Hooked up a family members room Pc to a 61" DLP Tv. Image is good, for Windows, Linux and gaming. Due to the fact the cable finish now has a added length, it could vibrate out over time, so screw it in. Appears like a top quality solution. |

Really hard to come across this pin configuration. Read the cons for why. Doesn't perform with DVI-D cables. No video, but X.org does detect monitor kind. Wanted to use my DVI cables to connect DVI output to VGA monitor. Apparently that is a uncommon and flawed configuration. If you encounter this circumstance, stick with a VGA cable (RGB) and use the DVI->DB15 adapter that comes with your card rather. |

Yes I must have taken the other evaluations to heart, but they didn't mention the firm that the monitor I was employing, so I didn't know if maybe that monitor would function with this or not. Functions like it is supposed to... none I think some of the unfavorable reviews are for individuals who may not be positive what they are trying to do. if you have a video card with dvi out and a monitor that is 15 pin d-sub or vga then you plug this piece into the video card then plug the vga cord to the monitor. |

inexpensive? I wanted to use this with my DVI monitor and DVI KVM switch. I could not get the monitor to pick up a signal either directly connected or by means of the KVM switch. The video supply was onboard Intel chip. |

Good price for converting your VGA output to DVI-A. Negative description as many seem confused. This does NOT convert from an analog VGA to digital DVI-D, which would have been nice. Note: this is utilised to convert from VGA (your D-Sub)to DVI-A. If your cables or monitor do not support DVI-A or DVI-I this will not operate for you! Check your monitor & cables, a lot of only have DVI-D which will not perform with this device! |
does what its supposed to do. its just an adaptor, not like it could be negative. I use this on my laptop that has a hookup for VGA (monitor out put). i use a samsung 22" lcd that is DVI. works flawlessly. none couldnt find this adaptor at the retailer. they had the reverse deal, to run a VGA monitor on a DVI video card. I necessary this for when i do graphic work but need the 22" LCD monitor vs my 15" notebook screen. also use it carrying out modest presentations at work. very good deal and good cost.
