I purchased this for a Phemon II X4 develop. The OEM heatsink/fan setup was pathetic. I got this, realizing the value, and like to assume it produced a difference. Possibly it did, maybe it didn't. It performs and the temps are decent. n/a n/a

Does retain the dual core cool. Does not operate well under gaming situations. Does Not maintain processers cool under full load. Get some artic silver, the silver that comes with it is not artic.could use additional contact space.

Does just what it has to and great value. -Mexicans that assembled it believed it would be funny to flip the mounting bracket upside down. So i had to unbolt the fan and flip it. NOT AN Issue and can be performed by everyone dont let it sway you from purchasing it. But please!!! I shouldn't have to do this....its not that complicated of an object to assemble correctly from factory.

inexpensive, and cools cpu's older three-pin energy bought for an APEX MI-008 (N82E16811154091), removed the spacers among the fan and heatsink for a tight place, nevertheless cools a Sempron 2300 dual-core wonderful

Core temp dropped by an typical of 30c on each threads!Inside minutes you'll be pleased with this upgrade. Took as well extended to get right here and went to the post office instead of my door. It still desires the intrusion thread but can't complain too a lot with a good cool cpu that I can play wow class games with again.

No dilemma installing. A breeze.Essentially is heftier than it appears in the photographs. None yet. Temps are holding good. Pre-applied grease is a good touch to save those, who are clearly already getting a budget cooler, getting to lay out some extra dollars.Turned out improved top quality than I anticipated at the cost. *Thumbs up*

Quiet, works fine for CPUs in the 65 Watt variety. Don't use this for 80 or 95 watt chips as it isn't huge sufficient. Best for OEM Athlon x2 or Athlon II CPUs with energy dissipation ranges of 65 W or significantly less. It's not actual costly, complicated or tough to install. The device is configured for AMD use and has the thermal compound applied as received.

Its a stock efficiency replacement. No frills and is affordable. Fantastic if your stock CPU fan goes out like mine did on my Athlon64x2 and you want a affordable stock replacement. Do not take into account this an upgrade. I would never ever overclock with this. That thermal paste is garbage. I wiped it off and applied Arctic Silver 5.

This point has been maintaining my Athlon X2 5000+ at 37-45c.. I have it clocked at 2.9ghz and keep it operating for about 10 hours a day. Functions very properly for a becoming a semi stock unit. I suggest this for any person that only wants to slightly OC their cpu. Very easy to install and the pre-applied grease is a plus! None at all

... This will not maintain an Athlon II Regor cool when playing 1080p video. The heat sink get in touch with is round and covers only about 75% of the cpu surface. The fins are thin (some contacting the cpu) at the stop *and* the side of the cpu. The design in my opinion is fairly poor, mainly due to the cpu speak to and fin design that doesn't cover the complete cpu, but also the fan is smallish and thin (great for slim pc's, but not implemented properly in this case). I had a thermaltake cpu fan on this computer system, but when I transferred it to a thin media computer case(with huge air grilles above and next to the cpu), I had to purchase a new cpu fan - this one - and this worked well till putting it via the paces of the cpu playback of a 1080p HD movie exposed this flaw. Don't feel the hype. five eggs is in no way correct, as my situation proves. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client - We apologize for any inconvenience. Please make contact with us via the Live chat link so we can troubleshoot the issue and collect far more data in regards to the CPU you have. fairly quiet, runs more rapidly or shuts off depending on temps and even at full speed is not extremely loud. The case fan was much noisier so that was replaced....This fan also has the thermal paste applied so no will need to purchase added. I bought an oem chip with no cooling unit and this one particular operates fantastic so far. The CPU is a low watt 45tdp so a small fan is just fine. the temp monitor seldom goes above typical, so it's cooled nicely. you may need something bigger if you are cooling a six core CPU but then that would have a fan in the box most probably. This was component of an effort to revive an old personal computer trying to keep below a hundred. Did not pan out so the new board, CPU, recertified tough drive, just one gig of memory are happily in a new case and operating Ubuntu. Reused the old cd rom, monitor, power supply, tough drive, mouse, keyboard. Very good back up. spent about 1 fifty so very pleased.

Incredibly uncomplicated to install. I've installed a couple of AMD heatsinks prior to and they are all straightforward but this 1 went on with no a single dilemma. My CPU runs a small hotter than I'd like it to but hey, you get what you spend for Installed it on to a Phenom II X3 720 which was unlocked to a quad-core and it runs around 48-53 degrees which is decent i feel.
