worked wonderful given that my energy provide cable was to quick to attain the hardrive. cheap portion and does the job. immediately after 7 months was replacing a aspect in the computer, and the connector fell aprt. that is why it lost a couple stars. would still reccomend it to any person needing a extension.

Works as intended. It's a Ŭ element, you're not acquiring Monster Cable high quality right here (and I'm positive they'd sell it for โ if they made this piece). I bought this for the lone reason of extending a single of my four-pin energy plugs from my PSU, so it would attain the new video card. I didn't even will need the "split" - but I couldn't discover just an "extender" cable.

This thing splits 1 Molex connection into TWO! It's remarkable. I know that cable connections have splitters and phone lines but to have a thing inside your computer that can truly make 1 thing into two, it's ridiculously ahead of its time!lol, no. On a serious side, it performs. It is a Y splitter and I received it rapidly due to Newegg and is just what I required. If you need to have this for something then you just can't go wrong with it. That's seriously about all you can say. The cable isn't covered in mesh? That's the only con I could possibly come up with. It's a Y splitter. =)

adds a added molex to your process quite cheaply produced... the pins pulled out of the sockets if your are careful molex ought to be scrapped in favor of some much better tech

-low-cost in price tag-gets the job done-what else is there? -connections can become loose and pull out...had that come about just before -got a number of of these in a few computers and no problems whatsoever...

Performs nada I do wish they would come up with a better normal for energy supply connections. Molex is the worst. It's not this item's fault, that's why I didn't take off any eggs.

Dose precisely what it was created for. Wouldn't hurt to extend the wires a couple additional inches. So I bought this piece to use in conjunction with LOGISYS AD201 12v Molex to 12V 6Pin Adapter to power my GPU card. The above mentioned component has two 4 pin molex connectors, so I figured I would get a Y adapter to make it operate with only 1 4 pin molex... This was a bad notion, The video card uses alot of power and I have now reconfigured it so that one molex plugs into 1 12v rail and the other molex plugs into a different 12v rail. This peice is now sitting in my collection of cables.

It's a y-splitter. Works as intended. Cheap. What else do you want? It doesn't add ten horsepower. Irony being I don't actually need it since I was able to free up a connector. Great to have it handy just in case, although.

* if you are serious about developing and maintaining low cost servers, which includes servers designed for storage, with hardware RAID arrays, having a bad Molex cable will drive you crazy, simply because it is close to impossible to troubleshoot a RAID difficulty with 1 or far more drives and logically come to the conclusion that it is the energy cable's fault * reasonably high priced, not being supplied by Newegg with volume discounts and shipping price per item nearly equal to its cost, regardless of number of items you order Molex cables are notoriously straightforward to harm. Just a single cable moving back a pin in the connector will make your technique troubleshooting a really "interesting" expertise. You ought to constantly have a few brand new cables (waiting to be used in an emergency) of the following categories:- Molex Y splitters, - SATA II information cables- USB two. cables - yes, they can go bad, too. And troubleshooting is comparatively easy - you get "USB device is not recognized" message from Windows.Molex cables are the single worst developed regular in the PC history. They are the most tough to mount/unmount connector inside the PC, and one that will generally hurt your hands.I've been creating PC desktops, workstations, and servers given that 1995. I know my stuff nicely.
