Thinking that an external drive would be more convenient, Asus name assured quality, and Cyberlink software (which I use successfully on another computer)was a bonus; I was confident about this purchase. WRONG!! I could not believe how slow writing was on all 3 computers I tried it on. The software informs me that an update is required when trying to play some blu-rays and when I click OK it continually loops - saying NO is no better. No help comes from either Asus or Cyberlink. Avoid this like the plague and get a LG internal instead.
