Cons: not much to complain about with this supply, but if I had to find something (and I'm really nitpicking here) the unit is heavy, may not fit in a smaller case, and can be pricey, but not overly so.
Pros: Corsair quality power supply, cool and quiet operation, geat amount of power, improved efficiency over the 1000w predecessor, modular, packaging and build quality is superior to many supplies, 7 year warranty! Comment:
I was forced to purchase a new psu after my 4 year old PC Power and Cooling 750w blew up a few nights ago. After looking for various supplies from various brands and prices I decided to spend the extra and grab this unit. So far I have no complaints as its running nice and cool in a new 600t case powering a 2600k s 4.6 and 2x 6870 oced. The build quality of this product is very very good. Its built like a tank, looks great and has all the connectors you would ever need. Add to this a whopping 7 year warranty (2 years longer than most psus out there) and you have a very solid working product. Reviews of this unit are mostly excellent and its easy to see why. Its not rated at Gold 80, but rather silver.. doesn't bother me none though.Very highly recommended!! If you can get it for a deal its a very good choice. |

Bought this PSU because I was going to run 2 GTX 580 in SLI, I need the power it provides. I know it's not Gold or Platinum but it does the job pretty well. |

Just a power supply. It's semi-modular design is nice, but it would've been great to have it fully modular like some of its AX counterparts.
