I read the other reviews, knew what i was getting myself into by removing my motherboard to get the back plate on. And the fan went in like a charm. Can barely hear the fan, I am even surprised by the quality. And it keeps my cpu noce and cool!!! I'm buying anothe rfor my other computer, and will recommend to my IT Department.

A very good cooler. Works great. I have 2 of them, both work good. Just watch out where the cpu fan plug in is located. It can't be real close to the cpu, cause you won't be able to plug it in. Keeps cpu cool.

This cooler is awesome. average temps about 28 idle and 39 under load (C). Actaully, my first one atarted making a terrible grinding noise, think it was off balance -- called zerother directly, not only did they replace the fan, but sent me three! Yea, three replacement fans (not heatsink) and 2 big tubes of thermal paste. Must not that the thermal paste sucks -- used arctic silver. Point is, cooler rocks and zerotherm customer service is sweet. I am now a loyal fan.

Replaced stock Q9550 Heat Sink Fan with this one. With the stock HSF, the cpu temp was at 39-42 degrees Celsius when idling and 66-68 degrees Celsius under 100% load. With ZeroTerm CF900, I am observing 35-37 degrees when idling, and 56-59 degrees under load. It is definitely quieter than the stock HSF. The only problem is that the heat pipes barely have clearance for the RAM modules on Asus P5KPL-VM motherboard. It is actually touching four of my memory chips, but it doesn't seem to be applying any pressure on them. CF900 did not have pre-applied Thermal interface material, however ZeroTherm website suggests that it should have come with pre-applied TIM. This makes me suspect that the item has been previously returned and placed back on the shelf. I have purchased this item from the Markham store.

Be ready to take out the motherboard and put the fastener under the CPU socket. Besides that this basically saved the CPU on my old desktop. The 6 year old stock cooler burnt out three caps I had to solder back in and replace. Was hanging at CPU splash for 10-20. Saved the CPU - Thank you

my stock cooler was so very loud, so i wanted an upgrade. this thing took the temp on my celeron d way down immediately. a great re-vamp item for an older processor. looks amazing in the case. super quiet. has built in fan speed regulation. also, there are bright blue led's on the fan, something that only gets passing mention in the reviews section, but isn't in the product specs at all. i like the lights, but if you don't want them, be aware that this guy lights up pretty bright. all in all a really nice cooler.

This CPU cooler is pretty nice. Its very quiet and lights up blue. It was a pain to put in for me because i had already put the motherboard in and had to remove it to place a piece on the bottom of the motherboard to screw in the cpu cooler. It comes with thermal paste which is nice.

I've used Zerotherm coolers like this on my last three system builds. They are quieter than the case fans and keep my Core2Duo 2.93 Ghz processor very cool. The only thing is that they're HUGE. Make sure that they'll fit in the case and they stay clear of the RAM slots. I have never used a better CPU cooler.

Recomiendo este ventilador, practicamente no se escucha cuando corro los juegos, es muy silencioso, y mantiene el cpu a 32 grados. Es el mejor ventilador de cpu que he tenido y no lo cambio.

Used this heatsink/fan on my Intel E8200 cpu. Rendered a 38 minute AVI [10Gb] to a 2.49Gb DVD [mpg]The process took a total of 22 min. and my CPU temp. never exceeded 31C using Asus Probe to monitor with. Couldn't be happier. You can barely hear the fan running. Keep things cool and quite and does it well. I highly recommend Zerotherm CF900 for your cooling needs.

Seemed to be a quality product. The height dimension of assembly was wrong online and would not fit into my slim case.

It really cannot be heard. The low noise level, however is due to a cut in performance: it keeps my single core Pentium 4 at a 50+ celcius, which is good for me, but I cant help to wonder how this fan will perform on a dual or a quad core?

Installed on a core 2 duo on gigabyte ga-ep43-ud3l mobo. One heat pipe touches the first bank of DDR2 so I can't put anything in the socket. The grease that came with it is no good, get another tube. Seems to cool and keep the core temp at 35C, very quiet and cool with the blue LEDs.
