Speakers do not have a high audio output... that being said you bought a monitor not a surround sound system.

All in all love this display don't fully understand the complaints of DVI I just buy a reasonably higher end graphics card that supports HDMI out. Can truly say it's best output is through an HDMI cord versus crossover or VGA.Otherwise though the colors are crisp I have had no nauseating smell and feel personally if you are spending 300 on a display you can get a card to use it's outputs... if this is an issue and you have to make a hard decision consider a cheaper display and upgrading your card. |

When i first got it, my screen wasn't totally filled. This is a simple problem that can be fixed with the catalyst control centre. You just have to go into it. select desktop and displays. Write click on the acer, and click on configure. Go to scaling options and click to over-scan. This worked great.!
Pros: This monitor is unreal! It has served every single purpose i had. It is sleek, it is beautiful. It is huge! 2 HDMI inputs is unreal for xbox and pc. Comment:
It is unreal. Built in speaker isn't that bad, better than people have been saying. I currently have speakers but i used the built in one for a month and a half and was satisfied. Thank you acer for making such a beautiful product. It doesn't really matter if it doesn't have a dvi cause it has 2 HDMI. Just buy a good video card. |

Only has VGA and 2 HDMI imputs, no DVI.
Pros: With the LED backlight the blacks are blacker and the whites are whiter, colours are bright and sharp. Oh yah, it's slim! Comment:
The VGA input- don't even bother, using a DVI to HDMI cable is not bad but not perfect either, so really you need a video card with HDMI out for the best picture quality. Personaly I don't see the point of the built in audio, I purchased it because, at the time, it was only one of two choices for an LED backlit monitor. I'm happy with it but I think there are some better choices for LED backlit monitors now. |

Great monitor however very poorly designed. Pretty to look at but its beauty seriously hinders its functionality.No VESA connector means that you cannot remove the base at all and mount it.No DVI connector. You must buy a HDMI to DVI to connect it to a computer (or use the D-Sub analogue port).High contrast ratio acheived by a non glossy screen. If you're looking for glossy, this is not however, the picture is great.Low energy consumption. The monitor remains very cool. Amazing stuff. |

It's a really great monitor overall. I specially needed a monitor with 2 HDMI to plug my computer (ATI 5770) and my PS3. I have a small bedroom and I don't have too much space/money to buy a TV and a monitor. That said, it's a good budget tv/monitor for me, but everyone have their own needs. Only downside, is that you have to to trough Menu/option/input/and select your input. I really don't mind this, but it would have been nice to have this on a single button.Highly recommended if you are in the same situation as me! |

Tested OK with PC, XBOX 360, and Blue ray player. Pros: -Automatically switches to the correct input if only one display signal is present. - If you use a monitor alot, the power savings will save money in the long run. - Perfect for office or class room use. The low power and low heat dissapation should make power wiring and AC needs less. - Good control of brightness. - Easy to hide cables as the connectors are in the base. - mat black frame does not reflect glare. Neutral: -Picture quality is about the same as any other good LCD. Whites are a bit brighter. - had to manually set correct refresh rate on PC. Cons: Speaker output could be louder when volume is on full. A single button-press to change input would be nice. -Needs a sound out jack. It comes with a sound in only. This would help with using the hdmi port with better speakers. -A vesa mountable version would be nice. |

BIGGEST ISSUE FOR ME AND WHY I AM RETURNING THIS PRODUCT:The monitor is emitting an overwhelming plastic smell. I think it's because of the external power supply heating up. After having the monitor for a few days my whole bedroom smells like plastic. Even when I left the computer off and vented the room, my room still smells like plastic. I will be returing this cancerous trojan horse back to the store and picking up a more popular brand of monitor, Samsung.If it wasn't for the smell I would probably just keep the monitor and live with the weaknesses. But if I keep it, I'll probably get cancer before this monitor expires and my life doesn't come with a warrenty...I'm not purchasing again. |

It is Huge ! and the Base is Wicked ! (foot) The Screen is very Thin ! Only one complaint ! the speaker doesn't work ! I hear Crackling sounds but that's Ok ! I have desk top speakers... it was more of a surprise to find out it was there ! The Screen Resolution is incredible ! I only have 1 stuck pixel ! The overall brightness makes it invisible anyway ! Overall a great Monitor and the Blue Ray DVD's looks Awesome on this... Very happy with my purchase ! I run it at Maximum resolution with the included HDMI cable and so far ! I am very Happy with my Purchase ! |

