Looks good. Allowed me to boot for a day or so. Following two days I noticed that my computer had gone into sleep mode, and with Win7 the sleep mode allows you to use a mouse button to wake your computer up. Nicely the Computer went from sleep mode to turning on the monitor, and then a hard lockup. I tried to force a shutdown and reboot and this was followed by a puff of smoke from the back of the PSU. Luckily I have yet another PSU which got me back up and operating with no having to wait for such a long RMA course of action. I'm also dissapointed that I want to pay for shipping for this to be replaced.

It operates fantastic - Not modular, so there are LOTS of cables. But I knew that when I bought it. And it comes in a velvet bag. Like Crown Royal, only black. For some reason, I'm getting a high-pitched squeal/buzz from it just from each and every-day use. And it's rather loud. It tends to stop when I run a game/program/etc that needs a little additional energy, so that's fine, but soon after I quit playing, It goes back to squealing/buzzing/etc.. Feel I'm going to have to RMA it, just simply because when this occurred with my last one, it crapped out a week later.

All of Corsairs PSU's function at a higher level. I know when I have a single of these units, it will get the job completed. The larger TX series have a LOT of cables and you need to have to find a spot to place them. For these of us who have Post Workplace Boxes you require to know that Corsair will not send a rebate to a PO box.

Plenty connections for anything you would want to connect.Quiet.Value. DOES NOT Function WITH Prevalent MOTHERBOARDSNumerous cables make quite a wad Have spent hours now troubleshooting a technique just die to a power provide upgrade ..... how straightforward can a power supply upgrade be. Lastly after researching additional on the web, I uncover out tons of individuals obtaining this challenge more than Corsair TX power supplies. Sure they have recognized the difficulty and present to RMA, nearly not caring, but what about the down time and frustration people are going by way of due to this problem. Not expected at all from Corsair and they have certainly moved down the preference list on purchases. Manufacturer Response:It sounds as if you basically got a defective unit. Please let us or Newegg to replace it as this PSU functions perfectly properly and has no recognized compatibility concerns.External Link(s): Corsair RMA Hyperlink|

This PSU gives all the power I will need to run two GTX465's, an overclocked i7 950, water pump, fans, and a lot of other hardware. It looks fantastic, and I feel excellent figuring out that I have a quality energy provide powering my Computer. Not going to complain that its not modular, but its got a lot of cables so if you don't have a case with a very good quantity of space, excellent luck hiding the added cables. Mine has some sort of white paint on some of the black sleeves over the cables.

Excellent power provide, I watched this for a month or so. Corsair is the one to have. A 5 year warranty on this 1. It powered up fine, and runs really cool. I game just about day-to-day in the winter, no challenges here. none. I didn't want a modular power supply. I feel you get a superior connection with out it. It was just what I was searching for, and I'm picky when it comes to acquiring factors.

Fantastic PSU. Tons of power and connectors. You shouldn't need to have any longer PCIe energy connectors then what you get with this PSU. The cables are long, nearly also extended for a mid tower. This would be a pro if I had a full tower or if I had a case with the PSU on bottom. The cables are not versatile near the connectors. I am prepared to take away the snakeskin covering on cable bundles to make then far more versatile. I do not have a technique that demands so substantially power or connectors, but I was searching for a high quality PSU for the value and this was it.

This is a wonderful energy supply, properly constructed and able to power beefy setups. Tons of leads for essentially anything you want to power. For the extremely brief, and I imply quick period of time I employed the unit (to power my water loop for leak testing.. see under for a lot more info) it ran quite quiet. Not a fault of Corsair's at all, but the TX series is not compatible with certain MSI motherboards. It may only be earlier revisions, but my P55-GD65 would not power on at all. At 1st I thought I had lost the board, but I via it on my old PSU and it started up just fine. I tried flashing diverse bios's, double checking wiring, and so forth. Then I plugged the Corsair into a board for a phenom2 and it booted fine. Following some looking I discovered out that it has one thing to do with MSI's OC Genie (according to Anandtech) and CWT (Channel Properly Technologies) built PSU's. I attempted to even disable the OC Genie in the bios, but that also didn't fix it. Ended up obtaining a unique PSU and returning this. TX series are CWT (Channel Well Technologies)HX series are SeasonicUnless you own an MSI P55-GD65 or GD80, you shouldn't have any difficulties.

All in all, I'm positive this power provide is good. This PSU in unique and I think it's the complete TX series, does not play nicely with ASUS P6 series motherboards. Also, if you have a mid tower...you're gonna need lots of zip ties for the cords. This thing has a stupid amount of them. If you get this powersupply get a bottom mounted mid tower or get a full size one particular. Really heart breaking mainly because I loved anything about this one particular in certain. I RMA'ed the Mobo just to make sure practically nothing was broken and I'm refunding this PSU to get a different brand.

Ok for all these negative reviews out there shut up.I have this thing operating a Phenom II 955 @ 4.2 Ghz, eight GB of DDR3, and three let me say that once more 3 MSI GTX 275 Lightning editions @ 1150 Mhz. And there is still space left for my four 1 TB HDD and my DVD burner and my BR burner. I don't even believe I am utilizing all the power it has. none Fine it has troubles with some i7 Mobos. Then don't purchase it for that but don't give it negative marks over it. As the fault would lay with the Mobo maker not the power supply. In this market we use requirements so if the PSU operate with every thing except 1 Mobo with no isue. My guess would be the Mobo isn't up on all standards. I do this form of work for a living. I am A+, Network+, Safety+, and I have my MCSA.

