Quite quiet, strong continuous power output, excellent materials, feels solid. Even desirable with branded decals to add a level of polish. Good huge exhaust fan for cooling. Only 1 energy leg with 4-rail connectors, possibly generating it a poor choice for systems with older hardware that use these connectors, but that doesn't impact most new builds.

Cost is excellent. 500w is enough for my technique. My old 480w PSU was broken after 20 months. I won't use these low-cost brand PSU any longer. None so far. My next PSU may well be 750w.

Greatest power provide I've ever owned. Weighs far more than the Antec case it went in (well virtually). As silent as the case it went in. Got it on a Newegg deal and a MIR. Deserving of awards. Can't think of any.

None, ended up not making use of this power provide. Makes annoying continuous buzzing noise when in S-3 standby mode. Sooo poor I ended up pulling the power provide and utilized a various one particular. Corsair seriously cheapened up on their builder-series energy supplies. Believed I would give them a attempt and really dissatisfied. Manufacturer Response:It's possible that you basically had a defective unit. If you nonetheless have the unit, please permit us to replace it. We apologize for any inconvenience.External Hyperlink(s): Corair RMA Hyperlink|

Absolutely nothing that I can consider of. A organization that has such a great name when it comes to power supplies need to have have wonderful high quality manage more than their item . A energy supply that goes terrible , can take a lot of issues with it.Its really surprising to me and tends to make me lose confidence in them.I have seen many complaints on their builder series. I am asking for a replacement alternatively of refund hoping that their previous record of making excellent power supplies will ending operating out for me. If it goes negative once more I believe that's it for me for either power supplies or memory from them.

Looks great. This isn't the only Corsair I've utilised for a build. Appear carefully guys. This PS has only one fan - 120mm. The problem is my ten year old aluminum case calls for the fan to be on top, up against the best of the case resulting in tremendously lowered air circulation creating this Corsair PS unusable with no modifications. I am shipping this box overseas which is the explanation I've selected aluminum. Yes, I know I can mount the PS upside down, but that indicates drilling holes into a PS I've owned for much less than two days.My answer: use a various PSNewegg is the only location I purchase parts. Greatest rates and very best service.

Excellent PSU, worked so properly my Pc sped up.Incredibly quiet and cool.Great cabling, and supports all the connectors I needed. None. This is my initially Corsair PSU and I have to say I'm very impressed. I had an OCZ 650 Watt before this that died, and moved onto this 500 W that functions lightyears greater. I'm quite pleased with the buy and will shop Corsair for all my PSUs from now on.

Substantially quieter than the stock 500w Apevia in my case, good sleeved cords, additional than I know what to do with. Comes with zip-cords to organize cables. Fan adjusts primarily based on activity, far more environmentally friendly. Not modular, but this is just a 500w, you get what you spend for, and this is fantastic quality for price tag. Good sufficient for my micro-ATX case with Phenom II x4 965 and a single GTX 460. Energy to spare.

Weight is relatively good for its price tag variety. Went to a B&M that had this as properly a few other PSUs I was contemplating and this weighs very a bit more by means of the arm curl weighing program. In loose generalities, way more weight equals far more top quality. Cable sleeving is carried out definitely well. It is actually the similar that can be discovered on their "enthusiast" series (I also have the TX650 and TX750). It is top quality sleeving with heat shrink at the ends with little of the wires showing at the connectors. Lengthy lengths on all connectors. This could be a con in a tiny case. If I was going a SFF program I would insist on modular anyway. Paint looks highly high-quality. It looks as superior or better that the vast majority of PSUs in its cost variety. It is quiet adequate to not be heard over any of the other components in this case which are just more than ambient. Corsair lists that there are 4 4pin molex connectors and 5 SATA connectors on this PSU. All four of the four pin molex connectors are on 1 wire run. The 5 SATA connectors are split in between two wire runs. This created a challenge for me as I was replacing a failed PSU in an older machine with no SATA at all. I had to jocky around the drives to get the 4 connections on the one particular wire run to function in this specific create. It was actually a stretch to get it to operate and added a lot of time to simply swapping out a PSU. You can not see this in newegg's pics and it is not noted here or on Corsairs internet site. I did unearth some evaluations on tech websites that noted this though so I can't knock it for my lack of investigation. I was disappointed that newegg does not list the number of each and every connector kind on the "details" tab as they do with most other PSUs. I would and seriously quite possibly will use this PSU once more in spending budget and entry level gaming builds. It is a fabulous value specifically for what it went for in the shell shocker deal.

