After discovering that the primary problem was the Engenius board in my desktop, I discovered I had a funtinal wireless network with my NetBook. Be sure to clear your browser history before accessing the Access Point's home page otherwise resets etc. won't mean much. Documentation lacks information like what exactly the internal Vs. the external antenna is or when to use either. Power injector connection not labeled the same in the manual but picture shows enough to properly surmise the correct hookup. |

Currently setup inside a window facing the barn where we needed to push the signal to. Works across a distance of approximately 2 km. Does not penetrate sheet-metal barn walls--however that doesn't really surpise. I put a repeater in the window of the barn and we're good to go. The instructions are a bit vague, but basically all you need to know is that you plug the device into a router and it acts as a DHCP forwarder, meaning it keeps all the DHCP IP addresses assigned by your router. All in all en excellent product. |

setup and initial testing went without a problem. was installed inside a media cabinet in a wall and uses external antenae. excellent range. POE is a great addition....one less wall wart(power adapter) needed inside an already craped space. |

i buy this product bcos i thing it gonna contain DHCP but it did not . but the wireless conctivity is amazy bcos it have sensitivty -95 which is can be better nless u get atheros chipsit with -97 dbm and when u open the browser u gonna see the transmit power is 24db which is more than 200mw .. so what i do is bring dlink router dir615 and put the EOC1650 from the other side about 50 meter away out of the house and i have -60 dbm signal |

Just like other EnGenius products: works well. Documentation and support are ok too. This is the best value for a wireless bridge. Also noticed that latest firmware includes WDS support, but need to confirm if works yet. The included window suction cups are an excellent idea even if only for initial configuration mounting. |
Not impressed at all. Not user friendly. They more or less state that it is ready out of the box. Not!
