Performs nicely after it is set up adequately. Took me a couple of hours to set up simply because I had to play with the IP configuration in Windows 7. The simple one touch button set up does not function after you initially plug the device to a energy outlet. Manual was useless when it comes to explaining how to set up the device as a bridge, ap or on automatic mode. I would not suggest obtaining this product unless you have a thorough understanding of wireless networks and a bit of a tech savy particular person.

No dilemma with this item and the wireless connections. Working with it as a bridge at the moment, connected without having a dilemma utilizing the swift set up directions. The instructions on the CD guide are in depth and maybe not for the wary or the inexperienced, even so. Connected a wired device and it was accepted without additional configuration. The blinking light, which to most of us would indicate a issue, is actually the "good" light. Kinda annoying if you have the bridge facing you. I simply hid it behind anything. Get rid of the blinking light.

Simple to setup with D-Hyperlink 655 Router, rapid enough to stream hulu and netflix to devices without having any challenge. Not a lot of configuration to do, fairly much plug and play. The Auto Configuration setting sucks, set it to the mode you imply to use, either brige or ap. Dont trust the auto mode. If you do, the issue forgets and has to be reconfigured frequently.

When set up operates well, operating as bridge it will pass through 2Mb/S Comcast cable connection (upload and download) effortlessly. Working as a bridge...Confusing to set up as the similar html web page field in the firmware is utilized to set up the box, when it calls for a static connection to 192.168..50, and for runtime, when your network is probably requiring DHCP. At the point the firmware is set to use DHCP then access to the setup web pages is lost. The unit also needs the use of Internet Explorer to use the Setup web pages. In Firefox absolutely nothing is displayed for Wireless Setup. This is not impressive.

It seems fast It is difficult to set up, and I had to get in touch with support. The Net pages for the wireless in bridged mode DO NOT perform on a Mac with Firefox or Safari. I had to use Windows and Online Explorer to set it up!I was seriously disappointed that it does not do each bands simultaneously. And I was attempting to associate with a D-Link DIR-825, so the one-push setup need to have worked, but did not simply because D-Link utilizes 192.168..1, and I had to modify the router to 192.168.1.1. Tech support gave me a lot of bad information. What was needed was to adjust the address of the 1522 to be on the 192.168.1 subnet, and then to also adjust the router.

The WPS setup button works, and the connection holds reasonably nicely for internet surfing. Due to the fact this is a bridge and doesn't assign IP address, obtaining access to the net interface can be a chore. THE RESET BUTTON DOESN'T Work!! I've attempted almost everything including a 30-30-30 tough reset and when I plug it back in it's nevertheless not at the default IP and it is bridging to the identical router. Big issue as it is now lost somewhere on my network (can't keep in mind what IP I assigned it a month ago and can't come across it in my router or ipconfig cmd line). Also, I've been kicked out of xboxlive too a lot of instances for lost connections with this issue. Don't want to inform you this because I'd like to see them keep readily available, but the netgear wndr3300 refurb operating ddwrt is the bomb. True dual (simultaneous radios) and with ddwrt it can be utilised as a bridge. I logged onto newegg to see if it was also late to return this dap1522 and get two more wndr3300s for the exact same value, but it is also late.

Easy set up for access point. It eliminated me attempting to turn a non compliant DIR655 into an access point (which I've discovered is not supported). The set up was straightforward for the access point. I simply double clicked on the infrastructer icon in windows 7 and it walked me via the method in about 30 seconds. My signal two rooms away is complete bars even thought the unit doesn't have antennas so that appears fair. My android phones, PS3, laptop all connected no concerns none so far Excellent solution, want it was more affordable but it is kind of the cream of the crop dual band wireless n so... worth it to me.

The menus are equivalent to the D-hyperlink wireless router, so it was relatively simple to understand. Some of the attributes aren't explained properly. Intermittently drops connections, have to consistently reboot the unit. I purchased this to replace an older 54G unit I had and it was undesirable from the start off. If I have much more than 1 thing connected to it in addition to my X-box, the wireless connection constantly drops. I can move it two feet away and the signal gets weaker or occasionally stronger bit nonetheless drops out. I typically like D-link but this is absolutely nothing more than a paperweight.

Immediately after reading the instructions, and finding ideas from fellow reviewers, I had this device up and running in about 30 minutes. Good robust signal. Does what it says it's supposed to do. Inexpensive plastic feel. Wouldn't want to drop it! I would have liked to have the choice to install some external antennas on the thing....just in case. I have a Dlink DIR-615. I only had to use the automatic setup in my web browser. At very first, I made a handful of errors finding to that point, but as soon as there, it connected with my router and works completely. Everyone getting problems with this desires to read up additional about networking. It's a good little device.

Bandwith is hefty and access times are speedy. Uncomplicated to setup when it operates as made. Purchased 2 units. One particular performs wonderful as a bridge. The other ought to be energy cycled each and every two-8 hours in order to function as an AP. Kudos to tech assistance for wasting small time in authorizing the RMA.

