Size, value, characteristics. BIOS version does not assistance newer "compatible" CPU's. Constructed a technique with this board and an Intel E5500 CPU 4 months ago, worked great. From that knowledge I purchased 6 more only with Intel E7500 CPU's. Turns out the board desires a BIOS upgrade to help the CPU. Problem is, you can't update the BIOS if you can't get the program to POST. Had to take away the E5500 from the very first system, set up it in the new technique, update the BIOS, rinse and repeat. The board ships with 0011, Intel at the moment has version 0117 obtainable for download, and don't even get me started on the procedure to update the bios. Hoping this performs otherwise I'm shipping back six CPU's and/or motherboards to Newegg. |

Operates as expected, this board is very (very) tiny. The board uses DDR3 memory, which is attractive and unusual for a 775 PIN MOBO. The small size. Expansion is not an solution WYSIWYG! Only in service Ƒ) month, purchased ƒ). Hoping for traditional Intel excellent, their standard boards are rock solid. Time will tell. |

Tiny form element. Nice board layout. Effortless to install Be Aware. The DVI connector is a DVI-D female. You'll require a digital to analog converter to make this operate in VGA dual display set-up. Now I'm stuck obtaining a PCI video card to make my VGA dual display operate. |

Exact same as ahead of. BIOS problem. FYI - Flashing the bios to the most recent release ) did resolve the situation and allow the method to boot with the newer CPU. I wish Intel would have had some sort of contingency in play so all of this added function could have been avoided, but I guess we can't manage how extended a thing sits on a shelf prior to its bought! |

Nice little mini-ITX motherboard. Utilizes DDR3. PCI slot for my Buffalo wireless card. None, if you realize that this is meant for a lower-finish system, hence the lacking BIOS possibilities. Built a system with an old E8400, 2 x two GB GSkill DDR3 and IN WIN IW-BP655.300TBL mini-ITX case. Good little computer for common use. |

Good motherboard, decent layout. PCI slot is more useful than an x1 at this point...but that will change. Only three SATA ports; getting an external SATA port would be a good addition. I ordered this in a hurry and wasn't paying attention...THIS BOARD Uses DDR3 RAM! If you're searching for the similar board employing DDR2 (which is much more the norm with the S775 platform), get this one -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121381 -- it looks to be basically the very same, but utilizes DDR2. |
Good compact footprint. Has the basics onboard. The BIOS challenge... Even a E5800 would not perform on this board without a BIOS update. It will boot, but Windows installation will fail with a blue screen. For some purpose only the BIOS recovery update worked. No other strategies did. But you can do this BIOS update even with the E5800, even although it won't boot to Windows. E5500 processor on the other hand worked fine.After the update even E5800 worked fine.
