Cons: Uneasy to install. Length might not be suitable for smaller case. My corsair 350D window is pushed tight against the top metal plate. push pull setup is not available for this guy. high profile memory will interfere with the fan, but can be adjusted.
Pros: OCed my 3570k easily to 4.3 under 1.25V. Large and very quiet Fan. Looks very nice with a window case. Air cool, no noise! Keep my cpu around 35C at idle, 75-80C at full load. Comment:
I bought this to replace antec 920, which is supposed to be able to handle heavier OC, however can be very loud. Be Quiet! has come up with a solution for good OC without compromise the noise level around your workstation. I high recommend this to anyone who demand silent workstation with decent amount of OC performance. Matx case is not recommended to its height. |
Ok I purchased this Be Quiet! Dark Rock 2 Silentwings CPU Coolerbecause My H40 was making to much noise from the pump.Plus my H40 wouldn't give me decent temps with my OC.So I saw this cooler on sale and decided to take a chance.I'm running a AMD 1055 with a Asus M4 board 32Gb patriot ramin a Zalman Z9 plus Mid case OC'd to a mild 3.9Ghz. My temps with the H40 were 35c idle and high 60's gaming Sniper Ghost warrior 2.With the BQ Dark rock 2 my temps are now 27c idle and 52c is the highest temp so far.This cooler is quiet! I have to keep looking at the fan to make sure its working. Also the unit is very tall. make sure you have room. In my Zalman Z9 plus case there's only about 1/8th of an inch clearance from the clear side panel.Clearance for Ram is a bit tight also!For the price I paid....I love it!
