Cons: - Included software didn't work on my machine, and the new version on their website still uses the manual from the old version- Annoying beeping while on battery backup (loud enough to wake you up should the power cut out in the night)- Voltage regulation doesn't appear to have any manual settings- Software is currently using over 30MB of memory- Didn't have enough plugs for me and I had to buy a power strip

Pros: - Cheap- Decent battery capacity- Even if you never have to actually use it, the peace of mind is worth the cost- Small form factor- Replaceable batteries- Extremely sturdy- It works as advertised
Comment:
I bought this UPS mostly for the battery backup feature. The power in my area is quite clean, but blackouts are frequent. I was tired of losing data, so I bought this item while it was on sale. For the most part, it was a great purchase. The hardware works great and does exactly what you'd expect it to - supply power to your PC when the AC line goes out. However, the pros of the hardware are well overshadowed by the cons of the software. It uses an enormous amount of system memory and the GUI and manual are rife with grammatical and spelling errors that can only be produced by a free online translator. Not that you'd need the software - the built-in alarm on this thing is enough to wake the neighbors up when the power goes out. You'll have no problem getting to your PC assuming you're somewhere in the ten mile radius where the alarm can be heard. (Joke)All in all, it's very good. If I wanted a batter backup for another PC, I'd probably buy this one again. It does it's job - and that's all I ask.

Cons: The management software can be finiky and clunky at times. Can be noisy.

Pros: Good buy when on sale. Plug layout allows you to easily fit the majority of items you might have including spots for bulky adaptors.
Comment:
Great system for someone who has never really needed or used a UPS and needs something cheap that still performs well.

Cons: A tad noisy for the bedroom if u have sensitive ears.

Pros: Price when on sale.

I have this for my main system and am really considering getting more for my other computers around the home.My only complaint is that it smells of battery acid the first week.Other than that, it has save my system a few times already.

Cons: software, noise

Pros: low price, great from factor
Comment:
The hardware does a great job for the price but the software is badly done. It takes a lot of ram by running on java. You should expect a more friendly interface. I addressed my complains to Belkin's customer's support about the software and they offered me RMA...Also, I find the 60Hz audible annoying because it is louder than my whole computer.

Cons: hmm, could have an even bigger battery :>

Pros: Small, top mounted outlets, fairly good power backup time, excellent pricing
Comment:
This was is a reasonabley good uninteruptible power supply. it was inexspensive, and has good reserve, as well as having top mounted outlets.

Cons: The power management software is kind of primitive. I would like to have a way of setting warning levels, where it would write log entries if the in comming or out going power passes a threshold. Also the polling times suck. I don't care what the power's doing every 5 seconds. if there's a spike it's going to be less then a second so what good is pooling every 5 seconds??? It would be nice to have a realtime graph or something a little more useful.

Pros: both usb and serial support connecting two machinesHas enough power for 2 towers, 2 monitors and router
Comment:
So far I'm extremely happy with this UPS. I've been meaning to get a UPS for a while now but haven't needed to until now. I moved into a new old house that has some bad wiring and until I get a chance to upgrade it I need something to so some line conditioning for me. This UPS has been great. With my latest gaming machine the power coming is was so bad it was tripping the active PFC very frequently (sometimes so much that the machine would blue-screen or reboot). I switch everything out until the last possibility was bad power and low and behold once I got this bad boy no more problems. All in all great UPS. I would totally recommend it to anyone.

Cons: SMALL BATTERIES - Limited runtime as a resultTop Plugs are a hastle and look ugly in my setup

Pros: -USB and Serial connections for monitoring on more than one PC-It is a fairly small unit-Good sale Price
Comment:
A UPS is always a good thing to have. I have three of them, but this is my first Belkin unit. I bought it on sale for >$100 cant go wrong for that price. USB and serial connections are goodBatteries are easy to get at, BUT they are really small batteries. This unit runs on 2x 5AH Batteries. Most Consumer units run on 2x 9AH batteries. Runtime is not as good with this unit but for $100 it's not bad.

