Cons: A little slow in printing, only 150 sheets per tray. Toner a little expensive.

Cons: Its cheaply made; supplies only last about 500 pages and are expensive to replace; image prints are horrible with lots of off colours. Air print often needs to be reset.

Probably the worst printer I've had the displeasure of using. 1 out of 10 rating at best. It was cheap, and replaced another Samsung printer that died after 13 months. Therein was the problem! Should have gone with another manufacturer!It prints text fast, but images have all sorts of wierd colours. And the Air Print mode is so flakey, I finally just wired the printer to the network, as the air print mode has to be reset constantly! I've had the printer 4 months, and have had to replace all toners and the waste drum already. Total pages printed could not be more than 500 pages ( two reams of paper ), so that tells me that this printer will suck your money on toners. Next worry is all the other "components" that will wear out and cost hundreds of dollars to replace (belt unit, imaging drum, etc). My previous Samsung printer died because the image drum went, and when it got serviced, the main board on the system "mysteriously" got replaced by Samsung as well, and that printer no longer prints colour (only black and white). No one at Samsung can explain this anomaly. Probably the worst printer company. This is the last Samsung I'll ever own. |
I have had this printer for over 2 months now and so far I have had no issues with it. It is connected via USB to my desktop PC as well as via wifi to 2 other PCs, a windows laptop, a Macbook and my iPad and iPhone with no network problems. Print quality in both B&W and color are very good. I only use it for home use so I don't mind the slow print times or the limited print tray capacity. All in all, I am very happy with it. I gave it 4/5 only because of the toner price.
