Cons: 800FSB

Pros: StableStay cool (I use a cpu cooler)
Comment:
This CPU is doing a great job but I will probably get the E8400, after one year, it's still fast and I don't have bad experience with this processor. For the price, I would definetly consider buying a E8400 instead of this, but for a mid-range budget computer, the e4500 still remain a good choice.

Purchased for a cheap build along with a mATX motherboard. this processor was a huge upgrade, noticeable speed increase and ability to run programs with ease.

Cons: Smaller cache

Pros: Runs fairly coolOver clocks quite wellStable
Comment:
Bought this for a semi-budget build for mid-range gaming. I had this overclocked to 2.6 - could probably go higher but dont't want to push things until I get some better / more cooling. The only down side I know of is wish it had a bigger cache for a dual core. Alot of reviewers complain about it not being a quad, but thats their own fault for buying a Dual Core (says right in the title: Dual Core Processor LGA775 - seems like a no brainer to me).

Cons: - None that I can think of

Pros: - Fast enough for budget gaming system even at stock speeds - Runs cool, even with stock Heatsink
Comment:
Moved to this CPU from a AMD x2 4800+ (overclocked to 2.7Ghz) and overall the C2D is snappier, even though it is slower in terms of clock speed. I was expecting that to be the case since my notebook with a 2.16Ghz C2D was faster. Another nice feature is that the stock cooler keeps the CPU nice and cool, around 25C idle (in Sonata III case) and the max temps I've seen are in the low 40s. Not currently planning on overclocking since its fast enough already for my needs, but its nice to know I can down the road if I want to.

A great value for those looking for a fast duel core CPU that has huge over clocking potential, runs cool and is rock solid stable. This is a must buy for gamers on a budget.

I bought this as a cheap chip til the E8400's are in stock. I am not disappointed. Have it running 3.4, can get it to 3.6 but temps hit 60 and more load, which is too hot for me. FSB, i took it to 450. Great little chip.

Just bought this for a build for my brother, He is very pleased with it. I didn't overclock it, as the motherboard i got doesn't allow it, but both cores run at under 20C and the cpu fan that comes with it is very quiet. I'd recommend this processor for a budget office, medium gaming computer

Cons: Not as fast or as much cache as faster processors for slightly more money.

Pros: Great Price Point, perfect for upgrading older processors that can still support C2D processors, Highly Overclockable, Low Heat
Comment:
This is a perfect standard processor to buy these days and blows most AMD processors out of the word in terms of overclockability and it's heat dissipation rate. You will not be disappointed by this processor.

Cons: No virtualization technologies, if you're looking for a chip with it.

Pros: Easy to overclock
Comment:
I managed to overclock mine to 3.0GHz with stock cooling, which is not bad at all. I only upped the voltage to 1.32V. Very cheap chip for the performance.

Cons: - None yet

Pros: - Price- Performance- Temperature
Comment:
I upgraded from a P4 2,4GHz to this and the performance gain is awesome. It runs cool (~28-30°C with the original thermal pad) and the stock cooler is quiet enough for me. Don't panic if the fan don't spin when you power the system on, it's waiting for the CPU to be hot enough.

Cons: Compared to the more recent Wolfdale processors, the cache size and FSB speed may not seem up to date.

Pros: Overclocker's paradise.
Comment:
This CPU overclocks like a beast. Not only is it cheap as dirt, with a proper heatsink, the right knowledge, and a little bit of a time, it can compete against today's more high-end dual-core processors, such as the E-6XXX series. Recommended to anyone who doesn't have much to spend on a system, but wants stellar performance.

Cons: Push-pin design of the HSF can be a pain in the ass.

Pros: Great little overclocker, even with the stock HSF. It's a C2D on the cheap.
Comment:
This is actually the first CPU I've ever overclocked, and it's been painless. Stable at 3.0GHZ using the stock cooler /w AS5 and a Centurion 5 case. Great CPU to get if you plan to overclock to e6XXX levels while saving a bit of cash.

Cons: None

Pros: Good speed, very good price, OCs fairly well.
Comment:
Although a little bit of a weak overclocker compared to the E6XX0-series, it is a screaming bargain for a decnt C2D processor. Built two systems in the last 6 months with these chips, and the customers are very happy with the results.

Pros: good overclocker at a great price
Comment:
I overclocked this chip to 3.2GHz stable with a Scythe Ninja B heatsink, but the temps were slightly too high for my tastes so I backed down to 2.89GHz. This CPU is a perfect buy for someone on a budget, as it's incredibly easy to overclock and there's quite a potential performance boost from the stock speed when you overclock. Definitely recommended

Cons: -A weaker cpu by todays standards

Pros: -Great intro cpu for budget/oc builds-OC is great, can be OC'd on stock, or oc'd on non-stock up to 3 Ghz-Stock fan is dead quiet
Comment:
This is another great bargin bin piece for the cheaply inclined to get their grubby hands on. It's a low end dual core, but the speed increases that people will see on this compared to a an older single core model cpu will be astonding, especially on boots and multitasking items. Also, for those who have the knowledge, OC'ing this cpu can save you 30-60 dollars, as this cpu can very easily overtake the speeds of the 6000 series.
