I appreciate this mouse.. The weight tends to make making use of it feel like I'm entirely in handle of my laptop. I adore the concept of customization - a thumb rest? Genius. For 75 bucks, I'm not disappointed. The only cons are that I don't currently have a use for all the macros you can assign to this beast. It's like a keyboard assigned to your right hand.

I didn't consider I would spend the time to create a assessment about a mouse but here I am. I own four Logitech G9x mice and I appreciate them but all of them have a short in the cord at the base of the mouse. I bought the RAT and won't appear back. Much less income, crazy awesome capabilities. Every single time someone sees it they do a double take. Then I proceed to sell them on it. I require a commission at this point! The software profiler is a tiny straightforward.. Want there were some pre-defined game profiles integrated. The thumb scroll is cool but haven't found a use for it yet...

Solid make construction. I got sick of having a mouse that had nice capabilities, but wouldn't provide a crucial key element that just about every item you purchase... solid construct high quality! Several mice i have had more than the years rapidly degraded more than a quick period of time. I quickly had the impression that this mouse would absolutely final a extended extended time! Excellent job Saitek!!! This mouse is a bit on the wide side... and its also one of the flat-est mice i have ever utilised. Its a bit odd feeling at very first but like other individuals have mentioned you get utilized to it and it grows on you. Want the thumb adjustment would move considerably farther forward... i like to have my web page forward and web page back buttons faster forward so that i don't have to have my thumb as substantially during FPS games!Other than these remarks i have nothing majorly undesirable to say about the R.A.T. 7 Haven't been much of a Saitek fan more than the years, but if they hold making solid items like this mouse, then they have my vote! If you want to acquire a mouse that is constructed to withstand lots of abuse, and still supply lots of important features, then appear no further. This mouse is certainly worth each penny!Believe i may well purchase the wireless version in January!Maintain up the great function Saitek!

It's customizability is great. It has very good weight, and imo appears really sturdy. After a couple of weeks, the mouse cursor now hangs in numerous various parts of the screen. I have updated all the drivers, and i have tried many unique surfaces, and mouse pads, all with the same result. The only factor that assists is unplugging the mouse, and plugging it back in. Right after reviewing other comments, it appears like windows 7 64bit is obtaining the most issues, and it truly disappoints me that such an great mouse is useless mainly because it doesn't do the job it's supposed to do.

This was the very best fitting mouse I've ever owned. It match excellent, had very good custom adjustments, like weight. I loved it. Under no circumstances did uncover a gaming surface/mouse pad that is compatible. Even a Cyborg brand mat didn't track smoothly. Saitek/MadCatz customer service weren't a lot enable. Decided to use on my laminate desktop. Was working excellent without having a gaming surface/mouse pad till one of the buttons randomly stopped functioning. Now right after pressing a single of the buttons, the mouse disappears from Windows for a 1-two seconds. Not as well much of a challenge unless you're gaming. That's what I purchased the mouse for. Bought in Sept 2010. Paperweight by Apr 2011. Buyer beware, or, does any person want a used RAT7?

Looks very good and is comfy Laser quit functioning 5 minutes immediately after I got it. Named the tech help to get RMA number and was on the line for an hour before an individual picked up. Had to contact back since the never ever sent me the RMA number. So I was on hold for 40 minutes this time and lastly got my number. Been three weeks so far and no mouse however. Service sucks...

This is an amazing mouse. You pay a tiny for it, but the customization it has is unbelievable. I truly really like the "sniper" button, it really aids in producing split-second decisions in FPS games Had a tiny bit of difficulty with receiving the application to work, feasible due to the fact I am using Vista. Let Microsoft Update download it and it worked perfectly

Good feel, love the customizations, adore the aim assist ( have actually been accused of hacking since of it) and i adore the further attachments. Thumb Scroll? have not found a single use for this. For these getting tracking concerns attempt the Cyborg dual sided aluminum mouse pad (best for this mouse) I have not had a single tracking situation since. My only challenge is if even just a tiny bit of dust/anything get's on the mouse pad it throws the mouse off. These tiny glide pads are Incredibly sensative so make positive you preserve the surface Extremely clean. Other than that I absolutley appreciate this mouse. My Black Ops Kill/Death ration has jumped by leaps and bounds. The ideal advise I could give is to use this with a G-35 headset and a pair of Gunnars and your prepared to slay!

Great feel, customizable to any hand, aluminum frame buildingCertainly purchase this more than the RAT three or 5... it's worth the extra dollars. This thing can take a beating.I didn't believe I would use the sniper button in game, but I've in fact gotten applied to it. The button layout and positioning is extremely fantastic and ergonomical... I can preserve my hand on this factor for days. Proprietary software program is somewhat confusing, but you get the thought.Side scroll wheel should be automatically set to side scroll within any window.

