After having my HIS 6790HD Video card returned to HIS for a new card replacement Twice for faulty fans. I decided to give thisArctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo II VGA Cooler a try.Since I couldn't yet afford the Video card I really wanted.Well I must say I'm shocked at how well this cooler is.My temps with the stock Noisy fan were 40c idle 72c gaming. With this cooler 35c idle & the highest so far while gaming Sniper Ghost Warrior 2. temp has gotten No higher than 42c.And this is .7V. Yes this unit is very large 10.5 inches long now. But its also very quiet. Very easy to install it just took about 2 hours for the heat sinks to cure. I'm so glad I bought this.

I installed this on my pny gtx 670, which was a reference card. I didn't really find any info on whether it would work or not, but it did fit on. It has been keeping my 670 nice and cool ever since. When I played crysis 2 on max the temp went to 62 degrees Celsius max. On less demanding games the temp will only get up to about 50 degrees Celsius max. The instillation did take time but the thermal glue worked well, just make sure to give it enough time to cure. Probably not as easy as thermal tape but does a good job keeping the components cool. Fans are extremely quiet and not heard over other case fans. Good Buy!

Cons: -takes up three slots-top card in SLI still runs substantially hotter than the bottom card if there is no extra space between the cards.

Pros: -drops GPU temps by 20C or more!-very quiet!
Comment:
The fans on both of my MSI 560Ti Twin Frozer II's died, and my GPU temps were quite a bit above where they should have been. I'd been looking at the reviews for this video card cooler, and to be honest, I was a bit skeptical that an aftermarket cooler could drop  temps so much. I shouldn't have been... My 560Ti's when both fans on the cards were working correctly, would run at high 70's or greater when running FlH, sometimes even into high 80's! One particular WU runs the cards hot, and the bottom card would hit mid 80's consistently, while the top card had to be declocked to 820MHz to keep temps acceptable. Now, with the AC Cooler, the cards run at about 65C (20C drop ) on the bottom, and around mid to high 80's on the top at 880MHz (keep in mind that this is 100% utilization for many hours non-stop). Switching the cards location from top to bottom made no difference, the top card is just not getting enough cool air to run at the lower temps of the bottom card. I think if you could separate the cards even by one more slot (not an option on my machine), there would be a substantial improvement in temps.Overall, very happy with this purchase, especially since each cooler only cost ~$38+shipping!

Bought as a replacement for my 6870 as the OEM cooler was starting to die. This cooler is huge compared to the stock cooler! I saw my temps drop  by about 14 degrees but the biggest difference was that it no longer sounds like a jet engine starting up while under load...Very happy!

Cons: Needs a base plate for screws like those offered in CPU heatsink/fan combos. Factory applied thermal grease may overlap a lot of GPUs.

Pros: Solid design - the picture doesn't do it justiceVery quiet compared to stock fans
Comment:
One of the fans on my n460gtx hawk died and was making weird noises so I bought this to replace the whole heatsink/fan assembly. Installation was pretty straightforward. I don't overclock my GPU so i didn't add any of the included chip heatsinks. One big qualm i have with the design is that there is no metal back plate included. What i'm referring to is a plate that goes at the back of the card so when you attach the heatsink, the screws have a solid base to grip against and also prevents the card from bending from force of the screws. If you have installed aftermarket CPU heatsinks, you will know what i'm talking about. My GPU board is slightly bent as a result, but there have not been any resulting problems. With the stock fans, the noise produced was pretty loud when the system was running games such as BF3 or CS:GO. But with this Twin Turbo, I don't notice any difference in sound levels between idle and full-load states. Also of note, the factory applied thermal grease may overlap the GPU die. Simply make this thermal grease square smaller by scraping the excess off with a credit card or something flat.

Cons: Thermal glue paste

Pros: Quiet (even at 100% fan speed), low temps
Comment:
Bought this to replace my msi 560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr stock cooler which had died a horrible death in under 6 months. Very quiet compared to the stock fans which sounded like a jet engine at full load. Should really ship with thermal tape for attaching the heatsinks.

