Cons: Expensive

Pros: StylishFeels solidBacklit keys with Wireless!Battery life isn't bad
Comment:
SummaryThis keyboard looks great, feels like it'll last a long while, and the battery life isn't that bad considering it's a backlit wireless keyboard. The customizable numpad is a nice touch, but you can't change the pictures on the custom screen even though it's an LCD screen.I've been using it for a HTPC, so a wireless and backlit keyboard is perfect for me. It's really annoying that it's so hard to find one thought. This one was a bit pricey, but it was the only thing I found that would fit my needs. The trackball mouse is a bit annoying to use at times, but I think after a while you get used to it, and since I'm using it with a HTPC, the mouse isn't really that important so I can live with it.Overall, I love this keyboard, I just wish it would've be a little cheaper.

Cons: Battery Issues, poor range.

Pros: Lights up, easy to find in the dark. Slider for the volume.
Comment:
It's a good keyboard if you get it cheap. The lights are bright and typing is easy. the different keypads are useful on my HTPC.My first unit had a stuck key and NCIX switched it for me, but over the past few months the battery has been very inconsistent. The battery gauge on the display always says it's full.Recently it completely stopped working for a few days then mysteriously started working again just as I was about to mail it back. I expect it will stop working permanently not long after the mfr. warranty expires.I paid $50 for this, I think it was too much, but I would probably buy it again if it was $20 or $30. Definitely not worth the original $150 price.

Cons: Not sure how to allow it to Wake pc after sleep mode.

Pros: Works incredibly well, super easy setup and works right off the bat.
Comment:
Using it as my media pc keyboard and I dont think i couldve found anything better, if this wasnt on sale I still would buy it. If anyone knows how to allow this to wake the pc msg me , would make the keyboard 100% amazing haha.

Cons: the reception is bad and touch keypad presses random keys when power is plugged into the keyboard

Pros: Light, compact, and volume controls are useful
Comment:
My desktop is connected to my TV in the living room so I need to use a wireless keyboard. The keyboard is just 6 feet away from the receiver and I made sure nothing obstructs the connection in between, but sometimes it just disconnects for no reason. Sometimes it's really bothering me when I'm typing because when the reception gets cut off, it's the same as holding down a key. So instead of typing "ncix," I get something like "nciiiiiiiiiiix." Also, when I plug the power into the keyboard without pressing the key that locks the keypad, it keeps on pressing one of the keys. I forgot to lock the keypad one night and the next day it opened the same webpage so many times that it crashed my new desktop that's running phenom II.When it's not acting weird, it's a decent keyboard.

Cons: No possibility of using usb cable instead of wireless

Pros: Very nice thin wireless keyboard with nice features
Comment:
Bought this as a special price of 29.99$ for my HTPC. So far, it works great for that purpose with the included trackball and the numeric pad which can be used as well for multimedia control (Windows Media Center and Youtube). You can't get wrong with this one but it's not as nicer as the Logitech Dinovo Edge.

Cons: battery doesnt last long, trackball is too small and not precise enough, and when I plug it in it keeps making clicking noises as if your changing the volume and when I type it adds tons of periods so typing goes like so ........da............v.............i............d works fine when not plugged in.

Pros: cheap, very convenient, feels likes its built to last
Comment:
worth it if you get it on sale wouldnt pay more than 30$. Only reason I got this was because it was on sale and I only use it for typing online when im laying on the couch, I would recommend this for uses like that if your a gamer i wouldnt recommend this keyboard because it doesnt support wired mode for reasons unknown to me.

