Cons: -blue LED is bright, will light up your room at night-needs newest drivers (v3.0.4) to wake from sleep properly in Win7 x64-does not include USB extension cable

I bought this for desktop use to connect to my ESR-7750 on 5GHz. Almost half the price of the big name brand dual-band adapters. Stable hardware version (not 5 different revisions using 5 different chipsets/vendors in the same model name). Like the other reviewer I had some issues detecting the adapter after waking from sleep until I updated the drivers to 3.0.4. Can also use generic Ralink drivers if don't like the stock Engenius drivers. I had to buy a separate 6ft USB extension cable to route it from behind the PC case to get decent "view" of the router, but that is a minor quibble considering the cheap price. |

Best price dual band USB adapter around (Big name ask double for a similiar product). I do not have any other brands dual band adapter to compare, but I am very sastify with the stability and performance of the adapter under Win7. Range is OK, but it may because of the ESR7750 that I am using which is without external antenna. I still have to figure out why connection lost after wake up from sleep in WinXP. Anyway I will soon upgrade all my PCs to Win7 so it's not a big deal. |

Product works fine, don't really need to install the software that it comes with. Windows will use the built in wireless connection manager. |

Pros: NOT made in China, excellent quality, made in Taiwan, bought it for $42.34. Windows 7, o.k.! Dual band 2.4 and 5Ghz frequency and up to 300mbps who can compete? Comment:
Bought this for use with Engenius router which is on backorder and am currently using my old linksys 54g series and where i couldn't get a signal it's actually got me connected right now! Great product, don't hesitate. |
Easily the fastest and least painless setup of any wireless device I've ever owned. Pop in the disk, run the installer, reboot and you're good to go. Once plugged in, it recognized the available networks and automatically connected to the strongest one. The only downside I can see is it's shiny finish makes it a bit slippery which could make it easy to lose. All in all a great addition to my kit.
