Corsair!Entry level, inexpensive introduction to hydro coolingUncomplicated Installation A tiny pricey. But, you get what you pay for. There are some solutions on the marketplace that are no brainers. This is a single of them. This cooler easily shaved off 20 degrees from my average temps. Gives an overclocker plenty of head space to squeeze a small further out of that CPU. I'm making use of Handbrake in the background as I variety this overview which is pushing my processor to one hundred% load and I'm sitting at a comfy 45c Idle. I've observed lows down to 21c already. Pair this with the Corsair 800D and you can't go incorrect! Got my OC'd Ɠ.9) Phenom X4 955 BE operating at 48C after 12 hour anxiety test . Really QuietIncredibly basic to set up as lengthy as you have some common sense with basic directions. Hoses are stiff and I could not add added 200mm fan in my NZXT Phantom simply because the way they ended up against the side of the case. Will modify some metal mesh to keep the hoses away from the fan later on. I have the push pull setup with this cooler so I am sure it's assisting my temps. Would def. advise to anybody who can fit it in their case.

Effortless to set up, kept the CPU cool, but all the pros pale in comparison to the one big flaw... Following a year I noticed my show wasn't coming up by way of my 5850's HDMI. Immediately after a small unplugging I noticed a thing I figured I wouldn't have to deal with when I purchased the Corsair Hydro...A LEAK! The hoses connecting to the water-block pump had dripping, and eventually it hit a nearby fan and sprayed all over the motherboard/graphics card. I think the graphics card is fine, but the motherboard is ruined...I've tried the usual tactics when a component gets coolant on it, but this is the very first motherboard I've had this come about to that I couldn't fix. Utterly and most assuredly disappointed a lot more than I have EVER been for any laptop part I have ever ordered... Basically worthless. I've seen these utilised in many CPU Magazines by third-celebration laptop builders...there was no kinking, no tugging, and all I can come up with is the tubing is simply also fragile and weak to hold up for a long time. I dont know about the newer Hydro Series models, but possessing to replace my motherboard now, Corsair has lost me as a customer for life. I have no need to make contact with client service simply because I just require a computer system to perform so I took this bullet and chalked it up as a lesson discovered...if you want a liquid cooling method...Construct IT Your self...!! I hope I save an individual the trouble down the road.

Simple installTop quality CreateGreat GuidelinesLow Cost Installing Radiator inside case can limit some overhead fan placements but it's worth the outcome I installed this in a Cooler Master 690 case as an intake as recommended. Created certain the pump was on a full speed connector and fan on the cpu header. It dropped my AMD Phenom II X4 temps by ten degrees. I'd listened to testimonials and authorities saying that a very good air cooler can get the identical results but I tried a Sythe Ninja Plus B and even with artic silver TIM I under no circumstances got the low temps I get with the H50. I had to hold back on my overclock, but now I'm running a three.6Ghz and that's only simply because I don't like to push the voltage larger.TIP: if you want to mount two fans in a push/pull config just use two of the 4 supplied screws to hold each fan, seems apparent but I didn't believe of it till I read the tip from a person else...

My load temps had been among 55c-60c.Now with this cooler I see idle temps amongst 25c-27c and under load my cpu by no means gets above 33c.Nice and quiet. none I am quite pleased with this cooler. Superb cooling remedy. Pre applied thermal paste. Easy installation on my Asus mobo. Keeps my Phenom II x2 565 Callisto OC'd to four.0GHz idling @ 19c and by no means over 29c in the course of extended gaming sessions. None as far as cooling goes. I had to make a minor mod to my Rosewill Destroyer case in order to install. The radiator is about 1Ǟ inch also tall, so I had to drill 4 lower holes in the case to mount it. I picked one particular of these up at a local shop (sorry newegg) due to the fact they have been on sale for a low-cost price. I was skeptical with liquid cooling but decided to give it a attempt immediately after so a lot of good critiques. Insanely glad I decided to go with it because now I idle about 19-22C and gaming 36-39C. (AMD Phenom II X6).Even so, I haven't tried overclocking however. None. While it's advisable to have the back fan set up as an intake, I set it up as an exhaust fan since it would mess with the air flow of my case (it's also pulling hot air from my ram/gpu). Two front as intake, side as intake, top as exhaust, and back as exhaust keeps my case particularly cool (Antec 900). Make sure you install accordingly to how you want air to flow via your case. The fan the H50 comes with does perform as stated but you may well have to go into your BIOS and turn off smart fan control before it'll run at max RPM.

