Cons: None.

Pros: Works great.

I dropped this in as a replacement for my Thomson ADSL modem when it crapped out. I've used D-Link routers and switches before and their ADSL modem didn't disappoint.

I bought this modem because i was looking for something cheap. The main reason for me to want Internet was to play COD Modern Warfare 2 for the PS3. This modem does not communicate on the right ports for this game to work online. Other than that, just browsing and streaming netflix this modem worked fine.

Dumped the ISP router for this one. It's working great. Had a little difficulty bridging it with my Linksys N-Router ... the key was to first connect directly through the router then convert that connection to a bridge (creating a bridge first didn't work).

ISP: Bell Sympatico (aka: Bel FIBE ) Country : Canada Pros : works as stated Cons : difficult to setup unless you are a techie. Dont expect Dlink customer service to be very knowledgable if you are having difficulties, I speoke with 4 agents and none could tell me how to make the darn thing into modem only.. Result: in the end i finally figured it out on my own with some assistance from a more technical memeber of my family. wrote Dlink customer service a letter to tell them how crappy their customer service was at tech support.

This is one of those products that you have to know what you're buying. There is no router in this modem which means, no NAT (IP addresses will come from ISP-not the modem) and very little isolation from the ISP. I didn't fully understand this before I bought this and I was burned. Even knowing the limitations, I can't get it to work with my ISP (Verizon). The VPI and VCI setting are correct. Verizon says it's the modem, the tech support says it's Verizon. At $50, I don't think it's worth returning. This one is going in the trash and I'm paying extra for a Linksys-with a router!

Good modem, work nice but you must bridge it on your router. With the firewall close i've never found a way to go on all the website i wanted to. Bridge it and use your router, it will work nicely.

I suppose this is more a Centurytel issue than a modem issue as they discovered, after much back and forth, that the problem was theirs. They had to send a tech to get it working and had to isolate the DSL line from the phone line - not with filters, I mean a separate connection. D-Link tech support was pretty much useless as were most of the Centurytel techs. Lesson - keep calling until you find one that knows what they are talking about. If you have any knowledge at all, it becomes pretty clear, pretty quick that you are either talking to someone who knows their stuff or someone who is clueless and is reading from a cheat sheet.

Excellent product, after replaceing my crappy modem this modem has worked solid without a single reset since I bought it last year. The only reason I reduced the rateing slightly is because the configuration interface is slightly confusing (and I'm a technical person) but definitly has all the options you may need. Reutrning again to buy another one for my Father (who is replacing the cheap provider given one)

I bought this product to replace a modem that lacked the power needed to maintain upstream sync. This one works much better for my long loop length(about 3.5 miles). As for the web interface page, it is their usual clunky look and feel, but has sufficient options to accomadate most every user. It also has a on off button on the back of the unit, which is handy for some. Considering what phone companies want to charge for their basic modem this one is easy to recommend.

2 complaints and it is that you have to be sitting at the computer with hypertuerminal open and wait for an incoming phone call to have a friend or work dial into your computer. D-Link wouldnt offer support with out a user name and password for which means they wouldnt help out setting up a or trouble shooting the first situation. But other than that it does what it is suppossed to and dial out and connect to the ISP.

Two problems: (1) D-Link tech support 3) unable to get it working to the point of being able to surf the web with either IE or FireFox. (2) In addition many of the features I selected it for (firewall etc.) that are listed in the description and/or D-Link's user manual do not exist, and D-Link denies that they ever did. Rated ''1'' only because there is no zero. Highly *NOT* recommended.

This modem works with BellSouth (AT&T Southeast) FastAccess DSL (replaces a Motorola 2210-02-1006). Here is all the info I needed to manually config the modem: Default IP Address = 192.168.1.1, VPI = 8, VCI = 35, Network Protocol = PPPoE, Login = username@bellsouth.net and password, Authentication Method = CHAP. The site dslreports.com is a great resource to help config the modem on various networks. -BTW- You can change the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) on the network interface controller instead of the modem. If you have an MTU of 1492 (or lower) on the NIC you could run an MTU of 50,000,000 bytes on the router and the largest packet ever sent to the internet would still only be 1492. I used DrTCP from dslreports.com/drtcp to change this setting.