Quality construction and really feel. Liked the customization of it. Tracking and driver difficulties. I wanted to like this mouse but it was just too frustrating. Half the time it would not initialize when booting up my system and when it did it would drop tracking capacity all the friggin time, and yeah I installed latest driver. Sent it back.

It appears cool The issues started as quickly as I installed the software and the mouse. I run dual 24" monitors and identified that the mouse would jump to the left edge of the 1st monitor 50% of the time I moved the mouse. It turned out to be the black mousepad I was using the RAT 7 was unable to track effectively on it. None of the other mice I have used from bargain bin specials to my existing Mid-variety mouse have ever had a issue with this mousepad. I attempted a various surface and the tracking greatly improved but did not go away fully. I also located that when I would click the left or proper mouse button that the cursor would at times move as if I had moved the mouse. I was unable to right this concern even if I utilized two hands (One to hold the mouse steady and 1 to click the button). I applied the incorporated computer software to adjust DPI sensitivity but I was unable to uncover a setting that worked for me. I attempted a lot of settings but the cursor was either to slow or to jumpy. I really wanted to like this mouse. I bought it due to the fact I commit a lot of time at my computer system and wanted to use the adjustable features to make these sessions more comfortable. It excelled at that but otherwise was unusable to me. It was like owning a seriously good sports automobile with a Yugo engine. I wanted to like it and forced myself to devote 4 days attempting to get the application settings and mousing surface worked out but I was unable to get it to what I would consider even a workable state.I know that numerous internet websites have offered this item good reviews but I recommend that you do a few Google searches for "RAT 7 Tracking difficulties" and "RAT 7 Black Mousepad" for a lot more information on the difficulties some other folks are operating into.

Feels good in your hand when you have it configured. Sufficient options to make it comfy for extended gaming sessions. Extreme DPI sensitivity choices. If you choose a heavy mouse, this is for you! Hand rest(s) are not huge enough for persons with bigger hands. Buttons offer a tiny far more resistance than I would like, but it's absolutely manageable. The button for changing the DPI level is a small stiff and tricky to toggle through through intense action. Soon after reading other critiques about this mouse with it's tracking issues, I opted to get a new mouse pad with the R.A.T. Picked up the Razer Sphex desktop skin. Not a single tracking situation however. Not positive if I'm "one of the lucky one's", or if my investigation paid off. Either way, I am loving this mouse. If you're thinking about acquiring this mouse, I would recommend choosing up a tough, flat mousepad to go with it. I know you shouldn't have to get a new mouse pad to fix an concern with a ๖+ mouse, but it will make the expertise a lot more enjoyable than painful.

It is super fancy, good for lan parties and stuff. it has so numerous customizable characteristics that i havent even figured out them all. Some other reviewers say that this mouse is seriously heavy but i havent noticed significantly of a difference from an old microsoft sidewinder plastic mouse. surely high good quality. None so far, in a couple of months i'l attempt to comment once more if the tracking is lost, as described in preceding evaluations. due to the higher value, i suggest that unless you game for at least 7 or so hours a day, a cheaper mouse will suffice.

Overall an great mouse. got it mainly because my original saitek mouse was becoming a discomfort to click...

-Hugely configurable. If you can see it, you can configure it in some way, shape, or type.-four DPI settings that can be switched on the fly-Profile modes that can be switched on the fly-Performs well on a selection of surfaces (so far I've used it on boxes, magazines, wood tables, and my black gaming mouse pad) -"Sniper Mode" button is in a slightly strange spot, awkward to reach and concentrate on aiming. This isn't actually a con, but neither is it a pro: this thing will in all probability take you a considerable amount of time to customize to your hand and grip style. With all the modifications, separate attachments, weights, and so on. there are quite a few possibilities, but possibly only one particular or two that will feel natural. It took me three weeks and 10 gaming sessions to get it right.

I purchased the mouse specifically for its design. I have bigger hands and was starting to get fatigue from ordinary mice. Immediately after getting this mouse all that went away, it feels organic in my hands (after adjusting things properly) and haven't had any wrist issues given that. Tracking. As a lot of have reported this mouse has tracking concerns. Mine worked fine for about two-3 months, then on the similar surface it just started to shed tracking. It seems that now if the mouse is moved too slow it doesn't pick up the movement and the cursor stays in 1 spot. This is extremely frustrating and haven't been capable to come across a option for it. I've attempted various surfaces, I've tried cleaning the sensor, I've even tried the (not quiet) 6-foot to desk test. I would have expected a mouse in this price tag range to last far more than 2 months.