Compact does a nice job maintaining the CPU cool when functioning appropriately. No buyer service no way to call consumer service and not able to get RMA from manufacture. Item failing immediately after being installed in Dec 2010 not even a full 4 months service . There is a problem with the internal pump. When a pump hits a spot where there is no fluid it's referred to as cavitation. The pump work erratically an pushing air across the CPU has to benefit to the cooling method. There is a basic way to verify your pump go to the bios of your mother board and select the hardware monitor and appear at the fan RPMS for the port to where the pump is plugged in. If you notice erratic reporting of the Fan Speed (RMP) this is the outcome of the pump not operating appropriately it should have a steady price of flow not number that jump all more than the place dropping all the way down to . I verified this pump on numerous ports and even did a jumper test and discovered the identical. This is mostly like lead to from air in the program. I submitted my information to CORSAIR and requested a Return Material Authorization and they in no way responded. So lessons learned only by from a reputable supplier who is not afraid to list a speak to telephone number. Early warning signs of eminent f

Quite quiet and works wonders on cooling your CPU!I was somewhat hesitant to jump in to the globe of liquid cooling provided all the related risks, but this cooler eliminates all of these risks by placing the clutter of a liquid cooling program into a convenient package. It dropped my CPU idle temps from 38C to 32C in a matter of a day! Also, my Pc no longer sounds like a jet engine on take off due to the quiet nature of the cooler. The included fan can of course be set to either exhaust or intake, depending on your cooling preferences and demands.Overall, high quality product that feels and appears really durable, great for people like me that want liquid cooling with no the dangers! Given that I game a lot, this is outstanding since usually below load my old CPU fan cooler sounded like a truck engine. Looks excellent as properly. Installation demands removal of the motherboard if you do not have a removable mobo tray or access to the back of the mobo from elsewhere, although this is common with virtually all higher high quality CPU coolers. Included guidelines are so-so at very best, so this cooler is not for new builders; folks with knowledge will be able to place this cooler in with tiny trouble on the other hand, so don't let the little quantity of directions deter you. Incredible cooler, very advised.

Rapidly installation! I had this installed in my super smaller and tight case in 20 minutes. (Old Antec SuperLanBoy)I set the fan up to push by means of the cooler and out of the case and my idle temps are 39 on my stock i7 920.I downloaded and ran Prime 95 and my temps max out at 59, some cores bounce 58-61. I had to take away my motherboard to install the backplate, but if your case permits access to the back of your motherboard you will not have to uninstall it. I would have to say that of all the goods I have purchased considering that 1995 this is the most impressive 1, due to the level of ease for installation, compactness, and level of efficiency supplied.I have been on the edge of going over to water cooling but as I get older I choose a system that I can build and neglect not tinker with consistently, this fits that bill nicely, now to locate a comparable cooler for my video cards.

*Works excellent, keeps my cpu at a solid 40 degrees C.*very quiet, I can't even notice it all. *installing this point was a huge hassle, the directions are severe garbage and don't inform you precisely what to do, all they give you are photos, not sufficient to dock an egg for even though.*makes it awkward to build about when installed, make confident you place it in last. I would undoubtedly advocate this to other people but my guidance to corsair would be to redesign your directions as they might confuse first time builders.

