Anchor Bay ABT2010 it would probably drive the price through the roof. All in all very well done.

Cons: - no LED light that indicates the inputs/outputs- not free ( damnit, NCIX !! )

Pros: - Sound quality- Clean and smooth sound- Tweakable potential- The look of the card- TrueHD- requires no additioal power- fits PCI Express (x1, x4, x8 or x16) slot- very good boxing- great driver support without any issues
Comment:
- Upgraded from AuzenTech X-PLOSION which was already an awesome card !! but you can still hear more detail using X-FI Hometheater, and the music is so clean and clear. I want to get a set of BOSE 5.1 to release this card's full potential ...... - I connected this card with Sony receiver (STRDN1000) and the sound is simply AMAZING !!!! The sound could be better with trueHD - which I might try that later.