Comment:
I recall it was once on sale for $19.99, I regret that I did not get this for that price. Doesnt mean $39.99 isnt a good deal, though. It still is an OK wireless keyboard to use on a HTPC.Like I have mentioned on Cons, although it does function with wireless, it is somewhat unreliable when I connect wireless receiver at the back of my HTPC. I thought it shouldnt matter, but it did. When I connect it at the front side, it works pretty well. When I connect this keyboard with wire to charge, there is no way to completely turn off the LED, which is frustrating. I try to turn this thing off, it wont. After I finish charging, I have to disconnect it then turn if off.trackball isnt too precise, but its not impossibly hard to use when you get used to it. It took me about an hour or so for me to get used to this.Touchpad seems nice, and its nice to see a software that allows me to program some of the touchpad keys, but I find myself almost never use the touchpad. Its somewhat hard to "press" the keys, and most of the time, I can usually use my keyboard hotkeys instead. So its almost useless, but it makes it look fancy. The keystrokes feel just like most other pentagraph keyboards, not extremely better, but not extremely worse, either.when you turn this keyboard on, you feel seconds of lag as it needs to connect to the computer every time you turn it off or put it on sleep mode.after listing all these, It looks as if this keyboard is actually pretty bad, but its not. I think it is one of the best wireless keyboard you can get for this price (~$40). It looks sleek, and the trackball makes this keyboard a perfect match with a HTPC. I just hope this keyboard lasts at least few years.

Cons: - if you pay full price i doubt you would think it was worth it- the mouse ball is hard to control. there is no way you can do anything precise with it.

Pros: - typing feels great- touch screen is very cool. the ability to control your music and activate different apps is very convenient.- it was charge, plug and play essentially. no problems with connection or drivers- includes a usb cord as well. even if the wireless magically had a problem the keyboard can still be used just as before with the usb cord. im extremely glad they included it. some of my other wireless devices are not so consider and are left dead if the wireless fails.
Comment:
amazing deal for $40. so many features, by far the most advanced keyboard ive ever owned. id add to my cons that i got mine on sale and i didnt even know it had a mouse ball so it was more a pleasant surprise.

I would not pay full price for this keyboard. I only paid $40.00 which I think is a great price seeing as it is backlit. The LCD numpad is just a gimmick.

Cons: Track ball is too smallTouch num pad can take some getting used toRandom connection loss, short range

Pros: Pretty illuminationLight weightKeys feel good
Comment:
Was looking for something for home theatre pc. Keys are nice to press, and pretty when lit up. However, the track ball is far too small for any precision use, on top of being plastic so it just doesn't respond as well (undesired movements when doing something precise).Additionally, the range seems to be pretty low, as my connection would start to drop  at around 12 feet. Finally, when hooked up within a few feet of the PC, I've had it randomly drop  connection and have to turn ti off for a few seconds and back on to reestablish a connection. Not a bad deal on sale, but never pay full price. $150? bahahaha

Cons: Only operates in wireless mode with dongle, micro usb cable for power only.Track ball is ok, no scroller and feels loose. Audible plastic friction, looks solid enough to last however. The clickers are ok as well, not fantastic for a board priced high.

Pros: Bright white on black LCD Panel 2 additional LCD shortcut screens along with the Num PadEasy to use master volume control Most shortcuts can be customized but not the icons or display
Comment:
I bought this on sale for 20$. After reading the mixed reviews, I though I could use this as a wired usb keyboard and forget the battery issues. However it only runs wireless. This makes this less appealing for a gaming setup but still good for work setup in my music studio. As a wireless keyboard it might miss the mark for its original price range and thats why I will rate it 3 stars. At this price drop  point, its a very very very nice keyboard.

Cons: Touchscreen goes unresponsive intermittently, requiring the keyboard to be unplugged and plugged back in.

Pros: Thin, light, well lit, lots of features.
Comment:
I got this on sale for $29.99 and at that price this is a smoking deal. The keys are well lit and the touch screen is very functional. The device also looks professional and has a nice riveted accent on the bottom. You can customize everything very easily with their software, but since I abandoned the archaic optical drive I had to dig quite a bit to find downloadable software (apparently Saitek creates a different website for every product line up instead of one centralized one). When this keyboard is working its actually quite nice, but the touch pad freezes at random and requires the device to be restarted. I will see if I can get an RMA to fix this issue but otherwise, assume that this is a known and unfixed issue. That being said, if you can get this on sale jump on the deal! Here is a link to the software download:http://eclipsetouch.com/support.htm

Cons: LCD pad too sensitive and not good for continious typing.

