Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 Processor BX80580Q8300I just built a family computer using the Q8300 and it works great. The only drawback as another reviewer pointed out is the mounting system for the CPU cooling fan is terrible. I struggled with it for two hours before cutting off the silly push-n-twist assemblies. I bought four nylon No. 6 bolts 32 thread x 1 inch, which made assembly easy. |

Don't be put off by the fact that it's only 2.5Ghz because you can overclock this CPU (with proper cooling) to 3.4Ghz which is almost overkill. Great CPU for the money. |

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 Processor BX80580Q8300This CPU is amazing, however before you purchase, make sure that your motherboard can not only support Quad Core, but it can also support York field Architecture. The nForce 6 series will not use this cpu, so I went with the 780i, which will allow you to over clock it. My CPU is running at 3.0Ghz without any heat performance issues. |

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 Processor BX80580Q8300Got this for my first build. Installed to asus p5n-d no problem, however the stock cooler was very finnicky to install on that board. got rid of it after a day and installed a OCZ Vendetta. skip on this and just get the CPU and a different cooler.