As a wireless bridge, it has performed every little thing I've asked it to do.I put with each other numerous Pc's for clientele, and they generally don't have wireless NIC's, so I setup this bridge and now I can connect four Pc's by means of ethernet to run updates and get net access.(My creating comes with wireless world wide web, so I don't have access to the modem / router)As a side advantage, the wireless connection on the laptop appears to be a tiny much more constant as well. - Setup.I've been setting up modems and routers because the 2400 baud days, and honestly, I had a bit of a tricky time setting this up as a wireless bridge adequately. It was either the fact that there was such a delay when getting into settings, and then waiting for it to actual connect to the wireless network, or perhaps I was just plain performing anything wrong. It's all setup appropriately now, and I could set 1 up out of the box once more if I necessary to, but I nevertheless don't feel as although it was as simple as it could be.At present I have every thing connected to the bridge making use of static ip addresses. I can't seem to get DHCP functioning on the bridge. Not certain if that's the way it's supposed to be.

Really Rapid, Exceptional Variety, pairs with the DIR-655 perfectly Somewhat hard to setup initially, and I've setup many wireless bridges before. Applied this for my living area to connect Television, Blu-Ray, and HTPC to connect to wireless router (D-Link's DIR-655), and the speeds have been superb, no connection drops.

Excellent create bridge. Cost is also fantastic. Operates like it ought to. Setup instructions are not comprehensive for bridge installation. Most current firmware nevertheless has difficulties. QoS isn't always working correctly. Do not use firefox to setup the bridge/ap. Took me 30 mins to figure that out. Appears it doesn't load every single things on the router config web page.

Not confident of all the testimonials on the setup problems. Took the product out of the box, hooked it up to my computer system considering that I like manually setting almost everything up. Went downstairs, connected my ViP622 and Performed! Straightforward Breezy! Nevertheless have 3 ports to work with for future solutions. Making use of this DAP-1522 in bridge mode with a Linksys WRT160N. Didn't get the item before the promo code expired! Newegg Rocks.

Quite basic to implement.Rock solid, has never ever dropped a connection.Invisible to finish user. None. What a joy. After all the challenges I've had with Linksys lately (routers, USB adapters), I was starting to wonder if wireless could ever be really reliable. This issue has carried out precisely what it is supposed to do, and with 100% uptime. I have an HP wired-ethernet printer connected to it by means of CAT-five, and the bridge connects by way of encrypted WiFi to an access point, which connects via wire to a gateway router.I have in no way had any failed print job in more than a year. I have needed to execute ZERO maintenance or reboots.

Performs great to get wireless online to my Sony Tv. I bought this over the Tv dongle as it offered some future proof to the loved ones area and necessary net connections. It was a small tricky getting my household laptop IP address set to the 192.168..XX, but a rapid google search got me pointed in the appropriate path. Solid solution.

Performs as it must, an practically plug-n-play multi-device bridge. Had no difficulty setting it up with an additional manufacturers router, which I have discovered to be rare. Obtaining a good steady 150mbps, hasn't dropped a signal in the week I've had it. Operating an Xbox 360, a Sony Blu Ray streaming Netflix HD and a pc off of it in my living area. None so far. Great bridge! As always, Newegg shipping is outstanding!

It performs. The manual is in fact fairly great - it's a PDF on the CD. I like the net based configuration app. Dual channels operate actually nicely for me, and it paired seamlessly with the DIR-855. Immediately after configuring the initially time, it's kept it's settings soon after multiple power failures, and it picks the network back up seamlessly. I'm employing this in wireless bridge mode, and connecting an Xbox and PS3 to my network making use of the 'N' channel. I can stream HD content 1 floor down without having troubles. Zero to date. It does exactly what I need to do. It's a bummer that it's at present OOS, as I could use one for the basement. Read the manual and you'll be fine. There are also a couple of extremely detailed testimonials on am-a-zon that are really beneficial if you get stuck.

works as a wireless bridge, reputable connection, simple user interface host pc have to have static IP for initial setup (I did not see this outlined in the manual) The instruction booklet is very simple, there could be more detailed directions on the CD, which I did not verify. As soon as set up, functions perfectly fine. No external antenna, little case- appears neat - no clutter!

I also bought this mainly because of the gigabit switch, like most other people, and the wireless N. Smaller footprint (vertical) and uncomplicated setup. Not supported by WW-DRT, but I suppose this would be pointless bacause it's not a router, despite the fact that I could consider of some possibilities I would like to see that appears to be only presented by third-party firmware. Setup was easy but I didn't use the wizard, decided to do it manually. I use the 5Ghz band to get maxium bandwidth, but identified with WPA2 that I lost connection periodically, did some testing and identified that WPA permits me to have the safety that I want, plus the full speed offered by my ISP ྯMbits/s) devoid of any drops. In between the bridge and router (Linksys WRT600N) I really don't know who is at fault, but never ever had any other troubles with my other wireless devices making use of either band.

Solid overall performance in b/g mode. Testy to setup. WPS would not hyperlink up, manual configuration took some time. Web interface is fairly intuitive, device is not as responsive as other devices. Mix b/g/n modes triggered connection to repeatedly drop immediately after 30-60 seconds. Took a full day to understand something with N was causing the difficulty. Great price.
