Installed with XP, replacing a lyksis card. Works great but signal is a little weak. Added an external antenna and have had no problems since. Signal went from 12mps to 54mps and strong.

I updated to windows 7 and needed a new wireless card that ran on the 64bit system. This card works like a charm. Connected right away and never looses a signal. I would recommend this as a great buy.

I just received this adapter a couple of days ago and was very impressed with how easily it installed with windows, just plug into the PCI slot and go. I was quickly disappointed though when I found out how buggy it is. First the software dramatically slows down your computer (even on mine with 3.2 GHz quad core and 6Gb DDR3 memmory). Next, the signal is extremely weak, even with the router in the next room. Finally, the signal fails regularly and takes several minutes to come back. I no trouble maintianing a signal from the same router on my laptop, even as far as the back yard. Will be returning this today... Do not be fooled by the current high rating that this device has, as I was -- this is not quality manufacturing, returning and exchanging for another brand is a hassle, don't waste your time.

Great item! Bought it at an excellent price, put it in very easily, and windows 7 did the rest. Its just awesome. It detects networks that didnt even come up with my other computers and it gets a solid good connection. This is a good adapter for $30 and i would reccomend it to anyone.

The card plugged in, installed, and works fast. Not much of a big deal to configure either. Thanks. I got 2.

the adapter helps me connect to a cheap freebie router on the second floor. wheres my old g adapter could barely hold 2 bars this holds at a solid 3 bars according to the control software it came with and five bars according to xp's control software. on another note, the adapter MUST have the control software installed if xp (or earlier windows os) is used or the os will bsod on access point connection. i suppose this is most likely due to some features the adaptor uses that the native xp wireless controller software is not compatible with (at least for me this was the case). interestingly enough, windows 7 does not have this issue as it apparently has updated wireless controller software and also recognized the device completely on its own. i would not know about vista though as i did not test it on vista (no real reason other than i didn't feel like it)

I had problems installing this adapter. Not sure why though. Could have been faulty PCI slots or something but in the end I was able to get it to work. However, it barely picks up a connection. My wireless router was right below and the PC was above. Not a single bar. It could be my Netgear router...as someone else also complained about the same issue. I thought is would pick up more range since it was extended range, but I was wrong. Most people liked it and it worked for them so I would get it ONLY if you don't have a netgear wireless router.

this was worth the price for a 108Mbs only problem is that it wants to diconect every once and awail im not shure if it is the wireless adapter my netgear wireless router or someone makeing a phone call. But it only did that for the first 2 days. Could of even been my xbox 360's adapter dont know any way i like it.

Easy install and set up. Once installed, the card works seamlessly and well. I have been enjoying my desktop wireless connection for a couple of months now, without having to give it a passing thought. Thank you Engenius.

I am using it in Windows 7. I had troubles in Vista Home Premium, it was connecting to the network, but no Internet. I upgraded to Windows 7 and works like a charm, never dropped connection and great signal. Vista is just bad. The card is great !

Sorry about your Vista experience, but it is literally "plug & play" in Linux Mint 6 - it runs the chipset with the atheros module (Ath0). (15 seconds tops to be up & running on my install) My only complaint, is the Athero free driver does not enable high-power mode- my dual boot in Windoze shows a dramatically high dB reading...

Bought this based on other users recommendation that it works with Vista 64. Vista asked for the driver disk and it appeared to load correctly. Didn't work initially, but it was an easy fix to load the driver again manually through Device Manager. Works better than the USB Linksys adapter that I used previously with XP.

This is one of very few wireless adapters that work with Vista Premium 64-bit. This adapter maintains consistent connection even with a limited, one bar connectivity. Said that, the software's Install and the Setup Guide (also the Manual) contradict each other, and there is no EnGenius interface program, just the driver. Truly lousy documentation, but the product works great. Install the driver before installing the EnGenius card.

I was a little nervous about buying. So glad I did. No ridiculous connection software you have to use. Driver only installation. No crashes. I was using a netgear WPN311 that was crashing windows do tot he defective drivers. Problem solved with this device. Speedtest shows true 108 mbps performance. Good deal.