Cons: - It smelled like new plastic a lot when it was new and heated for the first times, I had to ventilate the room

Pros: + In special at 90$ it was a great bargain+ Replacing battery is easy+ Powerful enough for my 850W PSU powered computer, Xbox 360 and 27 inches monitor.
Comment:
I like the top ports, the power it can output, the lifetime warranty on everything but the batteries and how easily the batteries are replaced. A great product.

Cons: Only 4 battery backup plugs

Pros: Plenty of Juice for cheap!
Comment:
1200VA for 90$ (on sale) is a sweet deal. Gives me peace of mind knowing my computers are getting better / cleaner power.I find it slightly annoying that there's only 4 battery backup plugs. I find that I plug in a variety of devices, including low power devices like switches, and it's annoying to not be able to put them on the battery backup as well with needing a stupid basic power bar.Anyways, good little unit, but it feels kind of light, so I wonder about how long the battery will actually last.I would definitely get this again at a sale price, but the regular price is a bit stiff.

Cons: Smelly, weak bloated software

Pros: Sturdy, Powerful
Comment:
The peace of mind this provides is invaluable. Prepare for a few days of a leady harsh chemical smell (reported in other reviews on the net too) for the first few days. As a previous reviewer thankfully noted, do not lift this out by its packaging foam: the foam is too flimsy and the device too heavy. Doubles as an additional heater in Winter ! (This piece of equipment is warm !)The software could be better (why it consumes 115 megs of drive space is also a bit of a mystery to me); go for the upgrade from Belkin's site rather than using the bundled application (the previous instance failed to connect). This stuff is heavy; it may be worth ordering it with an item offering free shipping for the whole order if that item's price is less than the cost of shipping.

Cons: nothing in particular, it does what it advertises.

Pros: CompactGood documentation
Comment:
This UPS provides undercurrent protection as well as surge protection for your delicate electronic components. This UPS is fairly compact, offers 4 backup plugs and 4 surge protection plugs, and has a USB and Serial interface to communicate with your computer to shutdown in case of a power outage. Right now I use it primarily to condition the incoming voltage into my system. I have heard it click on a few times, though it is now behind my desk and I don't ever hear it kick in. It's well worth the investment to protect your expensive equipment and protect your data in the case of an unexpected outage.

Cons: Gets very hotOutlets don't allow for plug-in transformersNo Linux support

Pros: Works as advertisedLots of power
Comment:
It's a UPS and it works as advertised. It's their top-of-the-line one at 1200 VA.Unpacking it was scary - it's quite heavy because it has lead-acid batteries. I unpacked it like you would do with anything like this, I grabbed the two styrofoam pieces at the side and lifted straight up. But the box's glue failed (?) and the box fell apart, leaving me holding it in the air by two styrofoam pieces at the side, causing it to promptly fall out. The fall's impact dislodged the front panel, I was able to snap it back in place by unscrewing the case halves at the bottom and spreading them apart while pressing the front panel back in.It gets very hot while charging and in operation while fully charged. This causes it to give off a very strong chemical smell when it's new. Don't place this in an unventilated area or near flammable objects...I also find the front panel lights to be very dim and unable to be seen except directly head-on. And finally, the outlets are spaced too closely to allow for plug-in transformers, the kind used with modems and routers. I was lucky, my router plug-in just barely fit, but my modem plug-in won't.But it works very well - it saved my butt already a few times yesterday when I got several of those computer-killing intermittent power failures during a thunderstorm. Those power failures where the power goes on-off-on-off a few times a second killed my last PC and killed the built-in NIC on this one. There was also a 2-minute power failure yesterday, the unit powered the PC and my power-hungry old CRT monitor just fine while I shut down.I was initially very excited to see that the monitoring software not only had a Linux version but a Linux AMD64 version! Unfortunately it depends on Java, and there's some Java misconfiguration in their install files which causes the installer to crash right away for me. Belkin's only suggestion was "reinstall Java". No thanks, Java works fine for everything else. Also I suspect with my limited knowledge of Java that it's their configuration file that's not working. But I was able to install the Linux package nut http://www.networkupstools.org/ and get it working just fine, so I do have software monitoring and automatic shutdown.Overall, I'm pleased with it.
