Runs cool. I haven't run any real stress tests but with WoW as my benchmark I haven't caught the OEM heat sink/fan let temps get more than 50°c. As far as gaming is concerned this processor is incredibly capable. I'm sorry I don't have a superior way to quantify its overall performance, but it has played every thing I've attempted remarkably effectively. I've attempted WoW, Batman AA, Battlefield BC2 and GTAIV. The only distinction I saw between this box and my i7-920 rig was with WoW and it was less than a 10FPS difference and only in really, extremely densely populated regions. None at this time.
