Fits in slim/low profile computer system with no dilemma, doesnt seem to be moving alot of air but have yet to use it to its full energy. It really quiet so that a plus. It doesnt have a pwm connection on it, instead it comes with a fan controller that you put on the side of your computer system to handle the speed. Yet another item that doesnt like to give full facts... but anywaysLxWxH = 108mm x 108mm x 66mmOnly a three pin (MB) connector

The liquid cooler (heatsink and fan combo) is very properly made and packaged nicely. All hardware was offered and the guidelines had been superb. It mounted to my LGA 1155 socket with i7-2600K processor with out difficulty. Extremely suggested. The fan connector did not match my motherboard fan energy connectors, and the guidelines did not show variations for distinct manuf's boards. It could be that my ASUS Maximus IV Extreme mobo is so new, that Zalman hasn't rather caught up yet. We'll see. Caution: install your cpu, then mount the fan with a thin (!), even film of thermal grease (supplied), on both components (cpu and fan plate). Be certain to mount the fan just before inserting your mobo into your chassis. I employed a HAF 912 with a cutout for the backside of the cpu, but couldn't clear the side plate without taking it back out. It's all about the sequence.I will almost certainly try to use the ASUS fan control with its thermal sensor, even thought the Zalman comes with a fan speed controller.

Copper bars and a sturdy grillQuiet fan If you're working with a smaller sized motherboard (like a micro ATX) be careful what RAM you acquire. Some RAM with heat spreaders have vertical heat sinks that stick up above the RAM. If the slots sit suitable next to the processor then they WILL NOT Match. Normal RAM can fit underneath, on the other hand. As long as the RAM is at least 1" away from the processor seat you really should be fine with tall RAM

Keeps my CPU cool. Pushes a lot of air. Not making use of the Adjustable Fan Speed Controller and operating it on complete. The fan is way also loud on complete speed. If you leave your Pc on all the time this is not for you. It's not as difficult to set up as some find it to be.

Dropped temps about 8° at idle and 20° or more after Prime95 for an extended period. Incredibly pleased with the buy from Newegg. One pin incredibly hard to reach for locking. Instructions could be produced a little clearer.

Solid building, good seeking, low profile. Came with a thermal paste, but I also bought Arctic Silver five thermal compound, so I didn't require it. Keeps my CPU extremely cool, about ambient temp idle ྐྵ-27C) and right after five minutes of Prime 95, 35C (stock clock). So far so very good. Also, I feel it is fairly quiet. In fact, I can hardly inform the difference involving low and high, that is over the din of the other program fans. I don't see any so far, some are complaining about tough installation. Two words: patience patience! It's a small annoying when you in fact get to the mounting aspect, since the copper heat tubing wraps about a side, and sticks out, more than exactly where you are mounting (if you are working with AM3) and makes it challenging to reach. But, I managed to jimmy my screwdriver by way of without damaging any elements. Also, getting the whole issue on straight is a little difficult, it will tend to stick up larger on the opposite side you are trying to fasten. But again, patience is the greatest policy here. My 1st review. Got this HSF with a new mobo (msi 880) and 8 gigs of g.talent ddr3. I nevertheless have my old athlon II x3 435 rana, but with such a highly effective, successful and quiet HSF, I can envision this permitting me a lot more headroom to OC down the line.

Value Major fan and heat sink. Guidelines were confusing and had to disassemble plate on bottom of mobo. Also covered up ram slot.

It's a fan... or tries to be. It's so badly develop, you will will need to bend it to get it to align appropriately. The nuts they give you don't fit in the holes, you you have to apply WAY as well significantly force for something inside a Computer and threat significant harm to your hardware. It didn't fit in the hole, I had to bend a single of the onboard chipset heatsinks to make it fit. Don't touch this with a 100 feet pole. Why can't I give it eggs? I didn't get this from newegg, but hoping to conserve whoever thinks of acquiring it hours of headaches. This is a quite fantastic cooler for a prime flow fan and I can't feel of quite a few motherboards it won't fit. Excellent choice for the price. Installation instructions are easy to realize. No detrimental cons. The purchaser should be familiar with taking their motherboard out of the case and off of the situation backpanel to install the fan assembly, reinstall motherboard, and rehook the motherboard cables. Upgraded from Athlon X2 4800 to Phenom X4 9600 on Asus M3A motherboard. I only use exceptional high quality thermal paste. Moderate load CPU temp is 50 Degrees Celcius on this 95 watt TDP processor.

