Looks good. All the plugs match in the right holes... No fantastic. Do oneself a favor, devote an further 20 bucks and get a better unit. Take all the advice here and go somewhere else. Unless you're replacing an old unit in an old system, this just doesn't cut the mustard.

It's a low cost solution for an older/budget computer system. The energy provide blew inside the initial two days of utilizing it. You get what you spend for.

unknown Well I've hooked up several a power supplies and this 1 must have been a dud as very first it truly is loud and it kicks out a *lot* of heat...enough where the steel case was hot to the touch. Properly right after about 1.5 hours of use the fuse blew and immediately after a re-solder it refuses to perform... I suggest seeking for a fan that is Active and has a 120mm fan. Manufacturer Response:Hello,If a power supply emits as well substantially heat then it is utilizing its max load or even above its load. Given that you have soldered or have opened the unit; it currently voids the warranty on this unit. Please let us know if you have additional inquries or issues by means of e-mail: tech@coolmaxusa.comRegards,CoolMax Help

Wonderful, constant energy; specially for the cost. Only a single SATA energy connector. Giving currently's standards on peripherals, this would be an even superior solution if they included 4 Ɣ) SATA and ƒ) four-pin molex as an alternative.

Nice and shiny! Cool hunting braided power cable to make it appear neat. Dead on arrival. Its light weight, flimsy, and the external s(c)rewed on plug connector won't let the energy supply fit into my case. ( typical tower ) I tried plugging it all up in the case anyway to see if it would operate and it blipped power for a half a second then shut off and that is all it would do more than and over. As soon as it came on by itself when I left the energy switch on for a min. It ran for about 5 seconds and then shut off again, running 1 cd player, the led energy cpu light, and the power provide fan, but nothing else. ( no other fans i.e. cpu fan or case fans, floppy, or really hard drive. )I'm operating a e mail checker pc. It has 2 cd-rom drives, a floppy, and a tough drive. The old PSU was a little 250 watt but it burnt out. Certainly a 400 watt energy provide could energy this small no-need to have machine. But it acts like its becoming overloaded and just shuts suitable off.

Dirt low cost and legendary Newegg delivery. It's shiny. It died right after about three months. The moment you pull it out of the box you know you're in for a pretty "iffy" expertise: it weighs far significantly less than any other energy provide I've ever handled (it even weighs much less than your common Shuttle energy supply!). The tangle of affordable Molex connectors screams "AT circa 1995!" But, I was placing it into my daughter's machine which only sees light duty, so I figured I may well get fortunate. My luck ran out about 90 days into issues. If it had kept on running, and I'm certain quite a few of these do, I'd be thrilled at the value. Thinking about the brief life span of my unique piece, I'd have to say I personally came up "snake eyes". Manufacturer Response:Hello,Please contact 2support@coolmaxusa.com for further support. My property has issues of power outages for about a handful of instances a year. So dying power supply has been a difficulty for me. This energy supply is inexpensive, however brings plenty to the table. I overclocked my AMD 64 from two.2Ghz to 2.5Ghz, and my 8800GT is oc'd to 700Mhz, the program under no circumstances miss a beat below any type of tension test. This PS does not have SATA connector. Not truly a con for this kind of price. I wouldn't load a lot more than two harddrives or two videocards or two dvd/cd burners onto it.

Installed and it operates. What a lot more can I say? None so far. I only installed it yesterday. For those of you commenting on the 24ተ pin connector, the four-pin extension is removable so there is certainly no challenge fitting onto the 20-pin header on the motherboard.

It seems to be trustworthy and the voltage levels seem to be excellent. It has a three position switch for fan speed. Higher, low and auto. It's not THAT quiet. It's billed as a quiet PSU. It's better than most worse than other folks. I purchased an additional right after buying this one. It seems to match the bill for my needs and that's in all probability the finest that I can say about something.

Outstanding PSU. I use these to replace failed or failing eMachines PSUs in my refurb units. Also have employed in new builds. Three bought so far, and I see no reason not to come back. All machines (even a gaming rig) running for three+ months, 24ǝ, no difficulty. None. Am I fortunate or does everyone else just rub theirs on the carpet to get the dust off before installing? With as quite a few people's failing, odds are, at least one of mine failed.

Fairly...? When i start off i cant cease but here we go. It barely gave enough energy to turn the cpu fan. The exaust (rear fan) mearely Twitched. Definitely a dead power supply. A Curious "clicking" in side of it as nicely. Had to run a slightly older supply to be confident (older provide worked), New 1 does not. Want i had read the reviews on this internet site. I would not have bought it. I could by no means acquire COOLMAX once again. Ought to have been shopping with "The EGG." One more con would be that the, Major CLIP did not wanna fit very easily on my MSI K9N2GM (HDMI). Universal connection MY FOOT. What seriously gripes me is this isnt for me, its for my brother. Maybe i'll go antec next time. Or go with the "will of the Rose" LOL.
