I dare to write a review after only 1 hour using these. I paid 73.99 cnd for these and they are being shipped back today, the same day I unpacked them. After 10 minutes wearing them I got cramps in my cheeks because of the tight fit and I can't make them any wider, I feel my ears are going to hurt as well if I wear them any longer. The sound is not very clear but I will give it loud and the 5.1 effect works. I can not get any good recording out of the microphone. With recording volume high, all I get is a weak recoding with a high static in any communication program I've tried, with lower volume I don't get anything, just static. This often happens with 15 dollar headsets but it should not be an issue with a 70 dollar one. The configuration software is more pretty than practical and I noticed it had some horrible reverb effect on by default destroying any music I tried to listen to.

Good things about this headset: Pretty good sound quality, force feedback feature is cool, USB so if you don't have a good sound card it doesn't matter. Cons: Force feedback when turned on causes a distinct buzzing sound to be heard in the headphones while it's going, which was REALLY annoying to me. It wasn't there when you turned force feedback off, but without the force feedback, the bass sound was pretty weak.

I would definitely recommend this product to everyone who enjoys gaming and watching videos where you want to experience the sound like you are actually there. The only bad thing is that they do get hot if you have them on for a while. Other than that they are amazing!!! Excellent for ONLINE GAMING like FSX and Battlefield 2!!!

I read these reviews before I purchased thought it seemed amazing, first off for those people who didnt read it thoroughly this is USB ( I should of read that, I wouldnt have bought it..) I installed drivers, and demo program I currecntly have crackling in the background periodically when listening to music, my friends on ventrilo say that it sounds like theres a ton of BASS from my microphone( a constant high hummm in the background)..basically do NOT by these..im going to try and return mine as I bought them about a month ago.

I want to like these very much. The quality of sound is excellent, and I love that the EQ dips in the 30 hz range. However some features of the software are disabled which do not allow full use of the 5.1. The design looks are great but the construction and some of the material is extremely poor. There is no metal frame connecting the ear phones to the head band. This has allowed the earphones to easily snap off with regular use, plastic on the headband is also totally cracked right around just above the earphones. After a few months the volume became badly unbalanced. Sorry but I would not try this brand again unless they make them much more sturdy and make the software totally functional.

This headset is a nice piece of hardware and I have experienced nothing but the best quality in sound. I play an online game and it made it sound so nice, it felt like I was surrounded by a real world. Music sounds unreal, you will not believe how good this headset is until you try it. Very comfortable as well and the mic works extremely well with Teamspeak. AWESOME PRODUCT!

The sound quality was very good with a few crackles. When I updated the software from the website it got better. Unfortunately, after a month, the microphone quit working. I expected that for the price the quality would be a bit better.

Complete Ownage in gamer terms! The headset is a steal for that price! Great quality, nice comfortable fit (even if u have a huge head), everything works just fine, and the software that comes with the headset makes the sound even better! If your a gamer on a budget or not, definitely go with this awesome set of headphones! Also all the people that complain about crackly sound or the drivers not working, read the manual, u have to use the same USB port when first installed for things to work fine! And if you have crackly sound turn of the force feedback, because at high sound levels it causes the speakers to shake which produces the crackly sound!

They are made very sturdy.The force feedback works as intended.No mic problems.I did not install the driver,as they cause for 5.1 to not show up on my PC.If you can hear yourself through the mic then install the drivers and it will eliminate this problem.No crackling through speakers and are very powerful.The only problem i have is that they sound muffled,and the ''highs'' sound like crap and there is no evidence of 5.1 sound at all.For a regular set of gaming headphones they are fine.Just don't expect theater sound (5.1).

Upon receipt the LED's didn't work. The software accompanying the headset did not match the manual. I get a buzzing sound frequently. The headset fits too tight on my head and make my head and ears hurt. Five days ago the left ear piece broke off. It is not nearly rugged enough for a gamer. There is no fixing it and I am an electronic tech. They use a 22 gauge wire to the ear piece and the insulation rubbed off in sections when the ear piece broke. All in All this is a crappy set of headphones. Don't buy!!!

Best Headset ever. Great sound and was easy to set up. Gaming was not the same after I used this headset. Every foot step and every bullet wizzed by my head. Would recommend this head set to anyone.

My second pair of headphones that I would class as ''Gaming'' grade. Good sound, comfortable, and plug and play makes these headphones a must need for any gamer.

Good headset, very comfortable. Have been using it about a month now. No serious problems. After the first 2 weeks, it started giving a slight buzz from time to time. A little annoying, but I still like the headset. I wear glasses and can have this headset on through hours of gaming in one sesion and it's still comfortable, something I can't say about most headsets.

I've had this headset for almost a week now. From my experience it is a very good headset. They're comfortable to wear and the sound and microphone quality is good. The force feedback makes explosions in games very powerful. Unfortunately I can't say anything good about the software that came with the headset. The software actually ruins the headset. When I had the software installed I couldn't get the microphone loud enough for anything useful and the software kept adding unnecessary sound effects to the audio playback. It was actually severely filtering out footsteps in FarCry which of course is important to be able to hear. Now that I uninstalled the software though, the headset works excellent. The mic is now loud and clear and I can hear everything I need to hear. So I would highly recommend NOT installing the software with this headset.

The FX Pro 5+1 looks great, and is ruggedly constructed. The USB plug&play was truely that. The force feedback sound was better that any headset I had ever tried. The only problem is that the microphone sent a flood of static via VOIP with an on-line game I was playing. THE OTHER PLAYERS HATED ME AND KICKED ME OFF. So, being the forgiving type (and the killer sound), I'm sending it back for an exchange. If it works I'll let you know, and if it does not - I'll really let you know.

I got my audio fx headset over a month late, they deliverd it to the post office without leaving a letter. My bass sound goes all fuzzy when i listen to bass with the feedback on, the microphone hardly works, even with weeks with adjusting microsoft sound settings, and the headband gets incredibly painful to wear if you wear them for more than an hour. I know it isn't just my headset, because i got another set due to the late arrival, which i have to give back. The sound quality is clear just like the other pair but when you put the force feedback on it has an annoying fuzzy noise that the bass produces. Not worth what i paid for it, might actually send it back. I expected better. :(

I would have to say this headset is kick ass. The sound is very powerfull. You will not be able to turn this up to max without hurting you ears. Ears completly covered so max sound. They block out alot of outside sound. For the price you cant go wrong. Cant wait to see how it performs at the lan in a couple days.

This headset has great sound, fantastic design and voice goes out great. BUT if you do not put it back in the exact same USB after moving it for any reason you cannot bring the software back up to adjust it. I have tried everything to get around this and cannot. I would recommend this headset but don't move or change it's USB port.

These are some of the best headphones I've ever used. I got them for playing WoW, but use them for music and movies too. They are very comfortable and the force feedback adds to the already outstanding bass. I can hear things in games now that I didn't know was there. It's seeing the difference in upgrading built-in video to a high end graphics card, only for your ears.

Just got this headset today. Shipping was all right, ordered them on Sunday came in Thursday. The sound is surprisingly clear and crisp. I'd say that they challenge my Bose headphones. The mic is very clear. i got this headset for use with FS2004 but listening to music and watching movies is just as great. Great product. Worth every dollar.

OMG This is The Best HeadSet i have ever had. This brings the game to real life , u feel like u are in the game, the vibrations are awsome, and the force Feedback i have never seen something like this, I would recommend this for all Players, not only for players but if u like to listen to music it's better than my 2.1 surround its feels great, im on my pc for 15 hours and i can't get out feels good heheh... 1 to 10 i give 10..