Pros: Stylish, track ball works well
Comment:
I bought the keyboard for its price and to how it would work with my htpc since I hated using the mouse on the sofa. The key are ok and the track ball works really well but I am not happy with the lcd pad. For the sale price its a good board but would never pay the retail price for it. I haven't used it long enough to see if the battery will last the recommended time.

Cons: Very bad battery lifeNon-adjustable sensitivity on keypad

Pros: Stylish keyboardCool adjustable backlit keyNifty multipurpose programmable keypad
Comment:
I got this keyboard on sale, and I although it is a very attractive looking, high tech keyboard, I'm quite disappointed by the battery life considering it is supposed to be a wireless keyboard. It spends most of its time plugged in charging. It is certainly not worth anything close to full price with such a short battery life.On the plus side, the backlit keys are quite nice and easily readible plus the programmable keypad is a convenient. The tiny trackball works, but it just doesn't feel that smooth controlling the pointer for some reason. I have a couple of Logitech Edge keyboards, and their batteries last for about a month with daily usage. The Saitek keyboard might last a day or two if I'm lucky. What's worse is that after it wakes up from "sleep mode" it forgets the brightness level setting previously set so even if you turned it down to save on battery power, the next use will be at full brightness. If you don't mind switching back to a backup keyboard while waiting for the Eclipse to charge, then this keyboard might be for you. Personally, I wish I hadn't bought it in the first place!

I bought the keyboard for living room mediabox for PC.with windows 7 & vista. I encountered no bugs very easy to configure the keyboard, the LCD works well when the apartheid my keyboard in standby mode (to save battery) wait a few seconds when the keyboard is activated. The trackball works very well (in win7 works great) (vista meet some bug susceptibility variant) not very useful to use a mouse. making the keyboard is good. very nice keyboard half a coffee table! XD good keyboard for the personal use.If I recommend a keyboard. yes I will recommend it to other people.

Cons: Poor response when using trackball, repeatitive finger movement trying to get mouse pointer across screen.

Pros: Three programmable page choices on LED number pad, backlit board, responsive key entry, profiling for gaming joysticks.
Comment:
Rather impressive keyboard, have tried numerous others and found this one to be tops thus far. Initial attraction was the sale price and overall looks. Definate requirement was a well lit board, something easy on the eyes. The programmagble 3 page LED num pad is a great added bonus. Battery has performed very well thus far going into auto standby when not in use. not too happy with the overall performance of trackball but it was needed nor expected so it doesn't matter that much but goes to a 4 star rating for that alone. I would have no second thoughts on recommending to a friend.

Cons: Battery life is terrible, keyboard is far too sensitive, poorly designed keyboard layout, trackball is completely useless.

Pros: Looks very nice, and is wireless. Probably will last a long time.
Comment:
This keyboard certainly looks impressive. It's stylish, backlit and wireless, so it will look fancy on any desk. The shine starts to wear off once you realize that it is unlikely to last 8 hours on a charge, so if you're using it for, say, work, you'll need to either switch keyboards or use the USB cable to charge while using it. Naturally, this defeats the purpose of a wireless keyboard. There are other issues. Some of the key, notably the escape key, are ridiculously sensitive, and the repeat rate is excessive. Barely grazing the key registers a keypress, or, often, 3 or 4 keypresses. Sometimes the keyboard will stop working entirely, but usually comes back to life if you power it off and on. Problems are compounded by the bad keyboard layout; there is no space between the cursor and enter keys and the PgUp, PgDn and End keys. This can mean your cursor will end up somewhere completely other where you would expect it to because you have made a slip of about .5mm.The LED MFD is a great idea, but nearly useless because there is a noticeable delay between tapping a key and having it register. Most annoying is the trackball. I have limited desk space, and the trackball should have been a poor but acceptable substitute. The trackball on the keyboard is completely useless. The sensitivity ranges dramatically from minute to minute, and it will stop working for long periods of time. It's nearly impossible to move the cursor to where you would like it to be, and still harder to drag or perform any sort of complicated action. On the plus side, the keyboard seems very solid, and will likely last for years. Which is unfortunate, because you will undoubtedly have a strong desire to throw it in the garbage.Given the issues around this product, I would have no difficulty recommending any other keyboard but this one.
