Comment:
It has both 3 and 4 pin connectors and is super quiet, not louder than my hard drives. What more could a person want? Also is a pretty cool colour. Could see you having a matte black case with the yellow accents. Really nice. This review was modfied by poster @ 08-09-13 02:17 PM

Pros: Very quiet, easy setup
Comment:
The rubber mounts make the fan really quiet, and easy to setup. Great airflow.

Cons: Not sure if it's moving enough air and therefor making my components heat up higher than with my previous and louder fan... I'm not about to swap fans again to vaguely test the heat levels with my hand though...

Pros: Really quiet to the point that if you still hear noise coming from your PC, it's definitely not caused by this fan...
Comment:
12DBA! What can you expect in terms of air flow at that sound level? Probably the minimum to average and that's what I've seemed to notice... Other fans move more air, but I doubt they do it at only 12DBA... I just realized that I still have an older Antec 3-speed fan (or 2?) that I could always replace it with if ever heat/airflow seems to become a real problem (I should have swapped it in before buying the SilentX but forgot I had it/them until just now)... Anyways, it's cooling my living room HTPC that was annoyingly loud prior to the fan upgrade (to the point where I can even lower the volume now!). It consists of mostly old and/cheap parts anyway so if ever they die, could I really blame just the fan? The HTPC is installed in my teak HDTV cabinet with only one open surface (ie. the doors being open) so it makes cooling even more of a challenge for any fan. Parts dying would also justify me performing a wife-approved repair/upgrade- probably modo, HDD or CPU and those are my bottlenecks anyway... Even my wife noticed a difference! Now that's saying quite a lot, considering I spent $5K+ on a sound proof room in our basement and she hardly notices a difference when I play my drums from before!I'm strongly considering replacing my HTPC's 80mm fan with another SilentX now...That's why I gave it 4 stars... I would have given it 5 stars if I felt the CFM rating was not exagerated.Bottom line, you buy this fan for noise levels and not airflow, but it is a good balance between the two none-the-less and I recommend it if that's what you're looking for. If it's still not cooling your PC enough, look into reducing the cause of the heat or other cooling methods/components (ie. replacing a HDD with a SSD, water cooling, other fans, relocating your PC to allow for better external airflow/less obstruction, etc.)

Pros: Very QuietLooks amazingGreat quality and build
Comment:
I have all types of fans and I purchased three of these from past experience with SilenX and I thought these would be just as good but I was wrong because they are the best ones I have ever had! So under rated for the amount of noise to quality. I have Noctua ones and these are just as quiet or even quieter than the Noctua ones.