I decided to write this review because I am looking for a new modem and saw this item still being sold. I bought this several years ago and have since run it 24/7/365 (although internet usage was only about 20% of that time). It was my second dlink modem in 4 years that consequently failed. For $100 (what I paid originally), I would hope a modem would last more than 2 years. While I have a suspicion that dlink uses planned obsolescence, I have been using a dlink router for 5+ years with no problems. My first dlink dsl modem 'expired' 2 months after the warranty ended. And now this one. I do not feel the rate of investment is worth it.

Worked perfectly. I bought this to replace the Motorola DSL modem that AT&T supplied a year or two ago when I first signed up for their service. To install it I just plugged it into the computer using the network cable, plugged the filtered phone line into that port, pulled up the web interface in my browser (the default IP address and login are printed conveniently on the back), and entered my DSL username and password to connect. Took about 5 minutes and has been up for two weeks now with no issues. Shipping took about 2-3 days for the product to arrive.

Easy set up with SBC DSL. Just entered my username and pass. I have about 20 systems+ running on it with no issues. RT*M before you install it and you shouldn't any problems. =)

This modem works very well for me, thoocumentation is poor, setup software is confusing. Some tips to help avoid setup problems: - Power up and connect to your DSL phone line, wait for a solid green on 'DSL', indicating that the modem has locked in to your DSL signal. - For a typical phone company DSL signal, you can probably just use the Wizard, using 'DSL Auto-connect'. - If it says you can connect using PPPoE, a typical DSL connection method, then you will need to enter your username/password. This is the one given you by your DSL service provider; in my case, the same as is used by the POP mail server, account login, webmail, etc. - If you need to make changes, go to WAN, and select 'WAN Setup'; click on the 'Edit' button and make changes. IMPORTANT - when finished editing, it looks like it is 'done'; however, new settings aren't applied until you click 'Finish' to apply/reset modem.

When I got this modem and connected it to my network, it was fine. The setup was a little goofy but it worked. Then I noticed that I could only get to some websites and not others. This is an MTU setting issue. I went to change the MTU and there was no option. I called D-Link and they said that it was built-it and could not be changed. So now I have a useless modem.

Bought this from Tigerdirect. Have a hardtime at first installing but soon I realized that my Norton Internet Security Software is the culprit. As soon as I switch-off the auto-protection, Boom, the installation wizard runs without a hitch and automatically connected me to my ISP. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this modem to replace my D-Link DSL-3001 modem that was continually disconnecting. Once I had the new modem installed it would not connect.(The DSL-2320B is configured by using your browser)So I called tech help and after a lot of configuring of IP addresses, etc., I was put on hold for advanced technical help.So I hung up.If I should ever have to reload Windows at some point, then I'll need technical help every time to configure my modem? B.S. My old modem configured by plugging the wires in to it, and clicking connect. Why not this one? Save yourself a lot of trouble and buy another brand.(Ignore the star rating)

After I installed the D-Link wireless router DIR-655 I started getting disconnects and cable unplugged messages which I never had before using my wired router. After watching this for a while I notice that this always seemed to occur when either the phone rang or someone picked up the phone. I finally decided to replace the modem. I had a Speedstream 5100B from SBC which worked fine otherwise. I benchmarked the Speedstream prior to making the replacement and after to see if there was a performance upgrade. I got nearly identical results. The good news is the pesky disconnects are now gone. Setup was relatively easy but for anyone using a router you need to set this up to work in bridge mode. People ask whether this will work with their ISP and my guess after having set this up I can say it probably would. If you set this for a single computer you can enter your user name and password to always stay connected. In bridge mode, the router does this function.
