Bought for an HTPC - might be overkill but it's definitely worth the money and I can always swap it for a cheaper one down the road.It's definitely a very fast CPU for the price though, and extremely efficient - it's too bad NCIX doesn't carry the 'U' version which would be even better in that aspect.Overall, very satisfied with this CPU. |

Cons: - The CPU Stock fan is the noisiest thing in my build. Most of the time I can slow it down as I rarely get the CPU hot as a Media Center.
Pros: - Used for a Media Center PC build - and it's more than adequate- 4400 graphics are actually quite good for even low level gaming- Currently the same price as the 3225 so a no brainer on that side. This processor wins.- Haswell Chipset Comment:
This is perfect for my purpose. I totally recommend it for a Media Center or other similar applicationsI could have gone for an AMD chip for a lower cost solution but I liked the Intel Quick Sync video transcoding solution. |
Very capable CPU for the money. As a fourth generation Core processor it is very fast and perfect for a HTPC or as in my case a home server. Probably overkill actually as it is fully capable of running most games well. I have had great performance and durability with all the Intel processors I have owned and expect the same with this one.