Stable power even at higher CPU overclocks and high GPU overclocks. Quiet fan, 5-year warranty with Corsair's amazing top quality and consumer service. High quality cabling that will reach even the biggest complete towers....didn't even require the CPU extension cable, quality connectors and heavy, solid general construct....uses some of the best interior components. Johnnyguru reviewed this unit and loves it. Massive, fat 12v rail!! No coil whine at all. Operates very properly plugged into my UPS device, an APC XS1500, which doesn't use a correct sine wave. Some higher end PSU's have concerns with UPS devices without a accurate sine wave output, but this a single doesn't. Maintains higher efficiency regardless of becoming loaded at 700w, my rigs complete bore, which is outstanding for a item in this value range. I'm running the EVGA E760 3-way SLI Classified mobo and this PSU performs excellently with my setup. Non modular. But I didn't want to spend the $$$ to step up to modular, so it isn't truly a con. But it does take some inventive expertise to hide the left more than cabling, even in a HAF 932. It's like attempting to stuff a 300lb gorilla into a pillow case. I fully grasp that some Asus mobo's aren't compatible with this PSU, but that's NOT the fault of this PSU and as such, these who rated this PSU badly are just emotionally reacting to their poor investigation prior to purchase. I'm running an i7-920 @ 3.6GHz, Dual GTX285's in SLI, despite the fact that I did have three in SLI....my other laptop's GPU died so I put a single in that computer....an OCZ SSD, two 1TB drives, two opticals, water cooling, front bay LCD/Fan controller, many fans. When running the three GPU's, I could load up to 850w and this beast just took it all. Now with two GPU's, loaded is 700W. High efficiency from the 300w idle up to and such as the 850w I ran it at....fan was still quiet and the temps coming out of the back of the unit had been well within the norm for a PSU of this size and load.

This is the 4th unit I RMA this week and each time is costing me about $30. The 24 pin connector is constantly melting two pins. The MOBO is ASUS P6T DeLuxe with Core i7 920 and GeForce GTX 470 SLI. No OC whatsoever.I'd like to give it 1 star but NCIX will not let me do that.

950w PSU, 78amps on a single rail. Caused system to be unstable, continual lock ups. I purchased this unit to replace an aging Etasis 750w PSU. Running an Asus P6T Deluxe V2, i7 920, GTX295, 2 HD's and 2 optical drives. Was replacing my waterblock and figured i'd swap in this psu at the same time. After booting the technique hung on windows loading. Rebooted, and following a couple of minutes in windows, hung up once more. Soon after alot of checking and troubleshooting I swapped back to the Etasis and the technique is back to regular. Not sure what it is, but I see some other folks have had comparable difficulties. In the course of action of returning the unit and sticking with what functions =/Side note, I purchased this unit from another retailer. As always, newegg rocks and my 1egg rating does not reflect them, just the solution.

huge power, steady, cool, quiet even at really higher loads.best worth for the cash in a high power psu, hands down. no modular cables this can easily power all the but the most crazy of SLI setups. (maybe not sufficient for something like tripple gtx480's? but it's got adequate plugs so who knows)be positive to use it with a case that has very good cable management. if you can't channel cables behind motherboard trays you'll end up with tons of additional cables blocking air in the case.

Performance sensible a great psu Incompaitable with some Asus motherboards I personally had the problem with this power supply and an asus p6t deluxe v2. The situation was a lock up on windows 7 install and seems pretty typical Just do a tiny homework just before you buy this to operate with an asus MB. Manufacturer Response:This problem has been resolved by each ASUS and Corsair. We are sorry if any clients had this issue.

Cons: Lots of cables that are a little stiff to bend. Makes cable management a little hard but that is to be expected with a non-modular power supply of this capacity

Pros: Works great and powers my GTX 280 SLI rig just fine.No high pitched sounds like other reviewers mentioned. I guess I got lucky.Cheap price on sale.

Would have liked it to be modular but you can't get everything unless you want to throw the big bucks out. I needed raw continuous power, and I got just that with this power supply. I guess I am lucky because I am one of the ones that don't have the high pitched noise problems that some batches of this PSU suffer from. I have had this thing for a month now and it has been chugging along quite nicely on my power hog of a system. Gigabyte Z77X-UD3HCore i5 3570K2x EVGA GTX280 SC in SLI16gb Mushkin DDR3Cougar Challenger case with custom UV red lights.1 x OCZ Agility 3 SSD1 x 1TB Seagate hard drive7 fans in total (2 x 120mm fan, 3 x 140mm fan, 1 x 200mm fan, and 1 x 120mm fan on my Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo cpu cooler)I have always trusted in corsair quality. I haven't been having as much success with their ram lately, but this PSU has been amazing, especially for the price I paid for it! If I am ever building another system that needs raw continuous power of this capacity, I will definitely consider this PSU! VERY satisfied.

950W Inexpensive building/components Upon installation, a single of the mounting screws stripped(only holding the screwdriver with my thumb and index finger, so no I was not over-tightening them). I ought to have taken that as a sign of points to come. Soon after Ӵ total hours of use amongst three days; total failure through game-play. I RMA'd so we'll see if the replacement is any better, if not I'll go back to Antec.

This PSU tends to make my case whisper. I had no concept that my Thermaltake 560W was so loud. It came in a nice velvet bag all packaged tight in the box. I have noticed that Newegg has switched from foam peanuts to brown packaging paper....maybe to save price. Nonetheless, the PSU arrived without having a scratch on it and it performs excellent. -Extended cables, undoubtedly not meant for Micro-ATX instances. I have a Mid-ATX case and it barely fit.-Had to pull Mobo out of my Lian-Li PC60 case to install PSU. It's a quite tight fit, but I lastly got it in the case.-Just a little grumble, the energy cable that comes with the PSU is thicker than most...which is good. But it is also shorter, resulting in me moving my Computer closer to the UPS. For the cost, brand name, and attributes you can't go incorrect with this PSU. And as usually, Newegg got it here a day faster than expected. Awesome shipping time!!