-Big, bulky radiator-Relatively uncomplicated set up if your technique isn't currently constructed and you watch the related video detailing how to set up it. -Good and quiet -Hoses are just barely long adequate to install with the logo oriented effectively, could have utilized one more inch or two of length-fan could run a tiny more quickly I put this on a Core i7 2600K mounted in a Maximus IV Intense MB that has been OC'd to 4.6 Ghz and I am a small diappointed in the temps I was acquiring. At idle I am displaying CPU temp of 40C (at OC'd and base speed) in a well-venilated AZZA 1000 Solano case. Operating Prime95 puts the processor amongst 90C and 95C; I anticipated far better... I will admit a minor flub on my part essential me to clean off the thermal paste and replace it with my own (run-of-the-mill) paste, I'm going to get a tube of Arctic Silver, hopefully that will help. I can say that my temps did not boost or lower when I put my personal paste on, so I'm not terribly hopeful greater paste will make a large diffence, but I'll repost if it does. All in all, I just expected to get somewhat far better functionality than what I'm currently obtaining.

- Keeps my i7 980x actually cool (see other thoughts)- Barely audible/quieter than most air coolers.- Economical None. Keeps my i7 980x @ four.0Ghz at 24*C (lowest) - 34*C (highest temp) Idle. Beneath load: 37*C to 46*C when playing Crysis. Ran Prime95 at 4.3Ghz and the highest temperature I got was 65*C. Couldn't be happier.

I've owned this cooler for well over a year and I haven't had any troubles with it whatsoever. Its quiet, cools my OC'd QX6850 just fine, and it looks cool. It has stood the test of time with my rig and I'm certain in many other individuals. MB removal, massive whoop. Go huge or go home. It keeps my QX6850 OC'd @ 3.33 at a steady 25c and effectively under 50c for the duration of 100% load. Last summer season the area temperature of my apartment got more than 95f at times but my proc never ever exceeded 60c under full load. A single of the best Pc investments I've ever created.

Item performs effectively, straightforward and quite rapid set up for liquid cooler and incredibly compact No direct cons for the H50 item, see other thoughts I didn’t take any eggs off for this, as it is not Corsair’s fault. Nevertheless, it is a consideration I didn’t think of prior to buy. I run an ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 with an i7 920 @ four.0GHz, this cooler works excellent on the CPU. Large unfavorable of the motherboard design and style…. the passive heat sink cooling for the chipset and power capacitors assumes you are cooling your CPU with a fan solution. I highly suggest reviewing your mb chipset, and ought to contemplate buying two x 40mm fans to actively cool your chipset even though working with this H50 product. I do recognize the ASUS P6T Deluxe does ship with an optional chipset fan, don’t bother installing, it’s a joke of a fan. Purchase a greater CFM resolution.

It keeps the temps down as advertised, significantly better than the CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 I was working with previously. The incorporated thermal grease is in fact quite high-finish stuff; due to the fact it also doesn't call for any curing time, you'll get maximum thermal overall performance right out of the box. Installation wasn't as difficult as numerous individuals make it out to be. Anybody with even a basic level of hand-eye coordination can do it. You want me to exhaust the air INTO my case? I don't assume so, my buddy. Even even though I have a monster CoolerMaster HAF 932 case with more air flowing by means of it than a jet engine, that's a thing I'm not prepared to do. And only one fan? For shame, Corsair. Working with this thing with two fans in a push-pull config is fairly significantly a requirement if you want to see it execute at its greatest. I have this installed -- with a push-pull fan config -- on an Intel Core i5 750 quad core processor overclocked to three.6GHz @ 1.20 VCore (SpeedStep & Turbo disabled). It hovers around 33-38 degrees C at idle depending on ambient area temps (which are frequently higher since my personal computer space is in a stuffy attic), but under load -- eight hours of Prime95 operating smaller FTT -- it *NEVER* goes more than 60 degrees C. I'm extremely satisfied with these temps given that, like I said, my computer system resides in a stuffy attic. If it weren't for that, I'd be running 4GHz+ no dilemma.

It works. Its quiet, and simple to set up. Tubes could have been a small longer. Screws for push/pull would be nice. Doesn't hold my cpu as cool as I had hoped, by any suggests. Could barely get a my i7-950 OC'd to 4Ghz and even then it wasnt steady. Quite a few men and women have achieved this or higher with air. Overall I would say its worth while if your not undertaking main overclocking. It performs nicely sufficient and its a lot less pressure on the motherboard then a gaint heatsink/fan.