Low profile would not perform working with Gigabyte mini itx motherboard (GA-H55N-USB3) and two sticks of Gskill ripjaw memory (F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL) The memory was too tall in the 1st memory slot blocking installation of the heat sync I received the heat sync in a bubble envelope and observed some bent fins. This sort of packaging and shipment is entirely unacceptable to me.

Size. Most of the other air coolers I was looking at were enormous. I wanted anything smaller that nonetheless got the job done.Quiet. Can't hear it.Efficiency. The CPU (Core i5-760) is idling at 24C, and beneath complete load on all cores only hit high-40s. None. Install was painless as properly.

I dont comprehend why a handful of people have mentioned it doesnt fit 1366 correctly because it does. Read the directions and you will be fine.Fits great, wonderful price. Great cooling for a tiny/low profile fan. Set up is annoying if you do not read the instructions.

Quiet, Low Profile, Cools CPU Wonderful once mounted adequately. Took awhile to setup properly. I purchased it at a laptop or computer shop, and a Tech there stated that the mounting plates on my motherboard did not have to be removed, that I just use the clip-on thing I had currently on the motherboard. That was twice that the Techs were incorrect. I had to eliminate the plastic mount around the CPU, and I tried mounting this heatsink with the mobo backplate, and it did not operate. So, you HAVE to use this heatsinks backplate that attaches onto the back of your motherboard. Also, the heatsink goes right more than my first slot of RAM. So don't have ram that's tall on the initial slot. SpecsASUS AM3 M4A88TD-V EVO Motherboard (BIOS Reads Temps Wrong, I use HWMonitor)AMD Phenom X6 1090T Processor

quiet, cool, its a Zalman, and fits my mini itx board with a video card, but barely it fits! a small tricky with the install but nothing that any person with a small patience cant figure out. i just purchased this cooler right after swapping from another that was too large for the video slot on the mother board. This fits great on my Gigabyte h55n-usb3 mother board but the EVGA gts 450 barely fits out of the way of this cooler. Swapping ram could be difficult in this set up but with these builds you have to believe ahead

Big, solid, quiet, low-profile. Poor mounting approach. This is a seemingly well-engineered component with lots of copper and aluminum that does cool effectively. But, I was surprised when it didn't fit according to the directions. I ultimately had to remove the spacer pad and tape from the backside bracket so the front side screws would reach. Then, I was disappointed that I had to guess how considerably to screw it down. I would rather have had some type of attachment strategy that would stop too considerably pressure and give even pressure on all 4 corners (without guesswork). I employed a full ATX size MB (Biostar A770E3 with AMD Phenom II) and didn't have any issues with crowding the memory. Nevertheless, like another post, mine arrived with a couple of bent fins.

Cons: Thermal grease is poor and not enough of itDoes not cool very well compared to past products

Pros: Installation was easyReliable companyQuiet
Comment:
Installed this today for my 2500K. The thermal grease provided is very bad and I ended up having to use some of my Arctic Silver 3 as well which I've had for ages (probably 7 years). I think the time has come to switch to premade water cooling (such as Corsair's line) as air just isn't cutting it anymore. I am getting 45 C on idle and 55 C on full load. I expected a lot better, but you get what you pay for.The company is very reliable, but this product just doesn't cut it. I'm happy with the noise level and the fact that it does a better job than stock cooling. But next time, it's off to water cooling.

Cons: wish it would work with ASUS Qfan. it's not quite as quiet as i thought but, don't really care too much.

Pros: looks great and it fit!!!
Comment:
it fit in my somewhat-less-than-spacious thermaltake case and keeps temperatures nice and low. Q8300 mildly OC'ed to 2.85GHz and ran prime95 for over an hour at >40*C. brilliant.

Cons: the fan adjustment tool feels out of place

Pros: quietinexpensivehigh quality
Comment:
this heat sink works great as a low profile cooler. depending on your case it can work wonders by blowing cool air onto the cpu as well as other components. the knob for adjusting the fan is a little bulky but other than that it's a great heatsink
