It is a great case. Works perfectly everything is nice quality. They need to find a way closing up the case that doesn't use tiny self tapping screws into plastic. No matter how careful the installer they tend to strip rather than tighten. Also the case does not support the end of the drive away from the connector as does my non-ESATA case. |

Same idea as the other unit I own, EC-UST25, but this one has the eSATA port too. 2.5 enclosures are easy to set up and have no power supplies... works for me! |

I recently bought an Ultra e-Sata enclosure, and was very happy with it. However it was not currently available when I needed another, so I tried this one instead. I regret it. Just installed a new HDD in this enclosure. The side screw holes that are normally used to secure the drive inside the enclosure are instead used to attach the end-caps of the enclosure. Therefore, there is nothing to secure the HDD. Basically the friction of the internal connector is all there is supporting the HDD. I gentle shake the enclosure and can hear the HDD flopping around inside. Not good. Yeah, it works. But I'll be traveling with this. I don't trust it to protect my HDD, and I'll be replacing it. |
this product is good price. it did not work when it move. it get hot if plug in for long period of time. It had eSATA but did not come with eSATA cable. Waste money to buy extra calbe.
