Cons: The 18 G macro keys aren't at the same level as the rest of the keyboard and that part of the keyboard was made with a hard plastic as opposed to the same steel finish used for the rest of the keyboard.

Pros: Very bright and sharp white lighting, fully mechanical, Cherrry Red keys, feels great, amazing build quality.
Comment:
I owned a first gen Blackwidow and a first gen logitech G15, among other keyboards, and I must say this keyboard is by far the best keyboard I've owned. It feels amazing. I was looking for a white backlit mechanical keyboard with Cherry Red keys and this is the only one of its kind. Fits my needs perfectly. I was originally set out to look for a small keyboard with a significantly smaller footprint, but I was sold when I came across this keyboard. I really wanted something professional looking and somewhat quiet so I could bring it to work. I didn't want strange looking blue or red lights on my keyboard. Just a personal preference though. It's too early to tell, but I think it looks like this keyboard will last me for a long time.

Cons: hope to have more choices to cherry mx keys

Pros: well design, looks sick, cherry mx red
Comment:
replaced my g15 with this. It is a total different feel when typing on it as this is a mechanical keyboard. It is very nice, matt finish with alumninum chassis. The reds are provides fast response, low actuation force at 45 cN , which is perfect for gaming. One of the best mechanical keyboards out there with lots of features on it.

Cons: Mechanical keys are expensive and loud.

Pros: Very nice looking and feeling. scrolling volume control. Sleek aluminum chassis with nice back lighting.

Its a beautiful keyboard! I love the feel of it, don't want or need the G keys, but the G70 seems the palm rest isn't wide enough, the palm rest is a weird soft coating, actually feels quite nice. I prefer the red switches, altho still a bit loud, have ordered some o-rings, just more added expense. I love big lighted keyboards and this fills that function well. Its my first mechanical keyboard, gave has a couple variations of the G15 over the last 10 years, which were quite good keyboards, but this is better felling. I am a casual gamer, do alot of FB and messaging, seems to be great for that. It's a great all around KB! Love the black aluminum chassis. For me I really prefer the red switches, I am a light typer. Its very sturdy and well planted, I have a 48"x22"pull out drawer for my desk, so if you have the room for it, its arguably the best KB out there.

Cons: Very short actuation distance.Wrist rest not padded.

Pros: Feels really good typingConfigurable quick launch keysAdjustable key backlight intensity
Comment:
Just moved over from a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 and decided that after blowing out 3 of them in the last 4-5 years that I would just shell out the extra money for one with mechanical switches in hopes that it will last longer and because I do on occasion need to type in the dark so the backlit keys are a nice addition. I picked up this one because I had some experience typing on its predecessor, the K90, but decided on this version due to all the buttons on the keyboard being mechanical. The typing action feels really good on it, definitely nicer then on the old keyboard that I was using, but there are a couple of issues with it and they are the main reason for the 4 star rating as opposed to the 5 star. The biggest one is the very short actuation distance, you don't need to press the key all of the way down for it to register and as I do have fat fingers it has caused the occasional mis-type, which is very annoying when entering passwords in for anything. The second thing, really something minor and not worth complaining about if it wasn't for issue number one, is the slickness of the keys. There is no texture to them and I have found that my fingers do slip a bit, like I said minor thing but annoying when combined with the short actuation distance and my slightly fat fingers. In terms of comfort, this is one area where I think I will definitely miss the old Microsoft keyboard that I had, as annoying as it was to have to replace the things so often they were seriously comfortable to type on. My main issue with this one is the lack of a padded wrist rest, It boggles my mind that the designers at Corsair who built this for hardcore PC gamers think that a piece of hard plastic with a rubberized coating on it is the most comfortable wrist rest on the market, especially given the cost of the keyboard. While I don't expect them to make a fully ergonomic model, though that would be really nice, looking into a padded wrist wrest is something that I really think they should do.In terms of keyboard extras, it does have a few above and beyond what are on a stripped down basic keyboard. It has your standard multimedia buttons, play, pause, stop, next, previous and volume control, I don't really have need for those so I haven't really tested them out at all.The keys on the board are fully backlit with white LEDs and have 4 intensity settings (low, medium, high, off) which can be changed on the fly on the keyboard itself or in Corsairs configuration software. It does also give you the option to either light up the full keyboard or just a few select  keys, which are determined by which of the 3 'M' profiles you are in.There are 18 Macro keys built onto the keyboard, though I have only really used them as quick launch buttons for a few programs. As I mentioned with the backlighting there are 3 discreet 'M' profiles for the keyboard giving you access to 54 different actions that can be mapped to the keyboard and as with the backlight intensity you can jump between all 3 on the fly.Overall this keyboard has been worth the price to me, with a few minor issues, it is probably the best keyboard I have owned and is one that I would recommend people at leas take a look at if they are looking for a mechanical gaming keyboard.