It's a PSU. Corsair's rebate policy is horrible. If you do not submit the rebate within 21 days of *purchase* (not from when you essentially recieve the product), guess what...the rebate is void. The entire method is designed to maintain you from actually obtaining a rebate. I returned the PSU and took a 20 buck hit just on principle. Vote with your wallet, stay away from Corsair and their ridiculous rebates.

Built with a lot of of these, the sleeving is nice, they give you a case badge and you never have to worry about your cables not reaching. Superb warranty procedure as properly. Not modular, but nonetheless they do present the modular design and style for a tiny bit much more, not a lot of a con :P Silly peely tape that is on the CORSAIR logo on the fan is challenging to peel :P

Its a Corsair. They make the very best IMO and this is a fantastic price range PSU. I utilised this on a new home (non-gaming) machine for a friend and it worked great. And considering that its a Corsair it will continue to work good for years. I would recommend their Enthusiast Series if your hunting to game or overclock none

Very good searching PSU, just as excellent as the TX series minus the higher amp 12V. Does the job and runs quiet. Powering AMD 555 - Gigabyte 880g - 4gb Ram - 500gb Western digital - Antec 300. Plenty of room for expansion in the future. Another top quality Corsair Power Provide. None that i can see. Not modular but you spend additional for that and its not usually required.

Even even though this is a non modular energy supply. The constructed high quality is just awsome. I was really please with over style. none. specially for the value i paid for. it had discount code and plus rebate. My final PSU was a 600w Enermax PSU that lasted 6.5 year. I have high hopes for this PSU.

Corsair name signifies high quality. I really like their memory modules also. They manufacture parts that you can trust to carry out properly for a extended time. When this level of excellent only expenses a couple of bucks additional than acquiring some off brand, it's a no brainer to choose Corsair. Each and every time. Voltages are proper and stable. The unit runs quiet, both audibly and electrically. Lots of cables. Excellent sturdy connectors on most lines. Of note, 4 SATAs, two PCI-Es, and an eight pin. (more on that later) Nicely shielded cables. A lot of length in the wires for maneuvering. Just two cons. 1 not as well big a deal, one particular far more serious. The eight pin connector is capable of coming apart to two fours, if you have an older board. One particular of the retention clips just popped right off one side. Thinner plastic on the retention clip than I've noticed, even on low-cost generic supplies. Not a big deal, but not fantastic. My second con was far more of a headache. The power provide is about 1-2mm too wide. My situation has a energy supply bay that can be removed to swap in a new supply. I've utilised several distinct supplies in this case, and in no way had a clearance problem until employing this provide. It took some Dremel perform and a bit of bending to get it to fit. It was.... horrifying. A quality piece of gear like this shouldn't suffer from weak retention clips or clearance difficulties due to not staying within spec tolerances. Just requires a bit more QC. Other than that, I'm really content with the performance of the unit overall.

Good quality constructed unit with decent internal components. Dependable fans with very good air volume and reasonably low noise. Cables are neatly wrapped to make them slightly simpler to manage inside the case. Price could be a tiny high for the rated output. Soon after trying many brands, I only use Corsair energy supplies. They expense a bit more than some other brands, but I have yet to have one particular fail, even below heavy load. There may well be much better models out there, but until such time as I actually have a issue with a Corsair unit I see no cause to try something else.

Measured 7W less standby power than my old Nexus NX3000. Also measured .96 Power Aspect. Energy Cables are bundled in mesh for effortless routing. None seriously. I only wish that one particular power cable had Each 4-pin and SATA energy connectors. I had to use 3 cables from the PS for my system. Not really a con, but it would have been good. I would advocate this power supply.

Lots of cables for all your energy hungry devices. Corsair brand and 2 year warranty ease the thoughts. The logo is upside down when installed in the leading of a laptop or computer situation as an alternative of the bottom. Corsair likes to sleeve their cables, which is good, but I uncover them really annoying. There had been a couple of individual fibers coming off of them when I got it, a pair of scissors got rid of them. It's a reach to ask, but individually sleeved cords would usually be great :P
