Cons: - Fairly big, its a 17" cube, and about 60 pounds.- After being in Standby overnight or a long period of time, it takes up to 40 - 50 seconds to 'Warm Up'/'Adjust' itself before printing.
Pros: - Great Color- One Pass Print Engine for both Black and Color- Built In Automatic Duplexing- Large Paper Tray Capacity with the option of adding a second paper tray, Very Sturdy and Well Built- Extremely Quiet in my opinion even while loading the paper and printing. (Compared to my ML-2510 which makes a racket while feeding/loading paper) Comment:
Finally decided to get a Color Laser Printer after owning a Black and White Samsung ML-2510 (I think that's the model) for about a year and a half.Heard some good things about the CLP-600, and read some good stuff about the 610ND, so I decided to dive in and grab it while on sale.The only downside is the long wait when printing something after it being in standby for a long while. It has to warm up, and does some sort of Adjusting which takes 40 - 50 seconds.Overall I'm very pleased with the output quality so far of the Samsung CLP-610ND. Even printing full-color pictures comes out well. No banding or fading with the toner, very consistent color output. Looks like a picture you might see in a magazine. I bought this to replace a 3 year old Konicaminolta 2400W. Rather buy toner for the old printer I bought this looking for an upgrade. BIG MISTAKE! The color graphics especially photo printing is no where near as good as the Konicaminolta 2400W! I had used the 2400W for two years doing regular printing work and then 8 months of printing close to 100 color certificates a month. 5 weeks and this Samsung is out of toner doing exactly the same type and amount of work and giving paper jam errors when there is non! The 2400W had smaller capacity cartridges than the Samsung but printed exponentially more pages! The 2400W printed 3 times as many certificates after the toner indicators were flashing low toner levels than the Samsung did with new fresh cartridges!! The 2400W printed almost as much after the toners indicated empty than this Samsung brand new!!NOT impressed! I won't be buying toner for this printer with shipping $450. boat anchor!