I saw this monitor for $269.00 with free shipping and decided to take the plunge. I'm glad their were no brunt pixels and delivery was like in two weeks. I'm happy with the quality of the picture. It's very sharp and bright. It plays hi-def video well. No complaints other then standard 480p video doesn't look as good but I understand the limitation of the digital monitor. I would recommend this monitor to anyone. |

Has a very sleek looking design. I didn't find the picture quality to be super amazing, although im used to more expensive displays, its about as good as any modern TN monitor, but much lighter and thinner! Whats confusing is that they come with 2X HDMI inputs, but no DVI or adapters. Other than that its pretty good, and responsive enough for gamers. |

When using a dvi-to-hdmi converter, the colours appear washed out, with the blacks looking more grey than anything. However that might be the adapter. Using a dvi-to-vga adapter gets better results with the auto tuning feature. Yes I've played around with the hdmi settings but nothing seemed to work as well as standard vga settings. Point point I wish I had known about earlier is that the audio port on this is actually in audio IN, not an audio OUT so the sound from the hdmi input only plays back through the crappy built in speaker. |

I got this with big hopes, looks sharp and leaves a nice impression when you first look at it. however, there was some serious light bleed in the middle of the screen, which was very visible in the dark scenes, and would thus destroy your movie experience, also worth noting is that it takes as much space as a regular LCD, it is LED backlit but not and OLED monitor. bottom line is you should thoroughly check it after purchase to ensure it does not bleed light as some users have reported at other sites too. I brought mine back to the store and the tech saw the problem and agreed upon a return. |

What an amazing monitor in every way. From the style, tilt, looks, light blue glow, size, everything on this monitor is fabulous. The contrast is what we were going for, we bought 2 of these, one for an Xbox 360 and one for our PS3 and we set up the first monitor for Batman's Arkham Asylum, this game is very dark, the contrast is so good we had to turn it down very low and we can see every shadow there is with no pixelation at all! Only one thing I can't figure out, on the pic it shows the LINE OUT JACK for headphones or speakers but on the monitor when we got it it says AUDIO IN and we cannot use headphones and it has built in speakers which we were not expecting because it does not say this monitor has speakers in it in the specs???? Wondering if we got a diff model with audio in and speakers instead of no speakers and sound out??? A TRULY GREAT MONITOR FOR GAMING for $269 on sale or even worth the $303 reg price! |

I just got this monitor for my birthday and I love it. I was able to get it for $269 before taxes and a few days later it's price went up. It performs very good, especially with HD media it has sharp and clear screen.(make sure you have a good graphic card) This is a way to go monitor if you need one for gaming, multimedia and web surfing purposes even for $304. |

If your a gamer and your on an old 19 or 21 inch monitor like I was, I highly recommend this product. Its Bright and the LED backlighting is very nice. Images are very sharp and crisp and games look AMAZING on my Corei7 platform. The price is right and its a very new monitor on the market. Acer makes a very solid monitor these days aswell and they offer 3 year warranty I believe. Id also like to add a contrast ratio like this MAINLY exists on T.V's and not monitors. |

I found this unit on sale for $279.99 the other weekend and since it's so new there were no reviews out...I took a chance and ordered it anyway...apparently TN displays have come a long way over the past couple of years. The unit is so light that one would think that the box contained only packing material and not a monitor. Once unpacking the unit you'll notice a very nice design with slim lines...you'll probably not try to hang this slim boy up, since it's so slim that all connections and such are built into the base. Compared to several TN displays I've seen lately, this unit is very respectable and actually has a decent viewing angle. I've run bluray, dvd, ps3 and xbox 360 games and was quite impressed for what you get for the price. The speakers are a great addition for hooking up consoles and not having space for external speakers. Unlike this unit, there are seveal HDMI monitors out there with no built-in speakers at all, but don't expect them to be very loud. If you are a photoshop artist or along those lines looking for a CRT color gamut, don't purchase this unit for it's only a TN monitor...expect to still pay at least double the price for your needs. However, if you are looking for a nice large crisp display, a bright LED back-light and want sharp hi-def for your console and pc, this unit is definitely worth checking out. Love it's look, picture quality, and weight. Hate it's jank ass controls, and stupid integrated speaker.If they came down in price I would probably get 1 or 2 more, but as it stands now I would rather spend the money on a 120hz led rather than this one.
