Quite rapidly, even at stock speeds. I currently have it overclocked to 4.5GHz with just aircooling, with zero issues. Hugely suggested if you're hunting for a six-core CPU and have the $$$. Like everyone else mentioned: Price! It's a steep price, but nicely worth it. |

6 core, AND it's faster alternatively of what the 980x did from the 975 undertaking only 6 core but same base speed. I adore this processor!!! Possibly the last LGA 1366 extreme processor. For these of you waiting for the LGA 2011 i would wait just a little whilst longer, as they are said to be coming out in Q3 2011. |

Incredibly rapidly. Extremely costly. I cried as I hit the "finalize order" button, but soon right after installing it (please manage as if you're installing a thousand dollar CPU in your pc... simply because you are...), I had that "red-headed stepchild who had just been given his first wrist-rocket, along with orders to go have fun and be back by dinnertime" sort of feeling.It is worth the steep price, if you need/demand/are a sucker for high-efficiency, application-crushing, game-winning, get-the-girl-despite-getting-the-largest-computer-nerd-this-side-of-the-internet POWER. Seriously though, most people could "manage" with any other contemporary, six-core Intel/AMD-based CPU... but if you want a MONSTER, this is it. |

You can't go incorrect with this processor. I nearly bought the 980X a handful of weeks ago but then this one particular dropped by fifty bucks to the similar cost so I bought it rather. Mounted to an Asus Rampage III Intense. Catch me if you can! It comes with a truly great CPU cooler; was surprised at the size and efficiency of it. I don't assume I'll need to have to get a third party fan. The CPU came with two little packets of thermal paste, but I utilized Arctic Silver five instead. I can't think of any. What's not to like about this beast? The cost is in all probability out of attain for most, but it'll slowly drop over time. If you're thinking about this chip and have the means, purchase it. You're crazy if you don't. |

Impressive specifications I received a defective CPU, unfortunately. Suspect a bad memory controller on the CPU die. Witnessed frequent blue screens in Windows when booting, operating Windows Experience Index, and Prime 95. Asus P6T WS Pro motherboard with supported 1205 BIOS posts successfully with correct CPU specs. Reset BIOS to factory settings was not prosperous. I will re-evaluation when I acquire replacement from Newegg. |