Appears really appealing (But that's not actually important)Extensive customization (Took me an hour or two to get everything exactly exactly where i wanted it, but feels good now񥝰 dpi and incredibly smoothNice and heavy (But that's a individual preference) Thumb wheel is poorly placed (But i had no intention of utilizing it anyway)Price, yeah, it's costly.I would NOT advise this mouse for a "Claw Grip" gamer. it just won't feel suitable.Application is pretty bad. I'm holding out for an update. For years now i've been attempting to discover a mouse that felt excellent for me. It seems that all the good gaming mice are created for persons with tiny hands or for Claw Grip. I have big hands and am a Palm Grip gamer so this is great for me. It mat be useful to know that i have owned a G5, G19, and a Xai. All good mice, but i think the RAT may possibly be my new preferred. Only time will tell.

Adjustable everything. Really comfortable. Built incredibly poorly. Have had this for about 2 1ǘ months and use it a couple hours a day. About a month ago, the scroll wheel started sticking when I clicked it, now the left mouse button is entirely stuck. I didn't get anything stuck in it or spill anything on it, it just wore out from light use soon after 2 1ǘ months. A warranty doesn't imply significantly when it requires four-6 weeks to get it back. That's half the period the mouse actually functioned correctly for.Stick with a logitech, I've by no means necessary to send one of those back. So far I've attempted a razer and now this a single this year and both have had to be sent back inside months.

-Customizeable (see cons)-Appears good on the desk-Good concept for a mouse-a lot of buttons -Can not get to match in my hand like other gaming mice could-The tracker will drop its x axis, or its y axis on occasion, other times it will spazz out. the building is simply also inexpensive.-the button placement for side buttons is too far back for me, i have to flex my thumb very a bit, my hand is average size. I chose the wired version to avoid tracking problems that ive had in wireless mice. clearly it did not serve these ends and to be truthful im sorely dissapointed.

Stout. Versatile. comfortable. Ubber Cool.I loved the appear and was sold on the alternatives in the advertising and marketing components but that was minimal compared to really having my hand on this issue. Because it is so easy to configure and customize to your hand, this is the most functional and comfortable mouse you will ever own.One-click Resolution mode alterations make it uncomplicated for me to flick between aggressive gaming fixes in involving marathon graphics designing and every thing in between. It is Incredibly precise. I discover myself using sniping mode in Illustrator occasionally as effectively. Some persons have commented that that weight is a negative, but I like it. It feels solid, robust and my movements are precise. I run ALL the adjustable weight in mine and enjoy it that way. Even devoid of the optional weights installed, it is still fairly solid. If you are utilized to low cost, light weight plastic mice, this one WILL fell heavy, but you won't ever go back. The really feel is, nicely... excellent.Enjoy IT!!!! The thumb lander area, while adjustable each in fore to aft relation to the mouse and angle in our out, SLIPS in angle when you are exuberant with the mouse. When I sqeeze down on it often, the angle will slip in and with my bigger hands, it seems to narrow closed against the physique like that.I am about to drop a bit of lock-tite in the adjustment screw to see of that holds the open angle a lot more, but that actually is my only gripe about this mouse.I regarded as going for the Wireless version of the mouse because I had study that the wired 7's cord was way to short... IT IS NOT. I did not measure it but I would say that it is a complete 40 - 48 inches extended. If you can not live with that... effectively, get a wireless. I just don't trust the battery life in a wireless mouse.Anyway, not a true "con" but the woven covered mouse wire appears to be formed of Viagra. It's "stiff" creating it a tiny unsightly and gangly on your desk. I really should contact my medical professional... it's been a lot more than four hours!

The customization and style points. It looks incredibly good. Programming is very easy and effortless. Sometimes it seems like the high quality of the parts is a little weak. For instance, the forward button get in touch with pad have to be broken on mine. Pressing it as well hard appears to "push previous" the activation generating it useless as my push to talk for ventrilo. This is in all probability an isolated case, but the screws and way the thumb rest can be cambered out seems a bit flimsy. The spacing of the left and proper click appears far. I actually wanted to like this mouse. In fact, I loved it initially. As time progressed, I realized I had to conform far more to the mouse than the mouse to me. I have pretty large hands and nonetheless it feels like I'm reaching, and I've really noticed a slight discomfort in my wrist. Could be carpel tunnel but I don't notice it on my mx518. Soon after about two months I switched back to my mx518. I had attempted to use all different customization pieces and the such. All in all, it could be a wonderful mouse for you. Even so, I would suggest discovering a person who has one particular and playing with it for a even though (and by even though I'd say a week or so) prior to buying it. If you match it, then it could be good. Just my .02.