Cons: instructions were poorly written

Pros: very quiet dual fans a with substantial temperature drop.
Comment:
I picked up the accelero twin turbo ii to replace the stock fan on my XFX HD6870 which burnt out.The cooler definitely delivered. At idle the GPU went from the 60s to about 43 degrees C. Playing BF3 on High visual settings the card now runs in the high 50s when it used to be in the 80s. I was also quite pleased at how quiet the fans were. when you see two fans you think "damn, the noise is going up". not in this case. Upon first boot up I had to actually look at the fans to make sure they were spinning; I couldn't hear them at first. My only beef were the instructions were not the greatest. very minimal in wording but I suspect that's likely because the manufacturer is overseas in Asia. But, even the visual instruction were mediocre. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Pros: - Very quiet- Inexpensive for the benefits you get- Quality made

I bought this to replace the stock cooler on my XFX 6870 because it sounded like a jet engine when I played any game. Simply having a flash video open would raise the temperature by almost 20C.Stock cooler:45C idle85C max under 100% constant gpu usageTwin Turbo II:33C idle63C max under 100% constant gpu usageThe big thing to note is that the fans make no noise at all for me no matter what I throw at it. I can play Skyrim or Diablo 3 and I won't hear the cooler make any sound. As for the thermal glue -- I had no problems with it. I mixed it for 5 minutes and applied liberal amounts to the necessary chips. I would suggest that if you want to ensure it sticks then wait for more than 5 hours for it to cure. I kept the glue I didn't use on my table and it didn't rubberize until about 12 hours later. That being said -- I installed the cooler after 5 hours curing time and no heatsinks fell off on their own. I accidentally pushed one off because I was trying to fit this massive thing in to my case and so I just stuck it back on and it hasn't fallen off since. The cooler is huge. I have to use onboard sound now because the cooler covers all my PCI slots. I have about a 1 to 2 inch horizontal clearance from the cooler to the hard drive bays in my mid tower case after installing.I think this is one of the best purchases I've ever made for my computer. My computer went from highly audible to dead silent. I'll definitely buy another one of these if I ever have to.

Cons: too big on my motherboard that it blocks the other pcix16 slot

Pros: easy installation, big drops in temperatures
Comment:
Replaced my 6850 fan that broke with this one and my temperature went from 100 degrees load to no higher than 50 degrees with 34 degrees idle. Of course my load is high since the fan broke, I compared it with another system with the same card without the twin turbo II and it was getting 50 degrees idle and 80 degrees load. Overall a great product and would buy another one from Accelero when I need a GPU fan.

Cons: Thermal Glue is a pain but i followed directions to a T and it worked fine and cured in 5 hours as statedthe copper plate on the bottom is kinda small and doesnt even cover the whole GPU chip. i would think having that bigger would help cool it better

Pros: Realy cool idle 30c gaming was around 54c about 25c less then EVGA cooling system.
Comment:
so far its great been using it on my evga GTX 570 2.5g HD this card as a few extra little chips on it that need heat sinks making it a little dificult to place the heatsinks on it or the glue for that matter. will buy thermal tape next time it just be so much easyer. i removed on star just because the directions are pretty sad in box i know they have 680 directions on there site somewhere and well thermal glue. oddly i had a small burning smell the first day not sure if it was my fault the thermal glue or the Artic silver 5 past i put on. eather way it was gone the next day.

Cons: Mounting it on my GTX 680 was a pain, I had to use the 3mm spacers from my AXP II cooler that were not included.

Pros: - Great Cooling Performance- Very Quiet- Arctic Cooling Quality- 6 Years Warranty- Price

Cons: - instructions aren't the best

Pros: - quiet- keeps card cooler then stock
Comment:
Here are some temps comparing the Accelero to the reference fan on my 5870. StockIdle: 45cLoad: 70cAcceleroIdle: 25cLoad: 55cSo far I like the cooler, it keeps my card much cooler then stock as seen above and I can hardly hear it over my case and CPU fans which aren't very loud, even when its at 100%. My only real problem with this cooler are its instructions, they are fine until you have to install the heat sinks on the chips. It only has instructions for a nividia 560 so your left guessing what chips need heat sinks on your card if you have a card other than a 560.In the end I would recommend this card to someone looking for a gpu cooling solution.

Using it on my 570hd sc, one of the few coolers that will fit on a non reference 570. Read alot of reviews and it was highly recommended. Prolly the best cooler for 570hd unless you go water cooling.
